One word - Awesome TV. Both Video and Audio are excellent. Bought in in the Big Billion Day sale and got a superb deal. Viewing Angles are excellent - see the same picture from all corners of the room. The audio is 35W and has excellent depth - listening to YouTube is an absolute pleasure. The UI is pretty responsive and TV boots up super fast. There may be cheaper televisions but this TV beats them as an overall package.

Honestly this is a well thought out technical review after using the TV for a couple months.This is a detailed review therfore might take some time to read but I hope it's worth your valuable time.I bought this TV seeing all good reviews about it on flipkart, Amazon and other sites as well, as well as rigorous independent research on the internet but nowhere could I find any major cons of this television.Here I list its 10 major pros and cons.Pros.1. Really Super bright display which maybe owning to super bright direct lit LED's just at the back of the screen (note D-LED panel) .2. Brilliant colors owning to hexa chroma drive where each pixel is formed out of not the usual red green and blue 3 colors in other televisions but 6 colors in this TV so the name hexa chroma.3. No judder lag with fast moving frames or normal videos owning to higher virtual frame rates of 400Hz BMR therfore crisp and smooth videos without irregular and haphazard frame movements as seen in lower refresh rate TV's.4. Adaptive backlight dimming works good, as this is a D-LED therefore shows blacks and darker shades very well.5. Screen display brightness automatically changes in accordance with the room lighting conditions if eco mode turned on or individually its setting turned on.6. Silver metallic bezel / frame of the TV looks good and is different from the usual black style.7. 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports in total out of which both USB ports and one HDMI port is on the side of the TV for easy access while the others are at the back. HDMI 2 input is having ARC (audio return channel) which is very useful for high quality audio if you're using advanced audio devices.8.Easy mirroring option to use your mobile devices to cast directly onto the TV without any specific settings or long procedures.9. TV turns off automatically if Remote not used for a certain amount of time or if no input is received for more than 3 minutes this is very useful for energy savings.10. TV has got many settings to save power and therefore has a BEE energy star rating of 3 which is nowhere mentioned in the specifications.Now coming to the cons, though not very major ones to talk, but still worth considering it if your demands from this TV are opposed to the cons listed below.1. Doesn't support an external hard disk drive greater than 500GB is the final resolution cum conclusion I finally got from Panasonic, even tough the TV is capable of providing enough power 2.5 Watts (@ 5V 500mA) to my hard disk which is 1TB but with a power rating exactly matching TVs USB power output of 2.5W it simply doesn't work. Initially when I contacted the service team multiple times to resolve this issue, at the end of 2 visits they suggested to use Y cable to provide additional power, then I bought the same from Amazon but all in vain replacement too done for the Y cable just incase if the y cable is damaged but that wasn't the case.2. Though a smart TV this one is not really that smart, very limited apps are available from the Panasonic app store, as it's not an android TV your always in limited options, but you do get the YouTube app and Netflix for which there's a custom button on the remote itself.3. Screen mirroring isn't the best, it's got some time lag between your mobile device display and the TV, not only that there is a mismatch of audio and video for the output being played on TV. I found that this can be reduced to some extent if you're using VLC Player on your Android phone.Such issues I didn't find when I used the same mobile device with a Sony smart TV.4. Panasonic is very pathetic when it comes to software updates, there is hardly any updates provided, this TV still runs on years old software designed for this TV when it was probably first released.5. You won't get any technical support team from Panasonic, they don't have a single person from India or abroad to connect you who is very knowledgeable about the product and it's features.6. For any minor issues that you may have, when you contact the customer care, they simply assign you to their partner service provider, a technician will come to visit your place for anything and everything, even if it's a minor issue with understanding the TV features or its usage or software etc.Panasonics customer care executives are really like parrots who have been taught only speak certain words and do a specific action to create a ticket and assign it to the same service center, no matter what you're trying to explain they simply don't care.7.Viera link or media streaming options they claim only works with a laptop, no single person from Panasonic really knows what Viera link is and how exactly to use it, illogical to think about this fact because in contrast they advertise this series of TV on the name Viera.8. Remote is very huge and doesn't fit a normal hand, it's not designed ergonomically.9. SOUND output though claimed to be 20 Watts RMS is not upto the mark, my creative 2.1 speakers with 15 W output is providing double the sound output of the TV with better quality therfore I use the creative speakers not the TV speakers.10.Once wall mounted its very difficult to access the back of the TV as they have provided the wall mount for a smaller television I guess, so just in case you need to plug or unplug any cables it maybe very difficult to do so.

Ordered it in 1st week of October and got it delivered yesterday. Went for it after doing good amount of research on 49-50" TVs available in market. My criteria were1. No 3D2. No UHD/4K (As I dont think it will become main stream for next 5 years)3. Good service network.4. Only 2016 models5. 49" and aboveI didn't want smart features too but then I found that I had to compromise on refresh rate, number of HDMI ports and some other features with the models available in LG, Samsung, Panasonic and Sony. Sony's picture quality is superior but comes with a huge price tag. LG and Samsung is doing good marketing and most of the multi brand stores recommend LG or Samsung. Read that Panasonic is a good brand but not much marketing is done. Also I have panasonic camcorder which is working fine for the past few years. That made me to look for panasonic models. They dont have too many choices (unlike LG) but only 2 - DS630D and D450D. Went with DS630D after reading reviews in Internet. Chose it for the refresh rate and HDMI ports over the non smart D450D. Looks like I have made a good decision. Installed it today and tried the YouTube App, NetFlix App and also tried connecting my camcorder and watched few personal videos. Felt good. Sound quality is very good and dropped my plan to buy any speakers.
