Request for replacement. Faulty product

The hard disc is not working at all... it is a faulty product...Please tell whether it will be replaced or I have to claim for warranty. At first I tried to connect it to my desktop..it was not connecting...I thought that their could be any problem with my desktop. So I brought a friend's laptop and found that it is not connecting to the laptop too.

Worst product..only once used and copied all the data from laptop and cleared my laptop..then hard disk got corrupted...all my imp data gone...data recovery not covered in warrranty...charges for data recovery are Rs. 10000....more than the cost of hard disk...can be replaced with new one...but I doubt, that new one also will get spoilt after some time..I recommend not to buy Seagate product....

Great product! This red color looks great and is better than black version ( which almost everyone has). I suggest you to go with 2TB rather than 1tb or 1.5tb versions. Write and Read speeds are typical USB 3 speeds of 60mbps. It is very thin and compact so a case is a must. I registered the product successfully on Seagate's website so this is obviously an original product.There is a breathing kinda effect going on with the white light while transferring files which is kinda cool :)

After using this for a year I am very satisfied with the performance. Data transfer speed is fast. Also, performance wise reliable.The Matt feel of device feels nice. Design is easy to fit in palm of hand and also slim makes it elegant. Worth buying for storing large data.Plus point is after registering the hard drive which is easy you can see your device eligibility for warranty.
