Panel gone after 1.11 months

So after 1 year and 11 month, my TV is gone. There was flickering in the TV and a white line was coming in the bottom section of the panel.So raised a service request with Micromax through their site and after 2 days, they messaged and called me. A day later, technician called and came home to check the TV.He confirmed that the panel is gone and will cost me at least 70% of the TV's price to fix it. Since the warranty is only for a year, I will give to an outside technician and see whether this can be fixed, else will leave it. As spending 12-15k for fixing a 18K TV is not worth it.Will update here if the outside technician is able to fix it.
Very good product

I was hesitant to buy this at the first time. After so many reviews and product specifications, comparisons I decided to go for it. There was some delay so I contacted Amazon and they did it superbly to deliver item in next 2 days. What a packing...!!! Just too good. It take around 10 minutes for me and my son to see actual TV inside. We install it on our own .. its really easy to install on stand or on wall. A very well described manual and information provided from Micromax. I saw review that stated as sound quality is poor but I want to confirm that it was too good with connection of TATA sky HD box as well as with the USB movie play. Superb sound .. and one thing the picture quality. It is splendid. I did not think that the product was this much satisfying all our family needs. We have a big hall around 14x18 ft and we mounted the TV in TV cabinet which we did by interior designer. TV look awesome from all positions in the hall and with the superb picture quality. My family and me are very much pleased to purchase this product for such a good price. I am using now for past 15 days and very good feeling to watch. I think life of TV should also be good but I can comment on that after say one year. Thanks Amazon and Micromax for such a good product.
good tv & service

Pretty decent tv, for the price. Installed it myself. Tv had a problem after few weeks of use, probably due to an electrical overload, but was repaired promptly on-site, under warranty, after a single call to the customer service. Happy with the service back-up of micromax. One minor negative is that their led tv helpline, even though was very helpful, works only on standard office hours.
Screen problem within 2.5 Years

I bought this product in September 2015.Lasted for about 2.5 years. Later, the screen started showing flickering effect and white lines at bottom and top of the screen.Called the customer support, their agent said that screen will have to be replaced and "screen cost is TVs cost", and it was not under warranty as well.Rs. 20,000 for 2.5 years of entertainment seems to be bit expensive.

If your budget is low, please consider this one. Don't fall for stupid marketing gimmicks of the multinational companies. Even Indian companies can manufacture good electronics. Let's support them.
Let me state the Pros and Cons of this piece of beauty.
PROS:
1. Brilliant HD quality TV.
2. Comes in a price range of 21 K. Too good ! Similar specs are given at a price range of 45 K by Samsung, LG and Sony.
3. Slim and looks are simply awesome. Its immaculate finish and looks could make anyone fall into love with it.
4. It supports almost all standard audio/video formats.
5. Connectivity wise it has all HDMI VGA USB (2 ports) and AV components.
6. User interface is so simple and uncomplicated that even a person with less intellect could operate it easily.
CONS:
1. You will need a HD Set top box for better results, even the picture quality is decent with a simple local cable connection.
2. USB ports are in the back side of TV. If you mount the TV on wall, it is a pain to plug a pen drive in. (SOLUTION: Buy an USB to USB extension cable and .. problem solved! )
2. It is Micromax. Some brand conscious people could hesitate buying Micromax goods.
VERDICT: I now feel proud on myself that i made a wise decision for buying this TV. So, go for it guys. There is nothing better than this. Happy shopping !! Smileys..
