Mr. Product :-
1) Mr.Visionary - This is an excellent product and a must buy for everybody who is looking for some extra space. 1 TB is quite sufficient for today and the near future. And saying about the future, it is very much compatible with it as the hard disk has USB 3.0.
2) Mr.Slim - The size (2.5 inches) of the product is as small as a passport and comes easily in shirts pocket.
3) Mr.Compatible - This is the only product in this category which is also compatible with Mac. (Others, Mac will not detect any of the data in hard disk and will ask you to format before copying any new data)
4) Mr. Portable - And as there is no external power, that's cherry on the top for its portability.
5) Mr. Performer - I ran this hard disk for straight 18 hours but it didn't get hot and didn't even make any noise or vibration (which was expected).
6) Mr.Smart - As I connected this device for the first time, it created a backup folder of Drive C: and now whenever I re-connect, it automatically syncs all new data on Drive C: and stores in the backup folder. All this process runs in a background and takes less than a few seconds.
7) Mr.Overpriced - Its little overpriced in current market scenario as Dollar rates are at their all time highs compared to Rupee and as Thailand is still recovering from the recent floods to make it to their 100% manufacturing. But my suggestion will be don't wait till the prices drop as our Mr.Perfect might get out of stock due to its high demand.
Saying about Flipkart, this was my first purchase from the site and now I'm there huge fan. The product was delivered to me in less than 2 days and it was very nicely packed with good combination of thermocol and air-tight plastic bag.
Awesome amazing EXTERNAL HDD.Go ahead and buy this!

I purchased this product via a local retailer a few months back.
It works great,no errors or problems as of now.
All the specs mentioned above are correct.
The avg transfer speed is about 20 MBPS.It goes upto 23 MBPS.
PROS :
Easy to use,no kind of instalation required.
Its ultraportable,fits into your hand directly.It rocks!
Transfer speed is amazing.
USB 3.0 support will be useful in the future,works great with USB 2.0 as of now.(Better than STAA1000301)
Light weight,more storage.
Its from SEAGATE (reputed trusted) who provides good future support.
Doesn't require external power.
CONS :
Availability (right now its OUT OF STOCK)
Price (high in retail market due to Floods in Thailand) is almost double than for what I got it.

Talking about delivery, flipkart surprised me again, I got the package in ~24 hrs of placing the order. Good work guys!
Coming to product, it's my second Seagate. So far hard disk works fine. The package contains a hard-disk and USB 3.0 to 2.0 connector.
Got within 1 day, great portable drive

Placed the order on Tuesday morning and got it on Wednesday evening. So I am satisfied with the service.
This drive seems be not working on the front usb ports and only working on the usb ports found on the back of the computer because it needs more power. So If you have usb 2.0 ports on the front of your desktop computer, you might need to use the ports which are on the back side.
The max speed I got was 25 mb/sec on usb 2.0, I havent tested it on usb 3.0 but I think it would be much higher. Some times speed would get lower if you copy alot of small number of files.
You should use external 3rd party copying tool to copy files much faster into your external drive such as FastCopy and TeraCopy

Box that you are going to receive contains only

As soon as you connect HDD to your PC auto run file starts execution. First you need to register this product & then it will ask for software installation. The software includes backup & sync related functionality (These software are trial versions for 30 days). Once you done with software installation you will get shortcut for dashboard which further gives options for respective things like sync, backup, etc.
For more details about software you can visit the link mentioned in user manual.
Now, as software is on trial version basis I did not installed them & started using HDD as normal. I am tried this HDD with Windows XP (SP2) & Windows 7 with USB 2.0 and observed that speed of data transfer is about 20 to 25 Mb/s. I did not get any chance to test this HDD with USB 3.0
At last about flipkart, flipkart delivered this product within three working days.

The product stands by the Seagate name. Durable & easy to use. Although care needs to be taken as the cover is prone to scratches. One thing about Seagate is the service. No frills exchange. I had issues with connectivity and the cable was changed without any hassles after inspection.Overall a great buy.
