Review on Feb 13, 2015: Changeable plates for toast and grill !! That is by far the best feature of this product. No other product in this price range gives this facility. The advantage of changeable plates is : (a) easy to clean and wash without worrying about water getting into the equipment. Just soak in warm soapy water for some time and all the sticky stuff gets loose and slides right off. (b) you can grill square sandwiches and burgers whose stuffing does not required you to seal them; and toast and seal sandwiches that have slightly liquid filling. The 2-in-1 feature in one appliance is what I really needed and this appliance met that purpose.The plates are very easy to change. Just a button click on both sides to remove; and a snap fit to attach.The grilling and toasting time is decent. The grilling and toasting is also even.Cons:(1) The gap between the two plates is quite small. If you stuff too much into the sandwich; and force the lid to shut, the sandwich becomes very dry as all the moisture in the bread evaporates; leaving you a thin dry crust of a bread. When the filling is a lot then do not snap shut the toaster -- just let it loosely close over the sandwich. The disadvantage then is that the grilling will be slightly uneven. The back of the sandwich (side towards the lid hinge) will be grilled more than the front. Of course, You can always turn the sandwich the other side and get a similar browning.However, if you always need heavily stuffed sandwiches then the Panini press model of the same brand is a better option.(2) The top steel part of the appliance gets very hot during use. One has to be careful with that. It also is a fingerprint magnet. Gets smudged easily.Will update the review on the durability of the non-stick coating, in a month or two. If no update, then it has not peeled off.Hope this is useful to those planning to buy a toast-cum-grill sandwich maker.UPDATE: February 18, 2015: Sorry to report back that this toaster does not appear to be 700 WATTS as claimed. Even after 15 minutes of toasting, the bread just doesn't get browned now. The auto heat switch-off happens too soon, leaving us frustrated checking every 5 minutes whether the toast is done or not. It is a made in PRC (People's Republic of CHINA). On the face of it, it appears to be a good discount and deal, but performance below par. We can't wait at the breakfast table for 15 minutes for each sandwich to get done !! Will be getting rid of this appliance soon, if it continues to be so slow in performance. Sad to report back a negative... but I had to !!

Product stopped working in 6 weeks. Tried sending email on Nova website....failed repeatedly....Called Nova Mumbai (Web site has only that number).....they gave Bangalore number....called Bangalore....Rude service and said they only have Bangalore service centre and cannot handle Delhi.This is a joke.

It does not have even 3 pin earth point .It make the product very unsafe to use after sometime as it start giving shocks whatever good features it may have.As face the same problem when purchased,also got replaced but after 3 month again found shocks.Amazon's need to check protection given in such products before selling.
