A basic 4 inch phone running old Android version.
By Mac Reviewson
Lenovo A390 is a smartphone aimed at buyers looking for a basic phone. This doesn't have specs that will blow up your mind, and is not suitable for high end gaming and all. This runs 3 year old Android version - ice cream sandwich. If your use of a smartphone is limited to a few apps like Facebook,Whatsapp, snapchat etc, this can treat you well. Keep in mind that this has a small battery so you would need to recharge multiple times a day if you are a heavy user.My recommendation is to pay a few more thousands and buy quadcore,1GB ram devices like Xolo Q700,Xolo Q700S etc which not only gives you great performance, but also gives a bigger battery to get you through the day.

Waste camera
By DILEEP KUMAR Don
Overall ,the product is good except one thing-The camera. The so called 5MP camera is such a waste so that you can't take minimum quality picture even in bright light.

amazon sell old phone
By Makon
amazon selling old phone at cheap price And making fool, i buy lenovo A390,, amazon send me 9month old phone , when i was checked waranty on lenovo website , i was found warranty of this phone activated 9month ago, very dispointed when amazon not responding for return this phone, bad experience with amazon shoping, IN FUTURE I WILL NEVER WANT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM AMAZON,,, SO FRIENDS THINK TWICE BEFORE ANY DEAL WITH AMAZON
Don Not Buy Lenovo, Toshiba Online
By Amazon Customeron
I am not writing this review on the specific item but on the whole. Recently Lenovo, Toshiba Canon discourage buyer to buy items from amazon, flipkart or snapdeal wand warn that the warranty may not be valid if you buy from them. I bought this Lenovo A390 from Amazon and when I check the warranty online it shows that the warranty for the item is about to expire within 3-4 months and the warranty for accessories are already over. I contacted lenovo and they told me to contact the dealer directly to rectify the warranty as they don't provide online warranty correction for smartphones and then I contact Amazon and they initiated a return & refund instead. So be aware of the fact and you can visit Lenovo website to see the warning displayed on their homepage itself.
Good phone with cheap accessories
By Sureshon
I purchased the phone 2 weeks back. Phone is very responsive, has pretty good features and preloaded with multiple apps. Really good for this price.Positives:Very fastSlim and handyBrightness and contrast is goodInbuilt speaker is very clearWas able to browse with 3G and it is really fastConnects to WiFi without any problemNegatives:Headphone provided is very poor, not able to hear anything even with 55% volume, When we cross 60% we can here very low voiceWhen you hold it horizontally (landscape) and tilt it the display is not good and looks like we are seeing the negative in the film. So while playing games if we tilt the phone the display is a problemThe charger and data cable provided looks cheap and does not fit perfectly in the electric slots and it is shaky.Camera quality is not great keeping 5 MP in mind, we can say it is equal to 2 MP without flash.Overall: If you want a good android phone which responds fast, with good voice clarity on calls and manage your mails or browse a lot, this phone is best. But if you are a hard core gamer and fond of clicking pics then this is not a right choice.
Lenovo A390 - My 2 Cents
By Sreenivason
I have been using A390 since few months and my findings are:1. Good interface, except - call log confusing some times as it is not correctly displaying the last call made and missed calles.2. Since using dual sim finding it difficult to navigate the interface to make calls with a particular sim3. Average camera4. Average battery5. Phone form factor feel is good.5. Pixel quality is good.6. Few useless apps comes with phone, but that's okay one cane ignore them,7. Definitely worth money.
Excellent phone @ the price, but small issues with speakers & power button.
By Destination Infinityon
Let me finish with the issues first: The loud-speaker, though loud enough, is not of good quality. The volume shifts up and down, arbitrarily, by itself. The power button is placed in a position where it is difficult to press it. I need to use my nails to press the power button everytime the phone goes to screensaver mode. Sometimes, the button gets struck. These are the only two issues I found in this phone, over the last one month that I've been using it. The looks of this phone is good - doesn't feel like a 5k-something phone! The aluminum ring on the side adds to its premium finish. But the phone itself is made of plastic and you'll feel the light plastic when you remove the flap behind. If you are removing it for the first time, there is a small opening placed on the side. Start by nudging the flap out from there. Don't know how much time I spent trying to figure out how to open this phone! The custom android interface provided by Lenovo is good - that was one of the attractions for me to buy this phone, it adds to the premium phone look. The 3.5" microphone jack doesn't drive an external Alltec Lansing amplifier/speaker set I have (My earlier Moto Rokr did). The radio is somewhat shaky, I haven't tried the GPS yet - I hope it will work!3G is very good - I connect this phone with my laptop to browse the net and the speed is good. I watched an MP4 movie and the quality of the movie on this small screen was surprisingly good. But you need the file in MP4 or 3gp for good quality viewing. Converting DVD format to one of the mobile formats doesn't play well. I play only Angry Birds and billiards, and I love these two games! They play well on my mobile. You cannot download certain games like FIFA 2013, etc. because they are so large and the 2 GB internal memory given for this purpose is not always sufficient (esp. when it is loaded with songs, etc.). Android 4.0.3 is a disappointment, but frankly, I don't know what extra things I would have done even if this phone had come with KitKat! The camera doesn't take good photos in low-light, but if the external light is good, it's fine. For the price, this phone looks and feels like a premium model. 4" screen and 512 MB RAM are just enough for most applications. With Lenovo buying Motorola recently, you know they are serious about the mobile business. Just go for it! :)
