Abraham Lincoln: From the Log Cabin to the White House is a graphic novel biography detailing the life of the sixteenth President of the United States of America. This graphic novel adapts the story by Lewis Helfand, featuring art by Manikandan.

Summary of the Book

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, in a one-room log cabin on the Sinking Spring Farm in Hardin County, Kentucky. He grew into a strong child, gaining a reputation for leadership and strength. He participated in the Black Hawk War and served as a captain. Eventually, he began practising law under other established lawyers, and he went on to serve four consecutive terms as a Whig representative from Sangamon County in the Illinois House of Representatives. With his voice in the fight for the abolition of slavery, he began to be noticed by the public. He spoke against the Kansas–Nebraska Act of 1854 which supported slavery, and he soon rose to the U.S. Senate in 1858. His vocal prowess and his charisma sealed his candidature for presidency as he ran for the White House in 1860. On November 6, 1860, history was written anew as he took the title of the 16th President of the United States of America. This graphic novel brings alive the story of a man who fought for freedom in a country which thought freedom was a right entitled only to those with fair skin.
