I had initially received a defective unit. Flipkart replaced it in 2 days flat. Pros: 1. The display brightness, color reproduction and clarity of the TV is excellent. 2. Sound quality is about Ok, Its fairly loud. 3. Bezels, although plastic, are fairly thin. The TV looks good. 4. Plays most formats of video files via USB. 5. Feel good factor when you know you've got the best bang for you buck. :) Cons: 1. The TV stand could have been better looking. That said, it does the job just fine :) 2. Only 2 HDMI input ports. Overall its a SUPERB VALUE FOR MONEY TV. Nothing even comes close. If you have 35000 and planning to buy a TV, look no further! I see no reason to spend 10K more and getting a Samsung/LG/Sony 40 inch LED TV, when you can get this 50 inch monster instead! :) P.S - The specs mentioned on the Flipkart website are incorrect. Brightness: 380 cd/m² View Angle: 176 Degrees Contrast Ratio: 5000000:1 Response Time: 6.5ms Power Consumption: 95W

Flipkart delivery is simply awesome, received the LED in less then 48hrs. I got this under exchange offer gave away my 6yrs old Plasma 40inch. Pic quality is simple SUPERB though sound quality sucks but even my Sony 40inch has the same problem, I plan to buy a JBL soundbar for it but for the time being i have connected my Bose sounddock and the results is AWESOME. I have already order a Chromecast to convert this little monster into a Smart monster, Now seriously guys at 28K what more you expect....Sony 32inch HD ready LCD. Just go for this and you won't regret.

I am a sucker for underdogs. Currently use an LG 4K 3D 50 incher bought in India. Also have a Seiki 4k 50 incher in my office, moved with me from the US. And finally now bought a Micromax 50B0200FHD. Will not compare 3D and 4k features here. I wanted to add another 50 inch TV in my house and was on the lookout for the cheapest one available. Went to a few physical stores, Croma, Reliance. The cheapest I could find was Rs. 50k for a Videocon. My 3 concerns with buying the Micromax from Flipkart were: 1. Buying a TV online, risk of damage, no demo before purchase 2. Buying a Micromax product worth Rs. 33k 3. No mention of this particular product on the Micromax website The price of the new TV and the exchange value of my 3-year-old Panasonic 32 inch LCD were tempting and I placed an order of not one but two Micromax 50B0200FHD TVs. One for my wife, one for my sister. For 1, I paid Rs. 26k after exchange and some other Standard Chartered Bank discounts. For the 2nd, I paid Rs. 33k without any exchange or discounts. The TVs arrived on the promised date, within 3 days of placing the order. WS Retail and Flipkart delivery was top notch. The delivery guys were extremely polite and were very hesitant in accepting gratuities. Comparing images between LG, Seiki and Micromax, one will be pressed to differentiate unless placed next to each other. Colors are more realistic on the Seiki, LG has better contrast and Micromax is the brightest of the lot. Standard definition content is not meant for such large TVs. Hook up some true HD content and that is where the Micromax shines. As mentioned by a few others, the TV can read a lot of video formats straight from a hard drive and surprisingly, takes lesser time reading content than my LG. Build quality isn't as good as LG or Seiki, but isn't all that bad either. Sound by itself is acceptable but tinny, as with all slim panel TVs. All in all, its a great product, especially for the price. Just for the sake of information, the prices of all the 3 TVs I currently use are: LG 50inch: Rs. 1.57 lakhs Seiki 50inch: Rs. 60 Thousand Micromax 50 inch: Rs. 33 Thousand For the price, this is as good as it gets!

Great TV Micromax. The Panel is huge! 4 ft wide fantastic size grat image quality , found no difference across brands, its a wonderful addition to the home theater. Enjoying the Full HD clarity and the sound is also good . Direct Usb plays Mkv too!. Great set of features. Happy with my decision to go ahead with this LED TV. Prompt delivery by flipkart.

I did lot of research for this TV. In Pune, no one have this for display let it be Vijay sales, Reliance, Chroma. This delayed the decision. I gone thru all online retail sites, youtube video reviews of this product, and read all reviews on flipkart. I must thank to everyone who shared their reviews for this product, it helped me to make up my mind to buy this one. Flipkart delivered product on-time. The installation did happen in time. Absolutely great. Everything was taken care well. Flipkart service ROCKS. Nice and courteous staff in delivery and call center. This is my 6th TV purchase (not in same location), my first TV was Onida in 1990 time then I used Samsung, LG (CRT, LCD). Today I already have nice LG 26 inch but wanted to buy big TV in Living room. I compared this with my LG and Samsung TV. I found it really good Picture Quality. Pros- Good picture quality in comparison with LG, Samsung, Onida. Original Audio is really good. It has in built SRS (surround sound). Remote is really light and slik. It has option to update the software of TV. Cons- Placement for USB and HDMI should be on sides, it's difficult to access. Only 2 HDMI ports. No 5.1 audio. Only 1 component video. I connected Xbox with kinect (component - HDMI), TATA SKY, LG DVD player, Chromecast, USB and laptop (actually all ports) to this TV. I bought Kinivo 501BN Premium 5 port HDMI Switcher to allow multiple HDMI inputs (more than 4). I also connected 5.1 home theater audio system to 2.1 audio of TV. All this, helped me to make this TV in to regular HD entertainment and SD Entertainment (TATA SKY HD), gaming station (XBOX with Kinect with internet), DVD player (Cinema), Laptop (PC work station) for all work and watching stock market live charts and finally SMART TV (chromecast). You can also make it as smart TV as you connect Xbox with the internet. Looking at the speed technology changing it makes perfect sense to buy this than costly Smart TVs at 80 K INR. I will recommend you to buy 50B5000FHD, do not get confused with 49 inch one. Enjoy.

Its been more than a week and i am really impressed and happy with the TV. Anothe reason to smile.. My cousin visited couple of days back. He came at 10.30 in the night and we were talking and watching TV. He didnt notice that i brought a new one as i owned an Samsung 40" earlier. All of sudden he looked at the MMX brand and was shocked.. He grabbed the remote from my hands and played with the TV for 10 min. Then he asked me the most imp question.. Price and when i told him he was so so upset cos he spent 65K on a Sony 40" a month ago and was pulling his hair. He said that PQ is on par with Sony and for half the price. I was :yahoo:when i heard him. He was cursing me for not informing about my purchase and i told you should have consulted the expert(me :cool:) before even buying the TV. So i have decided to market my MMX TV to my cousins and friends , save money for them and get couple of beers in return. My initial review of the 50B5000FHD LED TV. Design : The first thing you notice is the minimalistic design of the TV. Its quite thin , has a very premium look and is very light in weight. Again no frills, all you see is the micromax logo, power on LED to the left and buttons(volume, channel etc.) at the right bottom of the panel. The low-profile stand though looked small and flimsy was solid enough to support the TV. The design is also quite good and looked very modern. I wanted to keep it that way but i have 2 kids at home who can knock of that TV down any time, so decided to to wall mount. My sincere suggestion to all, avoid the stand and go for wall mount especially if you have kids.The TV would weigh no more than 10 to 11 KG. I don't want to write too much about all the ports and their positioning because its already been shared by other members. Another good thing i liked about is the wall mount shoes which get screwed to the TV were long enough giving decent space between the back panel and the wall. This is ensure that wires can pass easily. Also the ports are position downwards , so there is no issue of the wires getting bent. Remote definitely looks famine struck with minimal buttons and functionality, but seriously who uses the TV remote now a days especially if youhave a cable or DTH. The only purpose of the remote for me personally is to switch the TV on and off. So no complaints. Score : 9/10 Features Again , nothing much to brag about. Its not a smart TV , so let me quickly tell what I have used so far and how they fared. HDMI : I have a tata sky HD box and so never had to use the cable/antenna jack. I have a 4 in and 2 out HDMI box which I plugged it in and it automatically read the input resolution which was 720p/50Hz. No issues at all. Score : 10/10 USB : Plugged in my 16GB USB drive and it recognized it in a jiffy and read its entire contents in less than 3 seconds. I played different formats like MKV, AVI, MP4 etc and it played all without any issues(except for one movie where audio was missing, the same played in my media player without any hassles). I didn't play with it much longer as I already had a Western Digital HD Media player which does all this stuff and so i would rarely use the TVs USB port. But for all of you who are planning to use it, you will be impressed. Score : 9/10 Picture Quality : It was good and i personally compared it with some of the branded TVs my neighbors had and i can proudly say its on par and may be even better in some cases. HD is amazing , SD is pretty good. Black levels : I thought it was an advertising gimmick so didn't believe it initially.I owned an Samsung 40” LCD TV and all i saw was greys instead of blacks so when I switched on the TV for the first time i could see a lot of rich colors and clear blacks(though i was not entirely satisfied). Word of advice, don't use the predefined picture settings , rather select user and alter it to your needs.There is an option to change the black levels. Once i tweaked it, it was VOW.. I watched some full HD content and i was blown away. Please don't compare its PQ with a Samsung/LG/Sony 4K TVs which costs 1.5+ lac. For the 30K price , its amazing. Score : 10/10 Sound : Who ever said its not loud enough ,pls get your ears checked..(just joking). The audio output is quite good , at level 7 its loud and beyond 12 you will wake up your neighbors. I have an Yamaha Home Theater which i usually use while watching movies or cricket. Otherwise for all other TV programs its plain TV audio and i am happy with it. Score : 10/10 This is all i could write , will keep adding more as days go by. Meanwhile if anyone have any Questions/doubts feel free to ask. Bottom Line : Go for it.

I never thought that Micromax will give such performance. This TV is absolutely excellent. 1. LED quality is unbeatable, you can view from any angle, same color same picture no color fading etc. 2. 2 HDMI, 2 USB, 1 AV, 1 VGA & 1 TV input makes it really outstanding 3. you can even connect your external hard disk (but use USB extender cable) [ I have 1TB external WD HDD and I can watch all my movies from it, however if you connect your HDD directly to the TV's USB port your TV will get off and you have to on it again from the remote. but by using USB extender cable(1m length) this will not happen] 4. watching HD channels will give you extra ordinary experience[1080p resolution] 5. 1 headphone out(3.5mm) [can be used to connect Creative 2.0 PC speakers) will enhance the sound experience, will make it an absolute Cinema. 6. last but not least 50 Inch screen will make you rock. 7. you can connect Google chromecast (external device {available separately or by airtel broadband plans} to watch YOU TUBE or other online videos [WiFi connection is required for it] 8. what else you want more. with LG and Samsung the same experience will go beyond the double of the price of this TV, why to waste your money! Just Think...! (this doesn't means that I am against LG or Sony or Samsung etc, they are technology makers) but in my opinion first compare the feathers you are looking for and then decide. Received the TV the next day of purchase from Flipkart, Good Packaging and It was handled with care. The TV has a huge 50 inch screen and the quality is at par with among the best in the market . Hooked it up with the LG Home theater and now I am getting a great experience of watching HD quality movies and Sports events. Remote is simple and easy to understand. In the end its a excellent buy and this review was written after using the TV for 2 weeks. Hope this is informative for all!

When I open the pack and seen the TV ...woowoow love the sleek design really good looking . Brilliant performance . 3. No doubt about the features mentioned I verified all and its present as list by the Brand Micromax :))) 4. Sound is good [SRS !], No need any extra speakers [Wall mounted] , even though the stand for the table-mount is very good - extremely good design. 5. Supports almost all available video formats, Pic etc :))) 6. For gaming prefect !!! 7. On pocket very light - :))) No one in the market will come closer to pricing given by Micromax Brand along with quality. 8.
