I would recommend to list down and prioritize your requirements first before choosing any product and secondly admit the fact that "Every product will be superseded by other(in technology and price), so you can't get the best product but you can make the product , the best of yours". The fact is its really complicated to choose a mobile without above recommendations. I had been comparing the mobiles under 16K with dual Sim for past 3 months. The products which I had taken for comparison are Samsung - S Duos, Core, Quattro and HTC - Desire V, Desire U(replaced desire V), Desire X DS and some products in Sony, LG, Nokia. My requirements were an elegant looking (especially white) mobile with attractive gestures, decent graphics for gaming, pleasant music experience and of course smooth surfing (incl FB & Whatsapp...). I found HTC Desire X DS suits my requirements at the most. Out of my 2 weeks experience Pros are # Awesome external finishing with great white look - HTC polar white is unique.. try that!! # Super LCD2 screen - whether others mostly have TFT # HTC sense 4+ Interface- I am addicted to it! # 1 GHZ Dual Core processor - More than enough for the mobiles in this range # Auto Call forwarding option - To compensate Smart Dual Active (in Dual SIM Phones) # Car Mode - The mode which is very useful while you are driving # Decent Camera - 5 MP nice to have with LED Flash On Par < 768 MB RAM - Compact for this configuration but if you are a full time gamer it may disappoint you < Battery - Charge stands for 1 Day & 14 hours of usage with full time 3G activation - quite decent < Beats Audio - It’s okay but not promising < One click power saver - nice try < Improved Galley Look Cons > Gets heat after 2 hours of usage (due to Dual core processor - think of Quattro (quad core).... :-( > No HD..... > Not both SIMs are 3G its 3G+GSM > Little Costly for the features- don't know why HTC has limited models which are costlier Previously I had HTC desire C and it got hanged up, soft keys weren't working where I had been forced to scarp it literally. After that many advised me not to go for HTC but I believed HTC has thin element which supersedes other brands it may be gesture or appearance or interface, where HTC is the best. Believe it or not once you used to HTC you need to think a lot before switching to other brand - it’s nothing but HTC sense. Hope you got a better picture on this mobile.... One last thing.... never drop your mobile even throwing in bed/ pillow... which caused my HTC desire C to behave abnormal.. Whatever may be your mobile.. take care of it.

So this is the first non-Nokia mobile phone in my family after 17 nokia mob in last 10 years. I will directly go to main points of HTC Desire X and its comparison with Galaxy/Xperia of same price same. 1. Very handy,easy to use due to its 9mm thickness and teflon back-side for firm grip (samsung mob being bigger in width cannot be handled in single hand, hence fatigue of hands) 2. Super LCD resolution is such an enviable thing, super bright n vivid like water and clearly visible even in sun-light 3. Nobody can tell that it is a 5MP camera, HTC image chip support & Super LCD makes it fantastic moment capturing device 4. Speed is far better than samsung, no hang problem so far inspite of my fast speed typing and switching between apps, supported by a high responding touch screen 5. Ear phone sound is like woofer, equivalent to a Sony ear phone costing 2000Rs 6. Battery : this is something which always pains a smartphone user. But HTC is amazing in its battery backup due to efficient battery and energy saving features. You do not have to always connect mob to laptop like samsung/xperia users. HTC will support u thru out the day. So to sum up, nothing could have been better, it is BEST. Perfect combination of all features in such a smart price.

Update 17/Oct/2013 Called HTC again as this has become a pain up my a$$ to receive over a 100 messages every hour. The girl who picked up the phone was ill trained. She told me it wasnt HTC problem as Android was Google product and Jelly Bean had no option to disable it, so I would have to live with it. This is a completely pathetic answer! She was repeating that it had nothing to do with HTC and it is Google's problem. LOL. Die HTC die. (HTC, if you ever read this, the complaint number is 13ind420005795) I am going to take these guys to consumer court if this doesnt get resolved asap. ---- I had ordered one of these and as someone had said earlier, there is a massive bombardment of cell broadcast messages. These messages would not let me do anything at all as they are popping up every minute. I just got off the phone with HTC on this and what the guy had to say was "Saar, HTC dual SIM phones do not have option to disable cell broadcast. You need to call the service provider." Pray tell me why are you selling phones which have problems like these. I am an old school fellow and had a poor 3K dual SIM Samsung phone earlier which worked very well for me, other than the lack of 3G. Seems like I will have to donate this new phone to someone and go back to my old phone itself. I inserted the SIM and activated and then deactivated the cell broadcast on this SIM through my old samsung dual sim phone. However, cell broadcast messages are still popping up on the HTC when that same SIM is used on this phone. Agreed, I may not be very tech savvy but I wonder if all people buying phones like these are super geeks who know how to (and have time) tackle problems like these. Pathetic! Moreover, no user guides/manuals with the phone?

It is such a worst product which i have not seen and not heard also. Its battery heats up like anything. Goes beyond 55 degree cant touch the mobile in your hand at all. Its battery back is too low that you cant not use continuously more than one hour. Please Please dont go for that its my hand on experience. Please guys dont even think of that. All HTC products have battery back less. Do think before going for that product. Please do spend time on reading this than spending that much money on that product.
