This review is after almost 10 months of usage. It's blazing fast, super slim, extremely long lasting, and comes with an amazing OS. But, just know that you are not going to be playing GTA V or Witcher 3 in this system. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't have a PC that runs games on GTX750Ti. I would have looked at a chunky little Windows Laptop, that played my precious games. This is a perfect combination of a workhorse and a media device. The screen, although not retina, is beautiful and better than most other systems at the price range. The keyboard is tactile and the trackpad... well, just know that they really really paid loads of attention when designing this trackpad. The hardware is definitely the best in range. The screen kind of seems deeper wrt the bezels, and it may not be perfect. But that's just too small an issue when looking at a device this good. The HDD although limited, is extremely fast. Remember, its an SSD. I'd rather have had a fusion. Maybe 256 SSD plus 500GB HDD. But I'm sure that would have compromised the portability of this slender silver machine. The RAM is a bit on the lower side. 4 GB seems a bit too low. But I never faced any problem that overused to RAM. The speed is basically your SSD, and the multitasking, I never did much that occupied more than 4GB at once. Maybe this would be a slight problem for image,video editors and audio producers. Maybe programming a distributed system would also not work out too well. You might as well pick a macbook pro, or an american air version with 8 GB modded into it. I create small ios apps and android app. I do a bit of web development, and this is the perfect machine at a budget for such kind of development. When I had got this device, windows was still trying really hard to get people to use the windows 8. It was really bad. And initially when I started using the mac, it felt a bit unfamiliar. Now though, I only open my PC to play loud music or game. The mac OS is smooth, fast, stable, and beautiful. The layout is so easy to learn. And it integrates very well with the hardware. CONS: (not really much though) A little issue here and there with compatibility. An android device wont connect in a plug and play fashion. Or the external mouse starts scrolling in the opposite directions. Many a times the USB input seems a bit too tight. We might have to push the pendrive a bit harder than normal to get it in. Again, these aren't issues that really need to be worried much about. Just small notes. Other laptops have real issues, as compared to the tiny issues this has. The OS isn't improving much when comparing to the windows. The windows 10 is beautiful, and its getting close to what the macintosh has to offer. We look forward to a big leap in the OS. On one side, windows is unifying the phone and desktop OS, and on the other hand, apple, is making them 2 separate really good operating systems. Not many use windows phones, but the surface pro 4 is really showing promises. Apple doesn't have that. This system is worth your money. I might even say that the macbook pro isn't worth your money. But this definitely is. Its nearly perfect, and runs smoothly. The integration of the best in class Hardware and the best in class software is something anyone would look forward to buying. It may not be the device that has it all like the PC (Gaming, high graphics, Plug and play of android devices, compatibility). But what ever it has, it really has it better than the PC. And on a final note. If you know what you are buying, then trust me, you are definitely looking at something way more than what you expected.

Apple Macbook Air is awesome. It gets my code compiled, even faster (in terms of time taken), than my brother's Macbook Pro with Quad Core i7 processor. The SSD really does help !! And the ease of use of the OS is impeccable.. Its a beautiful experience :) And once you start to use any Apple product, you'll never switch to another product. You can do all you do with windows, faster and easier. You just need to know how. Thats it. Guaranteed !!! :) Also, PS. I got 11.35 hours of battery life, just watching movies. Otherwise, upto 16 hours.. Believe that ! And its ultra light.. ;)

Getting an average of about 10 hours with very aggressive use. 2) Very Fast Boot Times 3) Extremely Silent 4) Very useful apps out of the box & Free, Free Office Suite (Keynote / Numbers / Pages 5) FREE (yep FREE) upgrade to OS Maverick - Unlike WINDOWS where its EXPENSIVE upgrade :-( 6) Stylish 7) Lightweight 8) Loads of features (user configurable), faster access using shortcut keys and trackpad 9) Few of my licensed applications had Mac versions - so could use the same key. Other apps had Mac equivalent. 10) Security vise lesser viruses / trojans exists for Mac OS (Mac OS is not fool proof though). It has an inbuilt firewall so no need to purchase a firewall. Cons: 1) New OS & interface - so takes some time to get used to. 2) Some of the hardware (USB to Ethernet eg)- difficult to get the compatible drivers. 3) No Ethernet Port, only two usb and one thunderbolt port. May make sense to use a docking station for heavy duty users. 4) Not essentially a Gaming Laptop more for Business executive ie Performance on the Go. Tips: 1) Can run windows software using Wine (free) or Crossover (which I purchased) or Virtual OS using VMWare Fusion 2) Dual Boot to windows OS possible using Boot Camp. A good Windows experience too. Buy the 256 GB version if you want a dual boot system. My Recommendation : An absolute Buy for a refreshing experience. Don't buy only if you are Afraid of Change.

Guys trust me you will not regret this one. it's lightweight, handy, stylish aluminium body, apple logo and most importanly super fast performance you could imagine in your laptop.Even as I write it here I can say you will just enjoy using OS Mavericks Drawbacks: 1. Yes the price of course is a bit hefty but as stated above it delivers more than the price. 2. Othordox windows users will find it a bit difficult to adjust to this new environment.Thus they will have to be generous enough to show some flexibility while using this product.

I didn't buy the laptop from Flipkart but I wanted to share my reviews on the popular shopping website for the potential buyers. I have been using Windows Based PCs and laptops for over 8 years and recently I switched to Apple Macbook Air 13 inch 2013 model. I am giving my views after feeling what I gained and lost after switching to Apple Operating system in general and to a Macbook Air in particular. Pros: 1. Best in the class build quality. This product screams selection of premium quality of build materials. 2.Best in class looks. That in fact, makes you care for the Macbook a bit more carefully. 3. Best Operating system i.e. - fluid, graphically pleasing, most secured (No need of security softwares) and more intelligently built with neat features to get your daily tasks done with utmost ease. 4. Best selection of apps/softwares - Though the variety of apps available for Mac isnt great but these days many softwares are coming which can make windows .exe programmes run in Mac very easily. 5. Best backlight keyboard - My typing was never so fast and easy. 6. Screen - For months I did comparison between Macbook air and Macbook Pro's Screen and never ever I noticed that the Macbook Air screen is not up to the mark. Its a very good 13.3 inches screen, no reflection, accurate colors. In stores where they compare non retina with a retina display, they always set the brightness highest on both the models. I agree that max. brightness of Macbook Pro exceeds Macbook Air's but in real life you wont need that high level of brightness. The amount of brightness required to see crystal clear details is available on both Air ad Pro models. This was the most nagging question for me so had to go in a bit of detail. 7. Magic Trackpad - So smooth and accurate with the gestures that using the trackpad mouse was never so easy and fun. 8. Battery Life - This does last for more than 10 hours on a moderate to heavy usage. I don't need to carry my charger anymore for weekend office trips. Cons 1. Screen Size - It in not a big issue if you are not into video editing, website designing, etc. For me it was not an issue as soon as I got used to the 13.3 inch screen. But I would love to see 15 inch Macbook Air in the future. Retina display is not a necessity. 2. Costly Accessories - Like the magic mouse, Apple superdrive, etc. 3. Lack of HDMI output - But this can be overcome to thunderbolt to HDMI convertor. 4. Only 2 USB 3.0 ports - But that can be overcome by buying a good USB hub. Overall, coming from a Windows PC to Apple Macbook Air was a very pleasant and easy transition and yes as they always said, once you start using Apple Macbook you would never want to go back to Windows. That is so true. Enjoy all the old and new Macbook owners and potential buyers don't hesitate just go for it. Its worth every penny.

About two plus years ago I had an opportunity to refresh my laptop with a Mac. Even though my company categorically reaffirmed that there won't be any onsite support for Mac (in India), I went for it. It never crashed and hung for that matter. Ever since I became a fan of Mac. If you want a perfect comparison on using a Mac and a Windows based, it is like driving an ultra luxury car on US roads versus driving an ambassador car on an Indian road. Pros: Everything Cons: None - just nothing BTW, I too have had predefined notions that this is going to put me in a limbo state and practically reduces my productivity as there is a learning curve. However its not. It takes a day to get to used to it and fell in love at first sight.

I am one of those who wanted to be part of the 'Apple' ecosystem for a long time. Therefore, this time when I was changing my ageing laptop I thought of going for a MacBook. Well! for a regular PC/ Windows user the switch-over was bound by skepticism and apprehension. Finally, I made up my mind and gave order through Amazon.The product was delivered well before time. Kudos to Amazon team for yet another on time delivery, which has become their USP!My review on using the MacBook for well about a week is as under :-Battery - Lasts on an average for nearly 11 to 12 hours post full charge (of course this also depends on the kind of applications that are run). This is the uniqueness of the product which makes it well ahead of other competitors in the market.Portability - Amazed by the slimness and weight. Can be compared to a tablet rather than a laptop in terms of its portability.Build Quality - Elegant and sophisticated. Will definitely grab attention and envy of your neighbour!Display - I think the resolution of 1440 x 900 on a LED backlit is very good and eye pleasing. Of course those who can shell another 40 to 60,000 bucks can go for the Retina based MacBooks.Performance - Damn impressed. Very quick start up and shut down. All flash architecture makes the machine incredibly fast.The best parts:1) SSD : I mean the transfer speeds with the Apple SSDs are crazy!!! Write speed is 576MB/s and Read speed is 721MB/s(based on Blackmagic benchmark test), I don't think u can see that level of speed anywhere... because of this speed, the app launch is faster and the boot time is less than 10 seconds with latest Mavericks OS X2) super light weight: I mean 1.35kg is really light. One can lift the laptop with one finger, I could never do this before.3) Astounding battery: I use the laptop like really a lot and I got more battery backup than my smartphone!! 2.5 days (with one movie and document editing and browsing over wifi for 3hrs or so)!!! I mean it is hard to drain this Macbook air's battery :)4) Screen: The resolution of this 13inch MBA is 1440x900, which becomes ~130ppi... 130 ppi is really good enough... some people say it is not retina display and other such stuff, but with Retina display you won't get such good battery backup and this screen is clear enough for others to feel jealous of your laptop ;)What I didn't like:1) The first and foremost is RAM. It uses 4GB LPDDR3 RAM which can't be upgraded. well for my use, it is good enough but others it might be a little less.2) SSD can be upgraded to 512GB max, but as usual it is very expensive(last time i checked the Apple guy told me 28k more to upgrade to 512GB SSD. Again, I take my backup regularly so I don't need more than 256GB SSD.My verdict: This is one gorgeous looking laptop, which doesn't have any problemsOverall a worthy buy for the price!

Slim, light weight, Fast, excellent battery backup(12hrs +) with wifi internet and 2/3 app running, no heat generating due to processor or battery after 3 days at a streach use..!!
