Look & Build up quailty of product are fine but it has got the Horrible Display quality. Specification sheet says 1024*600 resolution with 170 PPI. But in actual it is lesser. Further, Everything is Blurred on screen. The Clear Crisp Quality Screen / Clarity / sharpness which we usually expect is not at all available. Dont buy these product.

Six months Genuine Pain Story. The most worst camera I found in it. Battery is always about to die. Screen is non responsive. Software update will always fail. Very slow speed. Always tends to hang. Sometimes heating abnormally. Audio 3.5mm jack will not support all headphone or woofer. Inbuilt speakers are good. I am totally got fool by going through the Specifications. After buying it I understood that it is totally a showoff nothing like it. Fool Fool Fool I am. Waste of money.

I was looking for a tablet for my home usage. More like a common tablet for everyone at home and for guests. This tablet comes with Android 4.3 out of the box. If not then you can always update the OS from system update which is the first thing I recommend that you do. With Android 4.3 you will get the ability to have multiple users on a tablet which is helpful when using in a shared manner like I use it. Update: Dell Venue 7 in India has received Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. Initially I was sceptical due to this having an Intel Atom CPU instead of conventional ARM CPUs found in tablets and mobile phones. I thought it might create compatibility problems but that is not the case. I have not tried games so I can't talk about them but everything else I have tried on it works just fine. Even though this tablet costs as much as a Nexus 7 2012, it comes with a bigger battery, and MicroSD card support which was something I was looking for. The only flaw compared to a Nexus 7 is screen quality. Despite of having the same resolution and sharpness, the brightness of Dell Venue 7 is less by 10%. It is nothing to worry about though as you can always increase the brightness when watching a movie or anything else. Low brightness may also be the reason why I get better battery life. This tablet isn't any slow compared to any other tablet in its price range including Nexus 7 2012 model. We need to accept the fact that Android is slow everywhere even on a Nexus 5. Lag is a part of life in Android's ecosystem. Accept it and move on. I live in Gurgaon where power cuts are common so I am using a 32 GB Class 4 MicroSD card with this tablet. This makes it a very good downloading device. I now do all my torrent and regular downloading in this tablet and leave it to download when I go to office. Even if there is a power cut, my UPS keeps my router on and feeds electricity to this tablet and the downloading continues. Rapid sequential writes can reduce the life of internal SSD such as downloading torrents but for a SD card it is fine. Even if a 32 GB SD Card costing Rs 750 lasts a year, it is still a lot in terms of money I can save on electricity bill by not using my desktop PC for downloading. The internal speaker is just loud enough for a single person's use. I recommend using a set of small speakers if you are looking to use this tablet as a music device. The colors are not over saturated like other devices from Samsung. They are in fact muted so you might find the colors to be somewhat washed out. If you do then just adjust brightness and contrast as per your liking. This tablet is not heavy and balances easily in your hands due to the rubbery back. It doesn't slip. The OS on this tablet is near default Android without any bloat as usually given by other manufacturers. I highly recommend Dell Venue 7 to anyone looking to buy a tablet under Rs 10,000. This is better than Nexus 7 2012 due to MicroSD support. Nexus 7 2013 model is obviously better but it also costs a lot more.

i bought dell venue 7 3g from dell store for 13999/- today, and my initial response was WOW.. its very smooth to operate, no lagging, brilliant diaplay, don't go by some reviewers saying that its display is less illuminated. i have this tab, and its very much bright. Before this tab i purchased HP slate 7 voicetab from flipkart but had to return the same due to charging issue, but i would now definitely say that hp voicetab is crappy in front of this tab. while scrolling on that i can see the lag. but this tab is smooth, and blazing fast. Pros 1) very fast 1.6ghz dual core processor.---its definitely faster than 1.2 ghz quadcore of other tabs. 2) brilliant display 3)premium feel...rubberised back panel and design is awesome.Much much better than hp slate 7 voice tab (looks cheap) 4) 2GB ram----you will never run out of it. cons 1) cameras--- doesn't matter much as i am not planning to click a lot of pics with the tab. 2) no voice call support-- i had hp voice tab for 2 weeks and i seldom made calls. that feature is not for me... its very uncomfortable to make calls for average time holding it near your ears. you could consider it if one is planning to use bluetooth or earphone. don't go by the reviews comparing this tab with the costly ones for the features...as they are not doing justice to this tab. Go have look at your nearest dell store then decide for yourself

I was not looking for a calling tab though my final options were Asus fonepad 7, Dell venue 7 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. Multi brand store helped me in getting the form factor and the feel and finally it was between Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 and Dell venue 7. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 looks brilliant with an MRP of 17,300 at Spice store and I was almost set to buy it and than the story changed. One local vendor had the device on display and I installed Subway surfer and Antutu benchmark App. Subway Surfer hanged for a couple of second during the first game but not after that. Antutu Benchmark score was approx 13269 with every factor(RAM, CPU, 2D/3D games) listed as general. Under settings the RAM usage was approx 500MB and approx 350MB free. Checked the Antutu Benchmark score and RAM Available(free and for user usage) online and found score of 19248 approx and 1.3 GB user available RAM. That's how I purchased Dell Venue 7. It's a fab tab, bought at Rs 9825 from WS Retail(Flipkart). Antutu Benchmark Score came out to be 17689(RAM & 2D/3D game support to be Excellent) and 1.3 GB user available RAM, after installation of Apps like Subway surfer, Whats App(can't be downloaded, though it can be installed), Frontline Commando, Solitaire, Freecell and couple of more apps. No Lags, Works very smoothly, battery life is good. yet to use the 3g. I read reviews, wherein the users reported that brightness is low.. Well if you compare it with Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, yes it's low.. but really sufficient.. You won't get to feel it if you have not read any such review. The back of the tab doesn't look plastic and the finish is really good. It's worth every penny and I am really happy so far. Bought Brain freezer flip cover for Rs 285 from flipkart. Though you can get it from local market too.. If you are looking for a gift option for your parents or kids.. This Tab is super and I would suggest to invest in this tab than to go with Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.

I bought this tab from flipkart. After two days of usage i felt nothing wrong in my decision. A product from Dell is tested in terms of serious crash tests as well as performance tests.So manufacturing defects is very little when compared to other manufacturers. According to my personnel experience, dell's warranty policies are great because if a product gets faulty under warranty period, dell usually replaces the damaged part with a new one while other manufactures try to fix it . Nothing to worry about warranty when you buy this tab from flipkart because i verified my warranty status by checking the site dell/support.in. I prefer this tab for friends who are having a smartphone with WiFi hot spot because this tab doesn't have a sim card slot. Coming back to the quality of the product i think this is the best tab having a nice look and feel. Rubberized back area which prevent fingerprint dusts and dell logo gives a brand feel.Considering the look, nexus 7 is far behind.but performance wise nexus 7 2012 is better.I suggest my friends to buy a matte finish screen protector because front side is too glossy so it will leave fingerprint dusts. I already told that i spend only little time with this tab. I installed real football 2012 ,front line commando 2 and some simple games such as subway surfers ,hay day,sniper shoot etc and i found no lag while playing these games. I don't like to take pictures using my tab, for that purpose i have other alternatives. So if you need to take better pictures i suggest you not to go with this particular tab. 16 gig internal storage is good and 2 gig of ram is a peculiar feature for this tab. It has expandable storage facility too.. Some friends say that Intel processors are designed for large devices so mobile arm processors are better. I too stick on to that but in future if we are provided with windows firmware update then Intel processors are better. I didn't find any issues with battery back up also. I found some criticizers telling about the display quality. 7 inch capacitive Touchscreen with 1280 x 800 pixels is not too bad and in real world usage i felt a pretty good experience while reading pdf and docs.Letters are crisp and clear. It is a tough job to find accessories for this particular tab because now only dell venue tablets are attaining movements in India.Hope we will get accessories from online local accessory sellers without much delay. Then overall experience is very good with this tab. FLIPKART's delivery is fast and packaging is excellent. Tipz -This tab support OTG. Before connecting the OTG cable i just updated the os to the latest version.I donno weather the prev version support or not.If anyone facing problem in OTG connectivity my suggestion is to update the os to latest version ie 4.3

I thought the tab from DELL would be a nice. This product has display problem (clearly visible only in straight angle) , it has heating problem, Show white display, dose not unlock faster, sometimes dose not unlock even after 20min software/hardware hangs, looks like mismatch between hardware and software (finally this TAB is a piece of junk) I don’t understand why DELL is not fixing this problems being superiors in computer and in IT industry. This is waste of time and money. Pathetic product please does not buy this product. (DELL Should Stop Selling Venus 7 3741 Tabs Until this issues are fixed)

Good not the bestFirst I was bit scary to buy this product because of the reviews. The above mentioned review are 100% true but we have solutions for some.1. The display The display is not so bad as mentioned in older review it is sharp enough for this budget2. The battry The battery is not so good, takes lot of time to charge and drains fast and bit heating while charging3. The white screen appears Some times while we press the power button the white screen apears don't know why but if we press the power button that will vanish4. Speaker Speaker is good and clear but not loud5. Not a good product. Display is very poor and battery draining very fast. And I hope battery draining and other drawbacks may be overcome with Marshellow or lollipop updations & Has problems with the touch screen and upgrade failed multiple times. Finally returned the product. This tab should be discontinued by Dell and launch better one. but delivery TO Good
