no doubt about it is d best phone in that price..........1.5ghz quad core which really faster performane....12mp camera.........its good on daylight bt at night its average.....front camera is enough to video call...........bettery back up not bad.......led notification style is very impressive......Sensor's are very gd..........5 inch display (294 ppi) very colurfull..........storage is nt bad.......app storage .9 mb available......u can move app to sd card.......very soon it get update to 4.4 dis is d really gd news.........MMX is d best ever....... :)
A value for money phone

Got myself a Micromax Canvas Magnus A117 (White) from amazon.in for Rs. 12850, 2 months back and here's my experience since...-Pros--As the specs mention, the phone's got a 1.5ghz quad core processor, this basically assures you that the phone will run all the apps butter smooth, I haven't found 1 app on play store that creates a lag.-The 4.7inch, 720p screen is just brilliant for watching movies or reading when traveling, a very good alternative from carrying around a heavy laptop.-Bigger companies(like sony or samsung) generally tweak the stock android OS with a heavy UI, although this adds to the look and feel of the system they generally tend to create a lag on the phone's. However micromax hasn't done much of tweaking to the OS, which in turn gives you the true android experience with no lags at all.-A phone with a similar configuration from Sony or Samsung will cost over a 20k, compared to those, this 1s clearly a bargain.-Battery lasts for over a day under normal usage, which is very good for a phone of this configuration.-Cons--Accessories are really difficult to find and are very flimsy, It literally took me a week to find a back cover for this phone which cost me around 200 bucks. And after using the case for a month the edges began to chip off. Then I went ahead and git my self one of those original cover which cost a 1000buks, I had to return it cause the charger pin wouldn't fit through the hole present on the original case. This is the quality of accessories that you get to buy for this phone-Camera is just utter trash, although this item has a 12mp camera there is a lot of noise in the photographs.-phone heats up under heavy usage.-The speaker basically sucks, the sound keeps dropping which is really annoying. However, the playback on my Sennheiser headphone was pretty good.Overall If you are a person who believes in value for money and don't give a dam for after market accessories and not into photography, this is the one for you.P.S,I have read a lot reviews which said that the playback quality even when you connect to your headphone or external speakers is not that great and give a lot of echo. This is because the Sound enhancement is enabled. Please disable it and you'll find a huge difference in the playback quality. Disable it by going to Setting>user profiles>untick 'BesAudEnh'.

Purchased this from amazon for 12139/-. I will write the cons first as they are few:1. The power button is not fitted properly and I have doubt on its durability. Other than that the built quality is awesome.2. Its pretty hard to remove the battery ones its inserted. I had to poke it out.3. Internal memory is just 1 gb.4. Camera doesn't have image stabilization. Your hands need to be stiff to bring out excellent photos, else the photos are hazy.As for the pros, they are many .... snappy processor, great call clarity (better than nokia), fast wifi, 600 mb ram always free, aluminium back, games run great, apps can be moved to external memory, HD recording, Power VR gpu, great screen, otg .... for the price it has great value for money. I have used this phone for last 10 days and its working great. Hope this review helps you. Happy shopping !!!
worst service

the product is not upto the mark and within a month the problem of hanging had started.service is the worst thing.I purchased micromax canvas magmus 117 for my friend 3 months before from amazon . the product was fine initially, in few days the hanging problem started which lasts for a day. when we tried to contact service centers in Bangalore none of them were ready to work with warrenty phones and they want us to pay for service. finally, with lot of effort we found a service center at Vijay nagar who agreed to repair it in warranty. the thing is they are taking one month for repair, for a problem which other service centers that work on out of warranty phones promised to do it in a hour. I feel it a tactic from the company to consume the money from the customer. who will leave a phone for a month at service center.I personally regret for buying the phone of this brand and I don't feel like suggesting to anyone with the worst ode of service the brand is offering.and inspite of ringing the head office for many times the people are not responding, the numbers that are given in the website are also fraud and most of the service centers do no offer in warrenty service which is cheating the customer.

The best product under 12 k or 15k category.This review is written after the phone is subjected to "rigorous" test.1. Storage -- people who complain that the phone internal memory of 4gb is less can opt for microsd cards (class 6 recommended).Every apps can be moved to the sd. For better phone access use - wondershare gomobile from pc.2. Gaming -- Batman dark knight rises ran without any lag. Game can even be resume after say a phone call.3. Camera -- one of the best cams , better than Turbo a250. Videos upto 720p. Can't really complain in this segment.4. Battery -- 2000mAh is good and last for a day. Recommend a portable charger (ambrane powerbanks are dependable) of atleast 4000mAh for longer juice.5. Build --Solid aluminuim case..much better than the plasticky ones.6. Root --- incase you want to root, its safe and easy using framaroot.Verdict -- if you are looking for a 15k phone then grab this one .
