I bought SONY 108cm (43) Ultra HD (4K) Smart LED TV, on NOVMBER-2015, Flipkart has delivered it quickly & safely and arranged installation. This SONY TV looks good but it is not working properly from the beginning, lot of issues, with-in two moths it got repaired four times by SONY technician, picture quality is reasonable but sound, camera quality are below average. The major disadvantages of this TV is heating problem, damn slow while browsing and very slow to respond when connected to external disk/pen drive, to detect 1TB hard disk it takes almost 8 to 10 minutes, lastly SONY service is too bad. This 4K TV is not supporting out side network, so it is equivalent to ordinary(pre HD) TV. SONY 4K TV is cost is very high (Rs 84,000) compare to other TVs. Also SONY service center in Hyderabad mostly sends technicians with very less expertise, where they don't know much about 4K. All prospective buyers, think seriously before buying this SONY 4k TV.

Hi allI bought this TV from a retailer and got a very awesome deal. Sony Customer care called me for scheduling installation and the guy came smartly dressed and explained all the features so well that even the non-tech person can operate without having to ask again. I played some native 4K videos and man, what quality it was. SURREAL!!!Pros :-1. 4K resolution. It just looks awesome, period.2. Triluminious display. Yes this one has this tech makes color looks natural.3. Official Android TV out of the Box. Very easy to operate and if you have used android OS on phones, then you'll feel at home.4. Google cast works like charm casting from cell phones, computers is just awesome. Gone are the days when you have copy movies from computer to HDD or pendrive and hook it up to TV. Now just you have to wirelessly cast to the TV, its that simple.5. Youtube app in-built for direct video streaming from internet. And yes it can play 4K resolution videos directly from the app, no conversion or other s***.6. TV has bluetooth built-in. You can connect your phone, joystick, bluetooth keyboard and mouse.7. Built-in Wifi.8. TOUCHPAD remote. You get another remote which has a touchpad for unique access. It has Mic built-in which is integrated to Google serach. Just press the button and ask whatever you want search for (i normally ask about the weather and it responds well).9. If you are a PC gamer, then this thing can be your large monitor working at 4K resolution at 60FPS thorough HDMI 2.2. I have played FIFA 15 at 4K resolution and believe me it looks surreal. It feels like you are guiding real players in a stadium.10. It upscales video signals to 4K resolution.11. Power user who knows how to setup colors, brightness,contrast etc. can get cinema quality from this TV.12. Android TV Lolllipop out-of-the-box. Also, the TV updates Over-the-air. Mine has been updated 2 times within 2 months.13. 1080P TV camera within the sales box.Cons :-1. NO 3D, come on Sony at this price point, you should have given 3D capability as well.2. Up-scaling is done only when input signal is of 1080 resolution and only when signal is through HDMI and Internet Video. Anything lower will not be up-scaled.3. Google TV app store does not have much apps, if you are into it. Though VLC, MX player, Plex for Android are available.4. TV camera not much of use as skype is not yet supported.5. Sart-up time a little longer if you compare to non-smart TVs.6. Only internet 4K content available as of now, no TV channels available in 4K .Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchases considering the future proofing and a advanced panel.Edit (January, 2017) :-An firmware update few months back has added HDR capability as well. You can select it in picture menu, it is the last option. It just pumps up the TV's performance to max and disables the ambient light sensor giving a consistent picture quality which is outstanding, provided if you are watching a video which is shot in 4K HDR, it is just stunning, like when you go to a showroom and see the demo content playing.Cheers!!!!

This is the Smallest 4K TV from Sony and it comes with Android Software. Includes Triluminos Display. But, beware it doesn't come with 3D. Only 55 inch comes with 3D. Both 43 & 49 inch Models are without 3D feature. So, both these Models comes with 200 hz Refresh rate and the 55 inch Model comes with 800 hz.I've highlighted about the 3D feature, because some of the Online Sellers are misguiding the hapless buyers with wrong information.Apart from the regular features and Android software, the TV can upscale any content to 4K. But there is no confirmation from Sony as to how much in percentage terms, it can upscale. I guess, it should be around 30-50% upscale as per my view after observing physically.Right now, 4K content is very limited. DTH Companies are giving only 1 Channel with mixed content. If you wish to see 4K, the best way is to download the content from the Net.Comes with One Flick Remote, but you can also have the same features on your Mobile Phone. Also included is IR Blaster. Notifications is the best thing Android has given to Sony. You can see the Notifications on the top corner of your TV. You can't see the message, but you can know who has sent the message. It includes messages from WhatsApp. You can also see who's calling as the Name or No. will be displayed on the TV.It comes with 4 HDMI & 3 USB ports.Update after 1 month:- There are 3 issues which the Competitors are complaining about this Model.1. Android Software hangs - Well this can be sorted out If you're smart enough. And we don't update the TV, every day. Maybe couple of times in a Year ( When New Updates arrive).2. Takes lot of time to boot - When you switch on the TV for the first time after switching off the Power, it takes little more time than other TV's. My answer would be Yes - it takes, but anyone using Sony TV's must've observed that this is normal in all the Sony TV's. The boot up time is more even in CRT TV's. Nothing to complain about.3. Overheating - This is an issue even Sony is refusing to accept. The TV gets Warm on the Frame - Reason given by Sony Personnel is that the Frame is of Metal, so it's natural. But there is overheating at the Bottom, where Speakers are located. Called up to Sony couple of times, but not satisfied with the answer. The answers are common, but I wanted a Technical one. They simply say that the Showrooms run the TV's continuously for more than 12 hours. But nowadays even Home TV's run more hours than Showrooms. And many households don't even have Air conditioning, unlike the Showrooms.My assumption is that the Processor's heat is dissipated through the vents of the Speakers.

I liked the pricing and performance of this Sony TV . It was top notch . I'm loving 4k with this and it was a reasonable price then my nearest dealer asking for 89 k. Just a little but of difficulty in typing anything . Don't expect any kind of gaming boost with this tv but cuz of its latency. Not meant for gaming. just enjoying some 4k movies and 1080 p stuffs .
