Purchased this for a basic system with basic usage. Nothing great about it but nothing too bad either, and that makes it excellent for the price. Resolution, brightness, colour accuracy, viewing angles are not as good as the Full HD panel in my 2010 Dell Studio 1558 laptop but far better than that of other normal laptops even from this 2014. The matte finish is useful. In points: Plus: +Very good build quality, looks and feels like it will last a long time. Even if it does not, in my experience Dell warranty servicing is excellent +Aesthetics are good in my opinion, not flashy or glossy because of the understated matte bezel and anti-glare coating on the screen. The power button has a white LED in it (This LED can be turned off from the menu). The other buttons are not labelled, instead the functions are displayed on screen when one of them is pressed. I actually prefer the cleaner bezel that this affords. +Colours accurate enough for basic use, becomes even better with a little adjustment (menu provides individual R, G, B adjustment and a few basic "profiles" like Standard, Multimedia, Text, Warm, Cool, and a custom option) +Anti-glare (matte) finish works well enough (albeit at the expense of some brightness) Neutral: =TN (Twisted Nematic) but at this price it is acceptable =Not particularly bright (rated at 200 nits) but I am used to a very bright display to begin with (300 nits) =Resolution of 1366x768 is not too high but not everybody needs any higher right now (versus the cost) Minus: -No digital inputs (HDMI, DVI-D), only an analog VGA port -Poor horizontal viewing angles Excellent choice if you are on a tight budget and need a monitor that will just work without problems, but if you can spend a bit more then go for a higher resolution model like the E2014H (1600x900 but still a TN panel) or the S2240L (1920x1080 and IPS). The review guidelines say not to mention price but nothing wrong with mentioning the MRP printed on the box I'm sure: Rs 6800.

It is quite a buy given the price tag. I got it for Rs. 5296 a couple of days ago. Its an excellent product. The only thing that could be better is only if the resolution was a bit higher but for all other practical and gaming purposes, it is a great product. And wonderful delivery service by flipkart, as always.

ever since i purchased it from here .i am spending my time in replacing and replacing through dell service in bangalore,where they have a lot of ignorant but well behaved guys to answer the phones.but when replacement came it is always a defective LCD Monitor again and again.i have replaced it 5times and still receiving a swift defective LCD Monitor in replacement.My request is to not go for this LCD Monitor .total waste of your money

Everything is superb except viewing angles from some positions, which is a little inconvenient for me when I watch lying on my bed and some other angles. An excellent monitor for any price:quality conscious person. Verdict: If your budget is more than 8.5k go for Dell S2240L 21.5 inch LED Backlit LCD Monitor. Just copy-paste it in Flipkart search, else people with budget within 5.6k, this is the must buy. (Or you can even go for 19.5" variant of this but my table is small and this is the perfect fit for my table. Also price is lesser than 19.5" obviously! Hence this.) About Flipkart, let me use a meme - "Keep calm and believe in flipkart." Let me mention another thing too. The delivery guy who brought this was in such a hurry that he did not notify me before coming (which could have been a problem had I not been home), did not come upstairs and I had to collect my product from downstairs. I complained it to flipkart and they assured me that such things won't happen again. Let's see if flipkart can stay true to the promises they make. Flipkart should remember the great words of Peter Parker's uncle , "With great power comes great responsibility." And lots of expectations too!!!!!! :D Hope Flipkart sees this.
