Don't fall for the "Free" offer

2. Microsoft will verify the COA and send a confirmation mail to the customer.

What they don't tell you :
5. You will get multiple emails from TimeUs.net asking for This number, and that number and the scan of the flipkart bill, and the photo of the box, and the photo of the box and the sticker.
6. You will get emails saying the offer expires in 3 days.
7. The Invoice that you have shared does not feature the COA no. Can you please click a photo of the box and send us the scanned copy clearly depicting the COA no and manufactured date.
I think you need to buy a scanner , or a camera along with this software, just to get the free gift.

I received the software "Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student" on the 3rd day of the order.
It includes
>> DVD of Microsoft office 2010 Home and Student.
>> DVD of Hindi Language Pack.
Programs in Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student are:
1. Microsoft Word.
2. Powerpoint.
3. Excel.
4. One Note.
I purchased this office in Rs. 3070.
Now the price is increased to Rs 3400 due to rise in Dollar value.
So I request you all to buy the product, when the dollar is down. It will benefit you !!!

god knows when Microsoft will understand in India regular customers cant afford to chuck out 4000 bucks just like that.
good product for home users but over priced i would say...
if priced somewhere around 500-1000 then it would be a must have...
Avoid Combos unless all products from same company

Flipkart delivery - excellent
Microsoft Office 2010 - Great. Product is the last in MS Office which is not tied to the machine on which it is installed. Eg if you were to buy MS Office 2013 (latest) instead, you can use it on one machine only. Once that machine's life is over, you will have to spend again on office license. Other option is Office 365 which is expensive at USD 100 per annum. Only saving grace - it can be deployed on 5 devices. Can't see how cost justifies it however.
Officeoffers.in - There's a Combo deal - Philips USB speaker with MS Office. Those guys are totally different from FlipKart however and they waste time by asking for all kinds of details and proof of purchase. The final insult - they did not even deliver the speaker after taking all details and proof. That's a bummer. FlipKart should learn a lesson from this and should not offer Combos when it does not have control over shipping of all products by itself.

among various propreitory softwares microsoft beats them all. Microsoft office is made lighter by cutting down on unneccesary programs , also the updates and provision for installin the software in three computers is so handy that we have 3 computers at home , comfortably have to just buy one copy of software. hence within limits of our affordable range. Thank you Bill gates :-)
