Please do not buy Htc 820s or any HTC mobile from flipkart, HTC Service centers refused to take phones even if its in warranty period. i m suffering between flipkart and Htc.

guys one more issue after using this phone for a week i found my phone automatically switchedoff for half an hour .... every time it is showing that it been disconnected when i try to connect it with my laptop... and seriously it take 5 to 6 hours to get fully charged i can say it as one day i returned from office at 9 am and put my phone (15% battery remains ) and when i woke up at 3 pm it still charging it means in 6 hour it only done 84% battery wow.....
so i decided to complain to flipcart customer care bt it was horrible experience they told me to install a app then i dont know what they checked n told me everything is fine in ur phone.... now what shall i do..???? so be aware its ur money dnt waste like me use it sm

truly an amazing phone..i"ll definitely prefer 820s over samsung or any other mobile inthis price segment.
#flawless permoance...battery gets you thruough the entire day with average gaming ,surfing , texting,and call time..
#huge screen and striking looks..though its not 1080 p but gives away an fantastic display quality...
#it takes a little more time than usual to charge fully but isn't a problem if are textning or gaming along with charging
#boom speakers are adequately loud...and the feel of this phone is that of high ranged mobles...
12 gb user avaible internal space is quite helpfull and even with 4-5 apps running 1gb ram is free to make/recieve calls or surf the net..
#i've read many reviews saying that it overheats..but i haven't faced such problem..its very good phone and worth the money..
one more thing, grey or black variant are better looking than sartoni white..
820s is the best

I have both the version of 820 and 820S. I felt 820S is better because it support 64 bit applications. Though processor speed people say is low i applied some material games which depends on processor and only 820S supports it.
Camera of-course HTC camera quality is not as expected but check Sony 21 MP camera with HTC 13 MP Camera then you will never comment of Camera of HTC.
Sound no one can comment on HTC sound.
I support HTC 820S as of now.
Don't Go with this phone

Don't go with Desire 820S. Desire 820 and 820Q are way better than this phone. This phone doesn't comes with Full Sense UI. It has lighter version Sense UI and a mediatek chipset even at 22K whereas 820 and 820Q has full Sense UI. This phone has hardened glass whereas 820 and 820Q comes with Gorilla Glass 3. You can check all these info on HTC India website.

Disappointed from HTC...After reading reviews I bought this phone at ?19000...It gets extremely hot as you can literally use it as hot massager when data is on...Even with 2gb ram it lags...Camera is disgusting...Battery backup is also worst...Only +ve is that its processing speed is good while installing apps...
Defect Piece with fault camera specs

Hi,Amazon have mentioned Rear camera as 13 Mega Pixel and Front as 8 Mega Pixel, but when i opened and checked the mobile it is showing Rear camera as 9.5 Mega Pixel and Front as 6 Mega Pixel only. I have spent 18000 rs for this. My friend has spent 10000 rs to his mobile and getting nice pics quality than me even though he also had 13 MegaPixel cam.

Yes, you read that right. Very disappointed with HTC for coming up with this degenerate piece of crap. It's gotta be the worst phone in the market at this price. Camera (both primary as well as secondary) has a lot of shortcomings, no noise reduction, focusing takes too much time, weak flash (only rear). Performance wise, it can be termed decent, but at this price range, one really expects much more. Coming to battery backup, this is another reason NOT to buy this phone. At this price, 2600 mAh battery is seriously a no-go. So, take my advice & don't even consider buying this horrendous phone. Rather, go for LeTV or Moto or Lenovo or OnePlus.

I bought HTC desire 820s . I'm using this mob only few months. After 8 months phone have dead. In 8 month before somany problem will affected. Phone suddenly off, created lines in display, unconditional heating so many. So im doubted, amazon selling to bad product.
Misleading

Everything about the phone is fine. But the product description on manufacturer's site was misleading. They mentioned micro USB support but micro USB pen drive doesn't work. Previous version of the phone(Desire 816) has support for it. I bought this phone as a gift for my father who loves watching movies along with a micro usb pen drive. This is just stupid. I would happily accept exchange for a product that actually has this feature and is of equal value.
