Good Tripod

I used this tripod with Canon 60D. It works perfectly well. The pan and tilt arm is very smooth. I recommend this product for photography and home video purpose. It comes with the tripod bag which is also of high quality, only glitch is that you have to remove any one of the handle of the head before putting it in the bag. Flipkart delivered it on time in very nice packaging.

1st of all thanks to flipkart for a swift delivery.
I use this tripod for my Canon 5D Mark III & I must mention a few points:-
1)That this tripod is worth every penny.
2)Great construction and materials.
3)Very customizable.
4)Pans very Smoothly.
5)The quick release locking mechanism feels very secure and easy to tighten/loosen.
6)Good anti shock ring on center column.
7)Low-angle photo adapter on reversible center column.
8)Bubble levels for all 3-axis. Comes with great storage bag too!
9)While sturdy, it's still light enough (2kgs only)
Handles needs to be removed in order to insert & keep it in the carrying case but not at all a problem for me.
A must have for all photographers!

A great tripod with lot of features

I bought this tripod after deciding on the following points:
1) Payload of 5Kg
2) Reverse mount of center column (required for copying work and macro photography)
3) Very sturdy
4) Has PH32 pan head with a dedicated knob for Panorama
5) Super fluid operation of the head
6) Quick setup
7) Quick transformable spike and rubber feet.
8) Hook for increasing counter weight and further stability
Overall a lovely tripod and an asset to my photographic arsenal!
And of course a word for Flipkart for sending it super fast even a day before the promised delivery date.

Finally zeroed in on the pan head.. the ball head option was 3k more. Got to use it a bit and the smoothness was apparent. Most adjustments called for tweaking both handles ... horizontal panning is flawless. Tip the camera sideways and it becomes a 2-way pan head. Size wise i guess it might be a wee bit tricky to fit it inside or outside most rucksacks. For less than 10k I say its a good buy. Might fit the bill for those who go in for quality but not the price.

Vanguard Alta+ 263AP Tripod Aluminium with PH-32

The Alta+ 263AP is a good mid segment tripod for photographers on Budget. The 3 way pan head does its job well and movement is smooth. The legs of Aluminum are light but sturdy, no complaints with the max height achievable with the tripod. Overall very good tripod on a budget, you can easily mount DX cameras with the lens. FX cameras with heavy body and lens users should turn their interest on tripods which have a minimum load limit of 7 Kgs or above.
Overall good tripod, but please don't post wrong photos for the product!!

As shown in product images, it has a lever which allows the centre column to tilt 0 to 180 but its not the case. That's a false image and is of a higher model 263 AB(with ball head). If this is intentional thing from sellers side please do rectify and mention that clearly; if its a goof up from amazon's end then they should see into it as soon as possible.Otherwise the product is very good and sturdy but a bit bulky at 2.5 kg. But vanguard should either decrease its price or should introduce tiltable centre column in this model as well, since for just 3000 INR another model 263 ab is available.

This product is a complete joy to use. Feels as well as behaves very sturdy and stable. A really smooth pan head too. It does give a lot of confidence. The photo/ panaroma knob on the head is a wonderful bonus. Really happy with the product!
