Be careful this is 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560. All the global reviews are base on 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2580 chipset
By Flipkart Customeron
I am not sure why flipkart is selling a product this product with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560. I was about to place order but just pulled back
Very bad experience
By Manal Sabrion
Cell phone stopped stopped recognizing SIMs in just 6-7 days and getting restarted every 5 mins. Get it checked at ASUS authorized service center. They replaced the main board but now touchpad had lost sensitivity at certain places.
May be a bad piece in the lot but a major disappointment.
Decent Product killed by a Customer fooling Company
By Gopal Maheshwarion
UPDATE: Asus is the worst company when it comes to support. Even samsung/MI/ Micromax are way better than Asus. Asus didn't even bothered for Lollipop OTA update for first series of Zenfone launched just a year ago and no announcement of Marshmallow update. Even the manual update is badly buggy and stuck at 5.0.0.
It Appears that first Zenfone series was just trial series of Asus who made fool out of Indian Consumers. Curse you Asus, i am never gonna buy any ASUS product ever and will ensure no one in my circle ever buys the products of a Customer fooling company like you.
Forget my last review. It was a HUGE MISTAKE. I apologise who bought on my recommendation
First, Phones are all about user experience
So, If you are looking for a great piece of tightly integrated hardware loaded with bloatfree smooth running software, then zenfone 6 is for you. Please note that Asus is one of the best manufacturers and pioneer in Motherboards which life of computing device.
Pros:
Good Screen with clear visibility (Ignore that ppi complain. Density is 320 dpi)
Snappy & lag free experience with GREAT AnTuTu benchmark of 22127 above Note 2 (It Has Z2580 2.0 Ghz dual core with 4 CPU's. Flipkart has mentioned it Wrongly as Z2560 1.6 Ghz. Practically Octa/Hexa Cores are of no use to 95% of users as all phones come with x32 Architecture. Rather go for iphone 5S with x64 architecture processing for next level of experience).
Battery: Recharge it FULL 100% and then drain it FULL 0%. Repeat this cycle for 2-3 times to unleash its real power. Good Capacity.
Connectivity: Great. Disable smart saver mode when you have wifi disconnects (It happens when your battery is low)
In Short GO FOR IT. its a great productivity + Entertainment Device (Choose Gold/ Red)
Not bad

I got my phone a few hours back. I've been playing around with it since then. Overall it's a pretty good phone. I've liked it so far. It's a really nice phone, it looks rather nice too. However, I've noticed (as others have mentioned) it tends to get heated around the camera area, and I wasn't even doing any heavy usage, just updated my apps. Second, it has really low sounds, ringtone can barely be heard in a busy environment. Apart from those two thins, i don't have any complaints yet. I'll edit this review and update it, if anything comes up.
All in all, after playing with it for about 2 hours,I've got to say that it's a good phone with a few kinks. I wouldn't say it's a must buy but at the same time, it's not going to be the worst buy either.
Edit: so, I've had this for a couple of hours now and I have to say that, the battery life is rather lackluster considering the size and the expected talk time from the phone. I gave it a full charge and used it for a bit. I had my WiFi on, played a game for about 20 mins or maybe even lesser. Surfed the internet abit, tried out the camera and did all the other usual stuff, nothing too heavy. All this was with the battery saver option on. Within a few hours I'm down to 20%. Maybe I was expecting too much but the battery has really let me down. I had previously given this phone 4 stars but I've changed that to 3 now.
Final thoughts, the phone is still ok though, given the features abd all. But don't expect much from the battery.
Great Phone great performance
By Tirtha Dason
This is a review after 1 week usage:
Good Battery life, it almost runs for 24 hours with heavy usage.
Good performance, it is almost lag free unlike any mid range Samsung phones.
Camera features are great and intuitive. You can play a lot with it.
Specially I like the UI.
One handed mode - saves a great effort while another hand is blocked
Notification and quick setting are bifurcated.
Customizable quick setting.
Searchable mean and widget separately- saves a huge time.
Frequently used apps tabbed separately - no need to search the menu every time.
Upcoming events -- very intuitive .
Clearing the ram does not require any third party app, right available in the quick settings.
Even in the lock screen couple of generally used application available-- flashlight, calculator, quick note and boost, these are fixed and not-changeable.
All other features are as normal as other android phones.
Some of the things I did not like about this phone:
No 3G video call feature, although it has a front camera and most probably modem supports it.
No zoom out feature while viewing long and wide text, this causes to scroll horizontally multiple times while reading the text.
No stylus or stylus holder although third party stylus works perfectly fine.
No option for selecting only 3G for a SIM, although modem should support it. This causes to toggle in 2G/3G in bad signal condition, which would eventually drain much more battery.
As every review has said, loudspeaker is not very loud. You might face some difficulties when using load speaker in crowded places.
Bugs:
Tapping a message does not show up the message menu always. It is inconsistent.
When using dual SIM,
Sometimes SIM1 goes out of service: To fix this airplane mode needs to be turned on and off.
When having dual SIM and SIM2 deactivated, but SIM1 is in no network zone, suddenly there are some GUI activities which are asking for dual SIM configuration. It has happened one time.
Couple of times phone has restarted automatically. Not a major one.
I would say, in this price, there are very less phone which will give you good performance under heavy usage. All phones will have little bit of bugs here and there, those can be sent back to OEM for fixing. But given the price point it is really good. You will love it.

After reading reviews I ordered this phone, Asus has kept its promise in delivering the good quality product.
Touch is great, screen size is amazing, works fast with no lag.
Only disadvantage I found is Android updates.

GET WHAT U PAY FOR!!
By Suryanshuon
i have been using this from last two weeks and will try to answer all genuine doubts..with a review with personal experience and my all know-how..
HARDWARE-
feels premium, certainly a step above my note 2,back panel is a bit tricky to remove,u need to be careful handling the back panel as it may damage your lower bezel which is quite delicately attached, also quality control issues have been seen with a lot of zenfone models which is quite common with a new product in market..check your device by opening stock calculator app and typing ".12345+= " without the quotation marks..
It has a small led notification whose settings cant be changed,no backlit buttons(doesn't matter as you will adjust within hours to it),volume rocker and power button placed on the right side(most delicate and hard to press),removing the back panel houses a 3300mAh battery, two sim card slots and a memory card slot..the gorilla glass screen is quite delicately placed which can be felt by displacement of the display fluid by little application of pressure,,it is horrifyingly more prominent around the edges,,people need to be careful regarding this as a vertical drop may prove fatal for the display unit,,a cover which covers the volume rocker and the power key should be preferred for convenience and longevity..the loud speakers are really low especially during the calls, while the internal speaker isnt too shabby though not loud in general, call reception and sim management is quite good,,the headsets provided are in a different league and are one of the best and loud enough, also not that bulky considering the form factor,,finally using a 6" device will not bother much as we are habituated now a days with tablets
DISPLAY -
a IPS LCD 720p screen with 320dpi,not in league with amoled or full hd displays of present generation, but suffices for a 17k phone,,pixellation will be prominent in home screen but doesnt surface much while browsing or gaming instances.
CAMERA-
in terms of pure shooting it has failed in terms of the depth,,but certain features of the pixelmaster camera has impressed a lot and has made capturing images fun, rest assured the photos captured wont be competing with a Samsung or a LG 13Mp camera but wont lag far.,the best camera for a under 20k phone
CPU & GPU-
CPU is a INTEL Atom 2.0Ghz Z2580 processor, yes 2.0Ghz which handles normal activities quite well..optimaation has been done properly..so even without much raw power it gets things done efficiently,,transistions are smooth and browsing or video playback causes no issues..random heating is often seen but the recent update of 1.17 firmware has stabilised it a bit,,expect heat around 36 deg.C while gaming which isnt quite a big issue
GPU powervr sgx544 is one of the best and provides one of the best frame rates in this price segment with the 2GB RAM complementing real well.
BATTERY-
provides me an a single use of around 20hrs with 45 mins of gaming(heavy games like modern combat 5,shadow fight 2),,2hrs of calls,,wifi and 2g movile data as well as auto sync ON,though GPS Off...which is quite good considering my activities..tentative usage will give a battery backup of minimum 1.5 days
SOFTWARE-
Asus custom zen interface is definitely one of the best in terms of simplicity, elegance and innovativation i have seen..it has given most of the necessay apps such as flashlight, ram boost, app to SD card,PC link in-built,,so no need of scourging the play store for all of these,,there is a problem in WIFI signal strength compared to other phones,,it always receives less signal strength..people may complain about the space occupied by the pre installed apps which seem more than required but having 16gigs internal and expansion of 32gb as well as 2 gigs RAM wouldnt raise much questions
**NOTE- Gave me a Antutu score of 22.9k but i have been really impressed with ASUS response to its device,,it has already given 2 OTA updates which have smoothened a lot of rough edges of the phone..
the main one being SUPPORT OF OTG,,Yes now all the Zenfone support OTG after the last update thus resolving its one of the biggest demerits..
Also expect quick Kitkat update which will show this phone's true colurs(offcourse postive ones)
OVERALL-
may lack in terms of pure power compared to xiaomi and oneplusone
but definitely a more all rounded phone which covers all the bases required(after sales service,Brand value, memory card slot, frequency ranges) in a smartphone..and being around 17k was my clear choice of preference..you never know what xiaomi mi4 or oneplusone will be priced and the rumours of only 16gb variant shipped to India may leave bitter taste.
I will rate this 4.5 stars as this price will fetch you this only
the best phone i ever used
By Kasim kolakkadanon
the best phone i ever used. great for the price, brisk very good screen. i was wanting a big screen as i almost stopped using my lap and do all daily work of banking , whatsapp, shopping on phone now. charge good for a day. of course it is big , still fit to the pocket
Greatness awaits for you
By FIROZ ALIon
My first asus experience & it really amazed me, using since September 2014,not a single issue found, battery is good enough practically last a day with quite heavy use (3 hours of gaming, almost 5 hours of wifi, 1 hours of talking, 2 hours of chatting etc) & uuuh yeah forgot about the standby. Already purchased a Zenfone 5 for sister, Zenfone 2 for meee.
ASUS has done a brilliant job with this one
By G Kashyapon
ASUS has done a brilliant job with this one. Even the phone has a 6' screen but it is very easy to operate and doesn't look so big in your hands. I have been using this for more than month now and it works super smooth. No lags at all. The camera is pretty decent. For the price range of this phone, I can't think of any other phone which is this good.
The worst decision to buy zenfone 6
By Asutosh K Mishraon
The worst decision to buy zenfone 6. I bought it in Jan end 2015 and have been suffering with this phone. hell lot of issues with battery and camera. the battery got swollen and had to get it replaced in two months. the camera too wasnt working and i was told the lense has scratch and had to pay rs 581 for it. and now its showing camera not found. horrible phone..i have running to service centre now and then coz if it. would never suggest this phone to anyone
The phone though packed with features, becomes frighteningly hot ...
By Vivek BGon
The phone though packed with features, becomes frighteningly hot. Ex: 2-3 minutes into using the camera, the whole area around the camera becomes hot... half way into a half hour video, the whole phone heats up... hot enough to stop me from using it...The battery life is not satisfactory as well.
