Best tripod for the price range

Aluminium does a good job holding everything in place and each and every feature has its own specialities not light weight but you know its not light weight for a reason, hook it up with a gh-100 and you can go around the world with this tripod without getting a scratch on your cam. My best buy ever!
This is one robust and versatile tripod there is.
Pros: 1. its versatility - the angles of movement of legs is a big plus
2. ability to bring the centre column out to make it horizontal of collapse it outside gives you many creative possibilities.
3. The build quality is great, it gives you a sense of security and worthy of your camera
Cons: this is not a carry around tripod for most. It is heavy as perhaps it is meant to be but asking for these features with lesser weight (by using alloys perhaps) at this price is not unreasonable either.
A decent product and fairly robust. If you find Manfrottos and Gitzos expensive, then the 263AT will be a good choice. The collapsible center column is possibly the most useful feature as it can be completely removed and placed in a horizontal orientation. Besides that it can be turned down completely (180º) and the camera will be upside down which is useful for macros. The legs spread wide apart to a max of 80º and that brings the tripod to a very low height off the ground. A carry bag is also supplied. Buyers must however bear in mind that they have to buy either a pan head or a ball head additionally to mount a camera. After fitting a ball head, I could manage and place the tripod in the bag completely. Reasonably good packaging by Seller and took a bit longer for delivery but I am not complaining.
I have used this tripod in my last trekking program in Roopkund on May-June, 2014.
It is sturdy and easy to handle during taking photo in uneven hilly region. Obviously it is heavy to carry it in trekking but I compromised it due to its robustness. Previously I used light weight tripod in other trekking programs but found not help full to take photos. Due to light weight it cannot work fine with my Nikkon D-80 and Nikkor 70-300 mm lens, it always shake.
But with Vanguard Altra Pro 263 AT I am satisfied. Also I used it in forest and can adjust the camera in various angle without changing the tripod position.
It's an excellent product. Also thanks to flipkart to delivery this product with excellent service.
This damn thing is heavy duty super sturdy. But the whole equipment was dirty as if it accumulated dust in a showroom showcase for more than a year.
