i have been using galaxy ace from past 2 years and my room mate decided to buy an android phone
I suggested him this phone as it was a combination of good hardware with a brand name and yet so cheap.
2.16 GB is available (1.05 GB user accesible for media and around 1GB is reserved to install apps from market or other source)
display , battery , performance everything is great.
a little disappointed with speakers but for 8k price its ok.
video recording could have been better as per the available hardware.
awesome customisation of jelly bean by huawei devs... surely will astonish you.
a slim phone , light in weight and pretty awesome built quality.
surely better choice than samsung young and nowadays every phone is built in china only even the iphone (designed in california) and market pundits have predicted huawei as the next mobile giant... so dont be scared about the brand at all, they have there reputation at stake.
and yes it has a compass.

#some pros-
boot fast
good screen resolution
touch is very responsive
GPS is working fine,got a fix(30miters range) in less than 5 sec,when sitting in my room.
come with white and black back cover.
Fast browsing.
Play 720p videos. No shuttering,no lag,can smoothly backward and forward video.Tested with mp4, avc codec is not supported in this phone by default player...but 3rd party player like mx player or other solve the problem.
Temple run 2 running without a single lag at full speed on best display settings
#some cons
This phone is heavy RAM eater,only around 150 MB free,OS ,service and apps occupied
max ram,in 512 MB only 394 is usable.
no screen protector
heavy finger print eater,always have to clear with soft-cloth
Camera auto focus is a piece of shit. make videos look lagging .
Less internal memory.Fortunately you can move app to SD card via apps.
Not tested battery backup,seems to be good.Yet to test Shadowgun and Dark Knight Rising on this phone. If they will run smooth,this phone will be really good. Speaker should be more louder,I did not heard phone ringing when outside,but it's not a big problem.
OK. That's all for now...I will come back later with a detailed pros and cons list very soon.

1.) Till now there is no root method available. But it will be like every phone has.
2.) It plays these all three games smoothly.
3.) It has no digital compass. Only 3 sensors (proximity, Ambient light, Accelerometer)
4.) Yes, the box contains extra black panel.
Also a few things to consider:
1.) it has a very beautiful looking notification LED.
2.) Battery backup is decent. Makes you through a day with average use.
3.) Photos taken in dark environments using flash are very yellow tinted.
4.) also there are some graphic issues with GTA vice city, The dark knight rises. FIFA 12 runs fine but audio stutters a bit.
5.) volume through the speakers is very low. If the phones on bed normally (not flipped over), you will not hear your ringtone even if you are just a meter away. But audio through loudspeaker is decent while using FM. Also clear via earphones.
6.) In box earphones are just trash.
7.) Apps can be installed to SD like q800
benchmark scores are:

multitouch: 5 point
Best phone for this price range, and I think for more than this price range.

I bought this phone a month back. Instead of writing a long paragraph, I'll just explain the phone in it's pros and cons.
PROS
1. It has an amazing screen, don't let reviews or anyone tell you any different. You can go on xda-forums to know how much the European markets admires this phone since this price range just kills all the other phone.
2. It has a LED notification indicator on top. It is a very good feature, and I find it very practical to use instead of unlocking the screen to check if I have a message or an email.
3. It has Android 4.1, I'll talk about the rooting after the cons. It's a must( for me atleast) to get this phone rooted.
4. Everything else, like all the pro's are as said by other people. Plus, people online complain about the camera although I don't find it that bad. It is good, although not as good as high end phones but keep in mind you are buying a phone with so many features for around 7k, it's really worth it.
CONS
1. The speaker is located on the back, so if you have kept your phone on your bed beside the pillow, you won't be able to hear it. But I can hear it since I am not a very sound sleeper, so it's okay. Plus, there are apps you can download to boost the speaker volume.
2. The screen is very glossy, due to which it is tough to see in daylight. I can live with it, because I could just put my hand on the phone and use it.
Okay, so when I bought the phone, I was completely new to Android. I have used iOS before and I got an Android phone just for the ope-platform it provides and the unlimited things you could do.
So the first thing I did was to find out how to root the phone. What rooting does is basically gives applications more access to the system controls, therefore you can customize your phone more, and make it faster.
You can google only for Huawei-Y300 root and you can follow the procedures. It's very easy to use and then you could download apps such as Android Tweaker Pro which makes your phone very fast.
In short, this phone is very worth the price. Trust me, and buy it. :)

Got it from Flipkart. Need not mention delivery was pretty swift.
Coming to the product my main focus is the gaming performance. #Leave just Temple Run and other popular games it also plays high end games like Dead Trigger, Frontline Commando, Real Football without a single jerk. Gaming experience on this device was like a sweet surprise to me.
#Battery is also good. Though gaming drains the battery very fast but other things like wifi, bluetooth, music and calls don't suck up the power with that greed. With lot of multitasking (wifi download, music, gaming, lots lots of calls) i need to recharge it twice a day
#Display, graphics, voice quality over a call and touch are awesome
#Video calls over hangout just perfect
#Ringtone and music volume low but music volume is decent with my samsung earphones
#In box earphones useless
#App 2 SD works
#Removable battery (somebody asked)

Though it promises to give 21 Mbps of download speed, comes no way near it but it still gives reasonable speed but I must admit, it takes care of all my devices and connects them with internet.
