Pretty good, with issues
By Arvindon
I have been a long term user of Creative products and to be fair this product pretty much retains my brand loyalty.Bass is rich and adequate, volume levels go up to pretty high without any distortion, volume controller is precise but as with any good product there are a few niggles here and there.THE REAR SPEAKER CABLES ARE BARELY 4m long so I have cables running through my carpet. The volume controller does not have a base controller and it is provided way back behind the sub.You might need a 5.1 soundcard but luckily my motherboard has one inbuilt.Inability to remove speaker base stand. But even though the list of cons is high this is still a pretty valuable product for 4k and I still root for Creative products.
Brilliant

One of the most excellent sound producing Products available in the market. The sound quality is awesome, bass is super bass.....and chic looking speakers with gloss on borders plus conical bass... For that extra around effect
Awesome sound clarity. Worth for money.

Good Sound...
Bass

ppl say that the speakers dont sound good, bad bass and some are totally enjoying the great sounds ! its not the fault of the hardware ! creative speaker are too good... it depends on where u place the woofer in your room.
i am a DJ i hva a little idea bout sound... if ur room is small u will get resonance and vibration which will reduce audio quality and if its too big u will lose the Bass Hit ... so move ur woofer around the room and test it and set it in a position where it offers decent audio quality///
jus keeping it ina corner thinks it will work best is no good. there are Sound Engineers... lol knowing where to keep the speakers is an Engineering Degree... and since u dont have it... u have to trial and error as to whic place in the room will give best vibes and resonance and Bass hit.. withous losing audio quality.

I had been using creative inspire 2600 for last 5 years, which having incredible sound! later I decided to change with 5.1 system. my first preference was creative because of my previous experience. After a lot of googling & inquiry I had purchased T6160 last month.
what to say.....
I have lost my 4000 & the speaker throw to waste bin.
it will be value for money, if it's price tag would be under 2000!!!
I dont understand, why some of our members had written about its "amazing sound & bass" !!!!!!!!!
I swear, it is the worst creative product.
Please experience it before buying

Great product

Considering the price this is a great product. It is way better than philips (dsp 2600) 5.1 setup in the same price bracket.
Under windows 7 + winamp/windows media player its performance was ok. The sound seems blanketed.
But
when I started using it under Ubuntu 12.04 64bit (with updated kernel) + Clementine media player + Asus Xonar DX + .flac the performance is significantly better. Now I am able to hear lots of minor sounds which was previously hidden.
Close windows set up is Asus Xonar DX + Foobar2000 player + .flac. You will notice the difference :-)
Excellent
