I wanted to buy a Bluetooth speaker to take the party with me wherever I go. I wanted something that was loud and portable, yet sturdy. I had my eye on the JBL Flip 2 after using it extensively (belonged to a friend). Finally after 2 months of the Flip 2 being on my Wishlist I finally decided to buy it. This is when I saw the Boat mentioned on the top of the page as a better cheaper alternative. Initially I was hesitant to buy the boAt speaker. When I bought it there were ZERO reviews of it on Flipkart or any other website on the internet for that matter. But seeing as it was half the price of the Flip2, the baniya in me crumbled and I bought the speaker. HOLYSHIT this thing is awesome! It's loud, the bass is great and the battery is awesome. Music is clear and the range is huge. This is one purchase I do not regret one bit. Just go for it. Comes with one very low quality 3.5mm aux cable and a charging micro usb cable. Other than that everything is top notch.

Detailed Long Term Review (Purchased in January 2017 for ?1199/-): The sound is just awesome. In a mid sized room if you play it in full volume, you can't bear the high sound. You will just fall in love with the bass it produces. You can feel the vibration on the table. It is super clear. It looks like a rugby ball and can be hanged anywhere. The buttons are of good quality and respond well. The overall build quality is good. It's range is also good, I tried playing music from a other room and it still worked. In direct line of sight it has even more range, obviously. It's takes somewhere between 2.5-3 hours to fully charge from zero. Personally I play the speaker for an hour each day. It lasts a whole week and can play 6-7 hours of music while holding charge for a WEEK. That's in a word is ' Great '. You must be thinking if it's so good, why haven't I rated it 5 stars, So the reason is there are some cons as well. 1.The sound via the aux cable is low compared to when connected via BT. 2. There is no way to know the amount of battery left in it, as there is no indactor. But few people may know that there is a red light on the left hand side which stays on while charging also doubles up as a low battery indicator. For the the above two are not much of a con for me, you can decide for yourself. But the Actual problem is with - 3. Its black metal net or grill, after 6 months a little brown spot appeared on it, but I ignored it. But in some weeks the rust started to spread. Though it's hasn't spread totally, but you can say 30-35% rust on both side. This is the only disappointment, such a nice speaker, wish they had provided a better metal grill [ -ve 1 star for the rust ]. Anyways still listening to its awesome beats, I can live with that. Not a deal breaker. I suggest go for this. You won't get this high volume BT speaker along with great clarity in this price range. Not under ? 4000 price range. Rest is up to you. So you can always use increase the volume as per requirement.

Pros: Awesome Design. Very much loud. Superb Build quality. Bass is there, do not expect sub-woofer quality. Definitely better than JBL go/Flip. Well balanced mids , highs. Battery life is good. Easy Connectivity. Bluetooth range also good as promised. 'AUX in' is there. ( Blue light will turn RED when AUX is connected ) Light indicator is not annoying. Voice messages for Switch ON/pairing/disconnection. We could hung the speaker in corners with the nylon thread. Cons: Mic is there, but practically its not that useful, if two persons are talking at same time, it will get muted. if we are talking continuously then no issues. Cables provided seems very cheap. No cover is provided for the speaker. Easily will get dirt. It is a worth package, even though its a new brand. ( I got it for 1499/- steal price ) I have checked almost all branded speakers in this price range. I can confidently say this wont disappoints you. If you hold the speaker you can feel the heavy bass punch, it really shakes. For best result : Place the speaker in any corner of the room or hung on the doors. Overall 9 /10 NB : On a thorough checking its found out that the Left and Right speakers were swapped :(
