Dont recommend this product. On paper this product has excellent specs but in reality, this product lacks grunt and sustaining power. Within 5 to 10 minutes of using the cleaner, the cleaner shuts down due to over heating and then we have to let it cool and wait to use it again. I advise everyone to stay clear of this vacuum cleaner and go for something else, maybe a black and Decker..

I was spending so much time cleaning the vacuum cleaner itself that I gave up on it altogether. The puny motor fails to pick up the really fine dust that you would have no trouble sweeping up with an old fashioned broom and the ridiculously low storage capacity means that you have to empty it every twenty minutes. Emptying it isn’t easy either—the plastic container needs to be opened from both sides and then vigorously emptied into the bin. Then the front attachment needs to be cleaned separately. It’s time consuming and messy and makes you wonder if it is even worth the hassle. The various filters quickly got clogged with dust and they are basically impossible to clean. I washed it for fifteen minutes but it was still coated with dust all around its circumference. For every fifteen minutes of vacuuming you do, you have to spend half an hour cleaning the various bits and pieces of the machine itself. And if the low storage capacity doesn’t force you to stop, chances are the machine itself will. It overheats and stops working every ten – fifteen minutes and then you have to let it cool for the same amount of time. By the time you are done vacuuming two rooms with this, your maid will have swept and wiped the whole house. I’d thought a vacuum cleaner would make our life easier and allow us to be less reliant on the maid. However, this is not the product for that. I regret that I bought it and would strongly advise everyone reading this to stay away from it. Go for a better, more expensive solution and save yourself a lot of hassle.

01) Working of machine is good, but some times the single lock provided between Upper stick part with handle & Lower Stick Part is insufficient to hold full load during operating the vacuum cleaner due this the lock lock slips out while working. 02) The User manual received with me is stating the Shoulder Strap + Claps is common for FC6130 & FC6132.But the box did not received the shoulder strap.

I was looking for a simple compact upright vacuum cleaner mainly for cleaning carpets and a search on the Indian online shops came up with only this Philips model which meets all my requirements. Flipkart delivered the item ordered within a few days and I have been using this for the past few weeks. Overall, I am happy with the product. It is easy to assemble, easy to use and needs very little floor space for storing. So far the unit has not tripped due to overheating as reported by some other users. It is very easy to clean the dust chamber. The plastic parts look a little delicate, and one has to handle the unit with care. Also one should be careful not to let the upright lose balance and fall to the floor! The crevice tool is a short plastic attachment and cannot reach easily into crevices. I wish there was a length of hose with the plastic tip to reach difficult corners. The option to use it as a handheld device is very useful for cleaning keyboards etc. Philips FC6132 is ideal for carpet and floor cleaning, especially in apartments. Updated after long term use (on 9 October 2015) Some other customers had reported about overheating and tripping after a few minutes of use. Well, we also started experiencing the same! Looking through the manual and studying the equipment, I found that there is a cup-shaped fine dust collector which also needs to be cleaned after emptying the main container. After clearing the fine filter, there were no more tripping issues!! It is still going good with regular cleaning of filters. It still has the vertical balance problem and falls flat on the floor once in while. But, no major issues so far!!

I would give 5 star if stick would have been little stronger. Don't buy it if you are planning to use it to clean the rooftop or upper parts of wall. Since stick isn't much stronger I couldn't dare to use it for that purpose. First time I got the defective piece..thanks to Amazon for easy return. Amazon's return policies are really good. Regular cleaning of dust bowl keeps it healthy and can be used for more time!!
