As this was my first handycam, i was excited to use it. Altogether it was the perfect one i was looking for. it had good video quality for both indoor and outdoor rec. The 1080/60p AVCHD format enabled good clarity. The quality of the pictures are also decent for outdoor. The best feature in my opinion is its screen can be rotated 180. It will be best if it comeup with larger capacity battery backup.

The first impression is that the camcorder looks much smaller in reality than in the photos. It is like a small size cucumber! Once you open the LCD display, there are three buttons revealed: Power, Delete and Intelligent Auto/Manual. The display has two 'large' buttons Menu and Enter, and four small directional buttons arranged in an oval. These buttons are so small, they are the size of masoor dal grains. Naturally, they are difficult to locate and press. The camcorder pictures are really sharp and colours are rendered faithfully. I could gather this from what little shooting I have done so far. The zoom is incredible! It is impossible to hold the camera steady at higher zooms, so a tripod is a must. The camcorder has a lot of manual functions like White Balance, focus, iris opening, shutter speed etc, but these require you to operate the masoor buttons, so you will need a bit of practice to locate and press the right buttons! Beginners can stick to Intelligent Auto mode. There are three video modes available: HD (the frame rate is not 50, but I was happy with the images I got), iVideo, which is the recommended format for editing in the software that is enclosed, and mp4. Obviously, the finer the image, the more space it takes. Charging is through the USB with a plug-in adapter. The battery is quite small, enough for an hour of recording. They could have given a larger capacity battery. There is a still button on top of the camera for taking 8.9 Mpixel photos. I have not tried this yet. There is electronic image stabilisation, which evens out the jerkiness in hand-held photos. I have not tested without this feature ON, so I would not want to comment on it now. Overall, it is a great camera with many manual options and a great zoom! I am quite happy with it!
