My observation with this router- 1.It looks premium,not like ugly iBall or dlink routers.But light weight gives a cheap tinge on holding. 2.The range is mind blowing but not the signal strenghth.5 dbi antennas succumb to walls easily.My router is on second fllor and on the ground floor I only get one or two bars on my mobiles.But In an open area it performs like a boss. 3.The best thing about this router is low heat that it produces during operation. 4.The factory firmware was unstable and full of bugs.But after upgrading to latest it is working flawlessly.

Been using it for months already and finally decided to write a few lines about it. It is a decent router and fills up the entire house (duplex) with an evenly spread WiFi range. The signal bars are less at farther rooms, but the performance on a 2mbps connection hardly suffered. It is giving decent download and upload speeds (even faster than a local LAN connected desktop) on the Laptop which is used downstairs. Recently went to a neighbor's house around 4 apartments apart and it surprised me with a bar of signal still available and the connection was faster than neighbor's own 1Mbps WiFi. Fully satisfied with the product. A generous buy at its price.

I had bought this to replace my D-Link DIR-615 for better signal strength. And the Asus RT-N12 C1 does just that. Fairly strong signal all through a single-floor three-bedroom apartment. Fairly easy to set it up as well. The only irritant is that if you change a setting (for example, add a new device to the MAC address filtering), it will drop the connection and reboot. The entire process takes about a minute and the connection resumes. I have seen D-Link routers that can save settings without rebooting but I guess you can't have everything. Great pricing too. I am using this Asus router in 'Repeater' mode to extend the wifi coverage of my base wifi router which is a TP-Link model TL-WR1043ND v1 router. Earlier I was using the TP-Link TL-WA901N v2 model Repeater which I have given to my cousin to use. This Asus router is compatible and working fine in 'Repeater' mode paired with my base TP-Link TL-WR1043ND v1 router. The web-browser based software/admin interface of this router is averagely easy to use. It is not very user friendly in my opinion and I have seen better user interfaces. The wifi coverage range is also average. Do not expect miracles. One good option that I found in repeater mode for this Asus router is that, although it is paired to my base TP-Link wifi router in Repeater mode, I still have the option of giving it's wifi network a name (SSID) different from the base TP-Link router's wifi network. Eg. My base TP-Link router's wifi network name (SSID) is 'wifi_abc', I have paired this Asus in repeater mode with this and have given the Asus router's network name (SSID) as 'wifi_abc_repeated'. This helps in identifying which network you are connected to (in which room) and thus you can avoid connecting to the repeater's wifi network unless the main wifi network's signal is very very low. Remember, when connected to a Repeater, the transfer speeds do slow down. This is not noticeable for casual web-browsing but is definitely noticeable when streaming high resolution movies (stored on a USB-connected Hard-drive/LAN-connected Network Attached Storage (NAS)) over the wifi network. Many repeaters do not have this option and by default give the network the same name (SSID) as the main/base wifi network that they are attached to. Although this Asus router is a decent buy at the price of Rs. 1,820/-, in case you want only a dedicated repeater, I would definitely recommend the TP-Link TL-WA901N wifi repeater (available at Rs. 1,524/- on flipkart) over this. This TP-Link repeater is much easier to use in terms of the web-browser based admin interface. It's wifi coverage range is also much much better than the Asus. In case you want an 'all rounder' device which can be used as a Router, Repeater or Access Point, then this Asus product is a decent buy for the price. The TP-Link TL-WA901N Repeater can only be used in 'Client Mode, Repeater Mode (WDS / Universal), AP Mode, Multi-SSID Mode, Bridge Mode' modes and NOT as a base wifi router to connect to your internet modem.

First of all, I would like to thank the whole flipkart parivar .They guided me to buy it and also delivered before a day of excepted delivery date. Ekart logistic is also great. WS retail also getting good marks from me :). Now about the product . For that product I am not get any helpful reviews here. The product is one word mind-blowing, awesome wireless coverage (I have a flat 800+ sqft),It shows me bars 25+ mtrs outside from my room. It is a perfect product for cable broadband (Connectivity type RJ45, Static IPs) users. I am using Alliance Broadband and it seems perfect for me. I am using it through my mobile WIFI and my laptop simultaneously getting more than 550+kbps wireless peering speed, setup is also very easy. So I am very much happy with that. Thank you Flipkart.

We have been using this for more than six months without any trouble. It is been placed near the entrance of our home so that we will get the wifi range to our shop also which is been 40 meters away and opposite side of the road. After Installing Asus RT-N12N300 We have terminated the separate LAN Internet connection in our shop. With one ISP, we enjoy net in other premises also! In home, wfi range works pretty well with our HDMI TV dongle and our mobiles detect wifi up to 85 meters with full swing!
