Hardly two years came. Now all of the sudden it is dead. Went off simply for no reason. Took to the Dell service center after three days, phone came from them saying motherboard is gone. They add up saying it is better to buy a new one then spending. What a sick experience, buying this cheap product. I hate this and heartily saying don't ever buy this HELL (dell) product any more.

Very good build quality when compared with the other tabs that sell under 9K.Specs:8'' - comfortable browsing and reading experience; though there might be some issues with the touch screen that needs to be refreshed periodically.16GB inbuilt space - Good enough for the majority of it's users.Intel Atom - Z2580 - A 2GHz dual core HT supporting processor, very fast when compared to other MTK Quad core processors. Beats most devices in single core tasks that should be the majority of tasks that you encounter.2GB RAM - Max amount of RAM present in any Android device upto 28K.5MP Primary Camera - supports AF thus can be used for taking snaps of notes and documents. Decent snaps when taken outdoors.2MP front camera - Pretty good for video chats.4100mah battery - A very good quality battery(Sanyo) that gives ~ 3-4 days of life with an hr or two of daily usage. Can easily watch 3-5 movies on 1 charge. A VERY GOOD QUALITY 10W charger supplied with it.a microSD card slot - for those who need more than 16GB !!Delivery was fast and the packing was awesome.

Great Tablet at a great price.Was looking for a tab after breakdown of my ASUS transformer prime 201. Wanted a 10 inch tab actually but the price factor stopped me from doing so. The tab was intended to be used by my 2 yr old kid and me both hence thought of something in 8 inch screen as a compromise and have not regretted the decision.PROS:a) An excellent tablet, very good for games (have played ASPHALT 8 without any lag).b) 8 inch screen better than usual 7 inch tablets in market.c) Is not very awkward to hold and play games (10 inch Asus was difficult to hold and play)CONS:a) I feel that it takes more time for charging though once charged lasts for good time.b) only 11 GB memory available for use, so if u can spend an extra 2 Grand go for 32 GB version.Overall a value for money product at 9 Grand.Thanks Amazon for this

The display threw up quite a few white pixels that are extremely prominent and hence having to initate a return with Amazon - let's see how that goes !! Guess lesson learnt is I should probably wait for a week before writing the review !!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Got the product for a very competitive rate (compared to other sites/sellers) with cash-on-delivery option. The product was delivered within 48 hours even though I had chosen the free delivery option and had not opted for faster delivery. The only downside of the delivery was that the card machine was not working and hence I had to pay in cash :-(Product feedback - Primarily bought this product for use by my parents. As of the time of writing this review, I have used the product for about 24 hours and still need to explore the camera. The device takes some time to boot up (compared with the iPad2) but once booted is fairly responsive. The screen resolution is quite decent and looks sharp. The device is easy to hold and operate as well. Right after booting up and connecting to the Wifi, I was prompted for an upgrade to 4.3 which I did. The upgrade was fairly hassle free and happened quickly. The sound quality is pretty decent too. With the google microphone search enabled, searching and starting apps (e.g: "open skype" started the skype app that I had downloaded) is a breeze - the voice recognition is fairly good and I felt that this would definitely make the experience much more easier for elders who are not used to typing much.

No other device has 2GB RAM, 1280 x 800 pixels, Hyper-threading processor, 4100 battery, 8 inch IPS, Dell brand and quality. What is my experience so far with this device so far? After 1 week of usage I find this device worth every penny. Pro: OS - Vanila version of android 4.2.2 ships with device. Dell doesn't do any heavy UI customization. On first boot it updates to kitkat 4.4.2 over-the-air (OTA) Build - Solid, no plastic feel, back panel is matt and non-slippery. No branding on front side. CPU - Intel processor is Hyper Threading capable. A dual core Intel performs better than other cheap quad core MTK, snapdragon, etc. (no comparison with qualcomm they are far better than intel in mobile processors). RAM - 2GB RAM and almost 1.3 GB is free while playing heavy graphics games. You just can't beat that. Display - IPS - view angles are good. Resolution gives this device high PPI. I have personally used Lenovo Yoga 8 inch but that device doesn't match resolution of Dell. You could see pixelization in Yoga but not in Dell. Battery - A typical good battery for tablet without 3g feature. 3g is main culprit for battery shortage on your device Internal Storage: 32 GB out of which 26 GB is for user. Out of which I got 23 GB available even after installing all my apps and games. That's massive. Benchmark: Antutu Benchmark for this device(12,700/-) is ~22,000. It has issues, from the day one, issues like touch insensitivity, long charging time and so on. However, after a year and a months use I do not regret buying it. Here is why- I purchased it at a much lower price than the MRP and also got a 3G-wifi dongle free. 32 GB of external memory is more than sufficient. Soon you would realize a screen size of 1 extra inch makes a huge difference at least for reading pdfs in a potrait mode. The tablet has awesome specifications on paper. But it also does mamoth tasks for me from running powerful games to running Fortran programs (CCTools) to handle drawings in Autocad 360. So the tablet is awesome in hands too. The touch issue gradually reduced probably through 3 software updates from 4.2 to 4.4.2. Also pressing the power button off and on is a sureshot cure for the issue. It has an intel processor and many applications are not compatibles, (say MS office). But developers are working on making their apps compatible with intel processors. For instance after checking from the MS team, I inststalled the preview version of MS office for android, whuch is compatible with intel processors. Now it works great. I do not need to talk about the basic android/google features. They are great. More so if combined the ith a device like this.

Screen stops responding to touch , u need to lock and unlock screen to get it working again. 2.Wifi wont connect if u went out of coverage area and come back in coverage , restart Tab to get it connected to same Hotspot u have been using. 3.3G connectivity is not consistent keeps on dropping and slow. i use same service provider for my S4 mini and dont face a problem. 4. tough i am not a gamer but some games i played on device were slow , to me it looks more of a optimization problem with atom. only good thing for me is screen size that was what i bought it for , display is crisp love to read my ebooks on it.
