I have a USB-powered, wired speakers but it is not practically useful when I want to charge my mobile in one room and play music in kitchen while cooking. So I went to hunt for a portable speaker. I am not an audiophile. I just wanted speaker which is capable for amplify the sound without ruining it completely. Came across a galore of options ranging from Rs.500 to 15000. I have had bitter experience before, so I decided to settle on some known brand. Then I bumped on this cute little pumpkin from Philips. Did enough research and found all reviews are favorable and it has everything I required - portable, loud and decent quality. While its MRP was 3K, amazon was giving it away for 2.2K. Pounced on it. Received within 2 days (perks of living in Mumbai ;) ). Using it for a week everyday and I am totally loving it. Its so cute and the amount of though process Philips given to the design is just amazing.So if you are looking for a 'pretty' portable speaker which is considerably loud with decent sound quality, pick this bomb.Have a nice day!STG

I purchased it 2 weeks ago and i am very impressed with the sound quality that this small speaker can create. The sound is loud and clear for listening in a room or even a mid size hall.I purchased it without having seen it anywhere but when it was delivered i was truly amazed.I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this by looking at the colour, design and brand name. The day i received it and i played first song from my phone on it, beleive me the quality was excellent. Also the battery life is long, which will help you in its extensive usage during travels. Especially, all the bachelors gonna love the rought handling on this product.

Great product.One of the best Bluetooth speaker out there in the market right now. its an extremely portable and the build is sturdy speaker. I bought the speaker mainly for its grenade shaped form factor. It delivers good bass and is pretty loud but the volume settings is completely dependent on the device that you connect to it. I tested it on all my devices Nexus 7, MS surface, Xperia L & my Samsung laptop. Bluetooth connection is very stable and pairs with all my gadgets instantly. One full battery charge lasts for 8-9 hours of playback. Overall a great product for its price. Pros: 1) compact and unique form factor. Prompted most my friends to have a look instantly due to its form factor. 2) Good bass & treble balance 3) pretty loud speaker for its size (mono speaker only) 4) Bluetooth connection is stable and pairs to any devices easily. 5) can be connected to any device which has a 3.5 mm jack without using the Bluetooth connection. Cons: 1) distorts at high volume 2) Does not have any LED which flashes when the battery is either low or when the battery gets completely discharged. 3) No volume control of its own has to be controlled from the device to which the device is connected 4) volume is dependent on the device the speaker is connected to.

This is an amazing product and definitely gives the biggest bang for the buck ! I wanted a Bluetooth speaker which is small, sturdy and under 2.5K. I have reviewed several other products with in the same price range but I wasn't satisfied with any of them. Serious audiophiles should consider other products like Bose soundlink or other options from JBL. But Bose and JBL are quite expensive, so ultimately it depends on your budget. The speaker is light, feels good and believe me it produces awesome sound. the volume levels depend on the device you are connected to and the equalizer settings on your device. I have tested this with my Laptop and Nexus 4 and this really works well. The sound is clear and even the mid range bass is really good. If your idea is to listen to a music in a room then this is the most compact solution for you. the battery will take around 2.5 hours to charge and can play close to 6 hours of music without any issues. The product also comes with a 3.5mm/usb connector which has the dual role of charging the speaker and also playing music at the same time. This cable is really useful if you plan to use the speaker with a laptop as the usb port and 3.5mm jacks are usually close to each other in most of the laptops. The bluetooth connectivity is very easy to setup and once you have paired the device, it will automatically connect to the device whenever the bluetooth is turned on. The speaker also has a button to answer incoming calls and since it has a mic built in, it can be used as a handsfree speaker The call button on the speaker can also be used to pause or play the music in your cell phone. The speaker does not have volume controls on it and hence you will have to adjust the volume from your device. The bluetooth range is also pretty good but don't expect it to work efficiently through concrete walls ..... The product also comes with a carabiner which can be used to hand the product on your backpacks or wherever you deem fit... Over all the nick name "Grenade- sound shooter" is apt for the product as this is the bomb!

I am using the speaker for some month now.. Let me just say that its an awesome speaker for the price offered. It has an excellent built quality., sound is excellent in the treble and mid range but a little low on the bass end. Over all its an excellent product. In my opinion if you are looking for a budget speaker... dont look any further. .....
