How is Lumia 520 different than Lumia 620? Read to find out!
By TheWP Guyon
There is the BIG question. 620 or 520? Let's see what you get by investing 3.5k more:-
#Nokia Clear Black Screen ie, Extra Bright Screen to be readable Under sun, and with deep black, it gives better experience.
#Front Facing VGA camera for Video calling needs
#LED flash
#Magnetometer (compass) sensor to use apps like Here Maps, Here City Lens, ets which uses compass to fing your location, and its really necessary if you gonna use Maps a lot.
#Extra Loud Speaker
#Secondary HAAC mic for noise cancellation while Calling, voice&video recording, Music playback.
#Dolby Headphones Enhancements to give theater like feel while listening music on headphones.
#Equalizer with 19 presets like Rock, pop, classical, bass etc.
#Smaller screen with same resolution, that means denser ppi, and more clear and crisp screen. (If you want bigger screen, 520 is not that bad either in terms of ppi, but Lack of Clear Black is surely missed)
#Toughned Glass with protection from scratches. (520 has just scratch proof layer, not that tough glass)
#NFC, to use tap and share, tap and play, NFC tags, etc.
#Though Battery is smaller in 620, but due to smaller screen, Clear black display and NO super sensitive touch, both will give almost similar backup.
#Longer Nokia Music Unlimited Subscription.
#An option to increase 620's durability by installing a Water-proof, dust proof back cover. Its not available for 520.
That's surely worth the 3.5k bucks. If you are looking for a phone, which you gonna use for long term, then you should better buy 620, or if your pocket permits, then 720. I feel 520 is for those who changes phone every now and then, and for those who have Budget of 12k dot.
So, I have said more than enough. Hopefully, you Liked my openion. Hint me by giving it a like.
Having question regarding windows phone os/ this phone? you can ask directly to Nokia on twitter @NokiaHelps, they really give instant help. or ask me.

Value for money redefined :)
By Harish KMon
I've pre ordered this phone and have been using this for last 3 days. Been using a lot of android phones till now and was bored of waiting for even call log to appear on them.
Pros : -
· Thinner than expected and feels good in hands
· Camera does a good job, a lot of innovative lenses to choose from.
· Silky smooth UI which never hangs
· Highly responsive touch, works even with gloves on
· Games never hang or lag
· Offline maps with Nokia Here works smoothly (Still Google maps are better)
· Nokia music lets you download all latest and old songs direct to the phone. Even regional language songs.
· Full MS office suit.
· Build quality is awesome with a mat finish on its back which gives a firm grip.
Cons:-
· Comparatively less apps that android. But almost all required apps are present.
· No High end gaming as of now due to the 512 ram limitation.
For the price, this phone is too good to resist. It has got everything to win your heart. The colours on the screen appears very sharp and real. I really cant think of any other phone which can give you these features even above 15k.
For those who are still thinking about the apps, one quick info - only Microsoft and Apple checks every apps before its put In the marketplace. Android has lots of apps, but most of them are buggy, they either drain out your battery or consume all the resources which results in poor performance. Every app in windows store is verified for its quality and you can be sure, it wont slow down your phone. In android if you install a few apps, the phone will start slowing down. But I tried around 30 apps installed in windows. No slowing down was noticed. I believe we should be looking at the quality of apps than the quantity.
Go ahead, buy this phone, you wont regret :)
Moving to Nokia Lumia 520 from Samsung Galaxy….
By Tirtha Chattopadhyayon
Last 2 years I have used 2 models of Samsung Galaxy and from 14th April 2013 I am using Nokia Lumia 520 Win 8 Phone:
=================
Pos:
1) Price – In 10-10.5 K Range
2) Screen size – 4 Inch. Can be readable in sunlight.
3) Camera – Panorama, Smile Shoot etc.
4) HD Video Capture
5) Battery Life – 2 Days with WIFI enabled. Due to unavailability of Airtel 3G service in Kolkata unable to try with 3G.
6) Looks – Nice look & square shape
7) Internal Storage – 8 GB Internal (SD card up to 64 GB). My last Galaxy ACE provided only few MBs and I was facing insufficient storage issue. Also, mounts SD cards very fast.
8) Hardware & Build – Excellent with nice mat finished back cover.
9) E-mail – Tried only Outlook & Gmail and found excellent usability compared to available Android apps. Although it supports almost all types of mails.
10) App store – All most all daily used apps are available in free.
11) Bluetooth – Perfectly works with other devices. I have transferred all my existing contracts from my old Galaxy phone through Bluetooth &preinstalled ‘Transfer My Data’ app.
12) Nice Security – Prevent mishandling like deleting system file.
=================
Cons:
1) No font camera – I don’t use this feature too much.
2) No file manager in phone – But you can connect the phone to any Win7/Win8 machine and use your explorer to manage files.
3) No FM Radio
=================
Tips for new user:
1) Transfer Contacts which are stored in your old phone: Use Bluetooth & pre installed ‘Transfer My Data’ app.
2) Edit Phone Contacts: Save the contacts in Microsoft Account and log in to your Microsoft account to edit & manage them.
3) Arrange & Manage MP3/Music files: Manage the MP3 using external desktop app like MediaMonkey and copy to phone using windows explorer.

Fellow Flipkarters..!!
What I wanna say is that, I observed most of the reviews are not actually "reviews". Don't know why people write everything that comes to their mind. Art of reviewing or being a critic needs some skills to look into things profoundly. I here by wanna list some lines that fellow reviewers wrote in their reviews which were actually funny in a way.
# "There is no secondary camera in this phone"
- C'mon guys.. It's like you went to a bollywood movie and saying that Brad Pitt is missing in this movie. This is bottom version of windows8.
# "Pictures taken at low light are not crisp"
- It's clearly stated that there is no LED flash for camera. Still I donno which moron tries to take pics in dull light with this budget phone.
# "Temple Run doesn't work smooth"
- You are on city roads and you want to hit your top speed?? Get onto an highway bro.. Keep in mind that u paid only 10 grand (July2013)for this phone.
Criticism is not a Kids play. Better concentrate on defects in what you got rather than complaining what is missing. Or if you think that there is a better option than this phone within the price range, then name it and compare it.
ThankYou.
................................... "UPDATE AFTER 1.5 YEARS USAGE" ..........................................
Bottom Line - Windows is Upgrading Day by Day
I have installed 8.1 (Developer's preview) and now I'm quite happy when I compare it with other android devices out there!.. Waiting for Win10 update...Yoohooo!
> Notification bar and many other settings have been added and they are of great use.
> Phone till date never faced any lag while performing usual activities.
> There is not much of a heating problem. But I felt bit of a temperature while gaming with wifi ON. , but not at the level of complaining.
> Battery life is decent. With mobile data pack ON the whole time, It easily lasts for 6-8 hrs on moderate usage.
On Cons side:
> The Facebook app on windows phone is dead slow while compared to android phone (I prefer FBing in Internet Explorer)
> Facing problems with proximity sensor
> Call gets stuck sometimes when I try to pick it(need to off the screen and ON it again)
> Voice reception is not great but OkOk
> In a long run, Windows feels boring.. It has just Apps.. No widgets/wide range themes and graphics. (It depends on personal preferences though)
FALL from Moving Car Window:
Nokia is just unbreakable. Hence prooved. Not even a scratch on the screen. Just the outer shell and battery came off. I put them back. TADAAAHH.. It's back to awesomeness.. Nokia is even a life saver.. don't believe in me?.. Just Google "Bulletproof Nokia lumia 520 save the life of a police officer".. and read the news.
PS: I've dropped this mobile a minimum of 200+ times so far.. and almost all from the height of 4+ feet (from hand). They couldn't even leave a stray mark on it (screen).
PSS: Before placing an order check its price. I've observed wide price fluctuations on flipkart ranging from 5999 to 8999 on same product.

ThankYou.

Real Budget Smartphone
By GUR KIRAT SINGHon
Amazon:- Delivered in time as mentioned.- Product Original.- Packing was good.- Helpful interaction with amazon team :)Bought this handset for my Dad at 6999 INR. Using it from 1 month. Positives:- Light weight.- Easy to hold and goes well in your pockets.- Build quality excellent.- Ips display perfect under sunlight.- Sufficient features and applications available.- Battery life very good last 3 -4 days.- Operating system smooth no lag.- Audio quality good.- Voice clarity good.- Camera apps and camera perfect in sunlight but decent performance under low light :(- The most beautiful feature i found is the Kid's Corner. Here, you can create different profile for your kid. And you will be at peace, while your child is trying her hands at your mobile. With this profile, your child can not make any outgoing calls or can not mend with your important files in the phone.Restrictions:- Front camera- Flash- 512 mb RAM (few high graphics games lags or not possible to play at present). So it is not disadvantages it is actually restriction of this handset ....Disadvantages: - At 3G mode handset becomes hot and battery drains very fast .- The headset bundled with box are not so good and don't have facility to answer the call from headset.- There is no key to search within mobile, instead there is a key that takes you to the web search engine- Bing.- File manager missing.
Perfect back up phone
By Jayon
I already have a 1520 but as with any smartphone, it is always good to have a back up phone when things go bad - battery dies out, repairs and other such disasters.i had to choose between 630 and 520. 630 had the latest processor, but was stuck with a bad resolution and 512 MB RAM. online reviews and feedback and tech sites suggested that 630 is just asking for too much money for poor performance. Then, i decided to get the 520 because it does most of the things that 630 but for 3000 less rupees.i wont recommend 520 for anybody who craves performance. The phone is breezy enough for everyday usage but is bad for anything remotely intensive. As a back up phone, it is just about perfect. Worth the money. Thanks to the cloud, everything syncs flawlessly between my 1520 and 520. That is always a plus. Make sure you get a SD card when you buy the 520.
Super slick Super powerful
By Rakeshon
This is my second Lumia 520 which I got for my wife. First one was got from Flipkart 4 months back. I have used it throughly for 4 months and its the best value for money at the given price. Debate on 512 RAM vs 1 GD is irrelevant for me as i dont use it for gaming. For all office work its perfect with skydrive, office and tight integration with windows. The size is perfect to carry in pocket as I hate huge phone you lug in your hand.Nokia is a tough machine, mine has endured upteen falls without a scratch. Touch is slick, no lag,There is a issue with the camera button but that just requires aligninig the cover properly. I suggest dont buy a case as the sheen of the nokia will be lost with that. Simple screen guard will do. This phone can take rough handling.Regarding delivery. Made in promised time. Neatly gift packed. The tracking on Amazon is haywire they need to catch up with flipkart where you can track the parcel by the hour. My queries on web chat were promptly addressed. But Amazon has competition in face.I brrought this below 8000 as it was cheapest among all online sellers.
Worth every Rupee !

I was looking to replace my ageing Samsung Galaxy GT-I5503 with something contemporary and with similarity to my laptop running Windows 8. The Lumia series fit the bill, was within my budget of about Rs 9000. Incidentally, the Galaxy was purchased by me for Rs 8800/- and this one for Rs 7869/-. The additional Citibank 10% cashback offer turned the deal in favour of purchase. The touch screen is very good and works well even with the screen protectors. The 5 MP camera is great for everyday photography and most apps are available in the Nokia store, incl Whats app. Battery life is fantastic, better than the Galaxy (which required a daily charge) by about 1/2 a day more, with same usage. Mail, chats, etc are better with an improved interface. Call quality is brilliant, the speaker is loud enough. Here maps and Here drive works like a breeze, without data backup from the SIM. I compared it with my Garmin Nuvi 40 in Delhi to navigate from RK Puram to Malviya Nagar, I must say that I was impressed. The instructions are loud and clear, the maps are accurate and fairly detailed. Not very heavy, although the size is uncomfortable for keeping in the pocket. A cover is recommended to protect the phone from accidental drops. (The covers avl in the market are over and above the Nokia back cover, unlike the Galaxy's where the OEM cover is replaced with the add-on cover, which means dual protection). All in all, great value for money. Plus, its a Nokia.
Absolutely Awesome
By Pyrrhiaon
I am currently an Iphone user and needed a secondary smart phone. Am absolutely delighted with the Nokia Lumia 520. The look and feel is fantastic - very upmarket. Bought the white: classy.I had evaluated the 620 also but didnt feel like paying the extra money for the LED Flash and the front camera to take selfies. I loved its size too: its neither too big not too small and fits comfortably in my hand AND in my pocket. Again had felt the 620/720 etc were too over-sized. Comes with a micro-USB charger which means its easy to charge; now that most devices have a micro USB. In terms of usage, find it very easy and intuitive to use. Loved the Here Maps.Been a though-and-through Apple user so I think it will take me a certain while to learn the other Nokia features / apps. As of now, I am very very happy with the Nokia.Plus, hats-off to Amazon. You are my new HOT favorite. Awesome prices and even better delivery. I got my entire order (phone+ 2 books + a chess game) in <12 hours. HOW did you guys do it! IMPRESSIVE.

It is a good phone from nokia and windows. The colouris also good and it's a very good features phone.
Best product for this price
By Bayon Joseon
Because of 512MB RAM, we can't open much applications, it can only carry 2 applications alive at a time. Camera meets my expectation, looks is great. touch is moderate.Overall it meets my expectations. And Amazon delivered it in 2 days.

Having question regarding windows phone os/ this phone? you can ask directly to Nokia on twitter @NokiaHelps, they really give instant help. or ask me.
(This was in addition to my original review~Ayush Mathur)
