Let me be very clear first - Flipkart gets 5 star rating for this entire story. But for Haier, its 1star. Flipkart team fought their best for my scenario. Let me explain what happened to me. It will be slightly lengthy.. My fridge came on Jan 22nd and Haier team came next day and installed. But it had a damaged door. Haier asked internally but as it was a manufacturing fault, they asked to return. Haier said they took photos and uploaded in their portal. I raised a return request. Next day someone from Haier called and blindly asked for the return ID. We gave it without knowing repercussions. My return request was rejected saying Haier engineer visited and solved. They never visited after first visit. I raised again a request and again it was rejected with the same reason. After 10 days of drama, I spoke to Flipkart customer care and explained the entire scenario.. They escalated and I got a call from Haier and they said - since u gave return ID, we thought it was solved. What a weird reason... I explained again and after couple of days , return request accepted and new bundle came. We didnt open it and I got a message after a day saying installation completed by Haier.. I called Flipkart and they escalated again.. Haier came today and finished installation. Jan 22nd to Feb 7th- it was like 16 days for a fridge. Seriously... I would say a big kudos to Flipkart in the way they handled but Haier , u failed at customer service...

I picked this up last week, the fridge itself is huge, spacious, well built and works well. BUT, its not a silent worker. The fan in the freezer compartment makes loud whine and it's very audiable especially at night. This product is fine if you keep it in your kitchen, however if like me you place it near you hall in the dining area the whine is going to irritate you. I checked with Haier technician, the issue is standard behavior to this product range. He mentioned the bottom mounted ones are silent he said. Thankfully the product was returned. But if the fan noise isn't a concern for you then this is worthy buy. Special mention about Ekart, since this was a big product there was a lot of commotion during delivery. Firstly they had stuffed a 6.5ft box into a tiny Tata Ace and they were not able to pull it out easily. Then, the delivery guys had issue with the building not having a lift to second floor. When dealt with sternly they silently took it to the location. All the while they were flinging around other products like TV, laptops and other electronic stuff inside the vehicle to rearrange. They even dropped a 40in TV to the floor. The attitude is plain pathetic, I know they are under pressure to deliver quickly, but throwing around products worth thousands is just arrogant.
