Amazing product..!!but it disappointed me :(
By Roshan Faizalon
This is an amazing product. However, after 2 months as 2 of the keys on the keyboard stopped working. The enter key and the menu shortcut key just refused to work. When I tried fixing it at an authorized service center, they said my keyboard is eligible for warranty but they're not sure whether they're authorized to fix it. It seems the problem was that my keyboard was not registered online making it eligible for warranty. I'm disappointed at FLIPKART because they did not inform me about registering my product online.
Nice and Comfortable
By Chaitanya Kon
I do a lot of programming and hence I required a keyboard that is ergonomic and reasonably priced (not a Rs25,000/-) one. So, I kept on searching and found this keyboard to be reasonably priced.
If you have been using wrong hands to type the letters on the keyboard, you are going to have issues. I have the habit of typing the letter "b" with my right hand. This caused me an issue for about 3-4 days after which I got habituated to this keyboard.
There is a sweet spot for the space bar (almost to the center). Unless you hit the space bar at that point it would be little difficult to press it. You would get habituated to it in a few days.
The other non-standard buttons (like zoom, my favorites, calculator) are not useful at all if you are on any OS other than on windows. I use this keyboard only on Linux and so these shortcuts aren't useful at all for me.
The hand rest and the angle of the keys are the greatest asset of this keyboard. They are very nice to use without causing any strain to your wrist and fingers. Keys are nicely lifted and the press is smooth without any glitches.
Natural Comfort
By Raju Menonon
This is really a great keyboard and is a must have for any programmer. Before purchasing this keyboard I searched for reviews and many people complained about the spacebar that it's sticky, the fact is when I started using the keyboard the spacebar was not as easy to press as rest of the keys but after using it for couple of days/weeks it softened and now it's as soft as rest of the keys.
Pros:-
- Natural Wrist Position, great comfort.
Cons:-
- The scroll key is by default for zooming and no easy way to change it's function.
- No Backlit keys. For the price and a wired keyboard, backlit keys would have made this a killer deal.
- Can't use a normal keyboard after using this one, when working on the laptop using it's keyboard feels really odd and difficult to use.
Updated 2014
Spilled about a spoon full of coffee on the keyboard and it became unusable. Bunch of keys have stopped working, even keys where coffee wasn't spilled isn't working. Now using Cooler Master mechanical keyboard and would recommend everyone to go for those. If this keyboard came with mechanical switch it will be a killer keyboard. This keyboard doesn't give a consistent typing experience, apart from the ergonomic wrist placement there is nothing more to this keyboard.
'The One' for touch typists
By Amarendra Bandlaon
This keyboard is not for you if :
1. You type with two fingers or with one hand
2. You type sitting at awkward angles and with keyboard on your lap
3. You keep keyboard on the floor
If you do touch typing (typing without looking at keys) and love sitting in erect posture, this keyboard is definitely for you. The space bar will be a bit hard to press initially but it does soften later. The cushioning on the palm rest is superb and gives much needed support to your palms (unlike those other hard plastic pads), the keys are absolutely silent (well, except the space bar) and feedback is awesome. Thanks to the tilt and the elevation, my palm and fingers are at perfect position and it feels absolutely awesome. The only problem is that, after a while, I may hate going to office where I have to use normal keyboard :)
Good keyboard, but falls painfully short on the space bar
By Simran Biron
I used this product for a month. I have RSI in my thumb due to typing and using keyboards at work. However, with this product, the space bar is a big problem and is very hard. I use one thumb to press the space bar and the keyboard actually aggravated my RSI.
It may have been the piece I used and I have asked for a return and a replacement if possible. But to future buyers - this is not a cheap keyboard so I would strongly suggest you try at a store before you guy.
The other keys are butter smooth. But we use the spacebar more than the other keys. I think Microsoft should have split the spacebar in two keys. It would have been a perfect keyboard then.
In the meantime, I am back to my logitech keyboard.
I am giving it one star, because it is not ergonomic at all. For other fingers, maybe, but for the most used finger, the thumb, its a thumbs down. And for a product advertised as ergonomic, it is definitely not.
Please also read the reviews on the net with the spacebar problems before purchasing.
