Got it for 3.5k. Awesome performance, good latency and complete VFM. I have msi gtx 970 gaming 4g graphics card which doesn't have a back plate, so installation of this ram in a micro atx motherboard (msi h97-g43) was a piece of cake, if the graphics card has a backplate then the big heat sinks might have a problem with installation.

I bought this RAM a few days ago. It hasn't been delivered yet, but I'm sure it'll be as usual- Quality product from flipkart delivered on time. Now, the main reason I'm writing this review is because I built my first PC and had to pass through a few hurdles. My rig is: i5 3470 processor- Rs. 11638 Intel DH77EB MoBo- Rs. 6837 Cosair 8gb RAM- Rs. 3192 Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6670- Rs. 5666 Cooler Master Elite 343 Cabinet- Rs. 2150 Cooler Master Thunder 450W PSU- Rs. 3000 LG DVD writer- Rs. 950 500gb Hitachi HDD- Rs. 3150 UPS cum Inverter- Rs. 3000 Total: 39500 apprx A few advices while building your own PC: 1) Get a mobo that has VGA, HDMI and DVI ports. Mine didn't have VGA port and I had to scramble between a few options before finally settling on the VGA port on the graphics card. 2) Choose intel over amd, always. I was first a fan of AMD, but then I saw a lot of tech websites and comparisons. My Quad core 3.2 Ghz i5 3470 is better than AMD's Octa core 4 Ghz FX 8350. 3) Among intel, i5 is almost same as i7 for normal gaming, with just a difference of 2 mb cache memory and different integrated GPU. (exception: i5 3570k has same GPU as i7) 4) Always check the compatibility of operating frequencies of the components (RAM, GPU, MoBo) 5) Research a lot on the internet about even the minutest doubt- they usually skyrocket into big ones if ignored.

I bought this RAM from Flipkart in the month of May-2013 at Rs 4185 and now price has increased in a short span.First of all Flipkart service is amazing.I got this RAM within 48 hours at my door step.And talking about this RAM i would say just go for it if you are a gamer like me.It also has a heat sink which keeps it cool.I am using it since 1 month and performance wise it is very good.I can play games on highest settings with just a single stick of 8gb provided i have a decent high end system too.

This is currently the best value in 8GB DDR3 DIMMs. Solid, stable and dependable. Physically, the heat sink is large and may foul with larger CPU coolers on some motherboards. You can match this RAM to either Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge CPUs. The JEDEC defaults are usually selected by the motherboard automatically. Caution : Don't buy this RAM with older chipsets like the Intel H61 as that does not support double sided memory.

I am writing this after 7 months of purchase (never got around to writing a review until now) and yes the Corsair ddr3 Vengeance 8gb RAM is truly worth your investment. The embedded heat sink does a fantastic job and there is no hitch even when your system is working for 12-15 hours at a stretch. Of course the optimal use of this ram is best complimented with an equally powerful processor ( quad core at-least in case of AMD and i5 for Intel) Also, purchasing one stick of 8 makes sense for future upgrade as you are left with vacant slots for more muscle power.
