Now that my 1TB backup drive is nearly full, I needed another one. The 1TB one is also a Seagate and I went for the same this time also but the 2TB one.It's very light, just around 140 gms, its lighter than my Galaxy phone.I wanted to transfer all my backup from the 1TB drive to this one and then keep adding to it. This way all my backup stays in one place and I can use the old drive for unconnected purposes.I managed to get around 95 MBPS transfer rate when using a dedicated USB-3 cable and socket from my desktop to the hard disk. That is way better than the 30 MBPS I usually got from the earlier USB-2 drives when transferring from my desktop.It took me about 7 hours to transfer 980 GB to this drive which is faster than I was expecting.During the whole time this drive never got even warm or create any lag. The files varied from thousands of few KB ones to more than a GB weight of some movies.This drive comes with a three year warranty and that is a great added advantage. The software for registering is already installed on the drive with the serial number and model details already entered. You just have to click on the register button and give your name and email. All done instantaneously.This is an excellent product with Seagate backing throughout India. I recommend this to everyone looking for an inexpensive backup solution.

You have to admire this beautiful device. It looks like a Gucci wallet. Feels premium and rich. You can show this off to your friends, even in this day of great smartphones.NTFS formatting and USB 3 means it is speedy, I'll even state it's faster than a similar bulkier 1.5 TB drive. I have tested it on Android 5.1, 6.0 and 7.1 also on windows 8. I haven't tested it on a Apple device.It delivers on looks, feel, versatility and speed.
Strictly no if data safety is priority for you.

Bought two segate back to back, both of them crashed back to back.This product is not reliable if data safety is a priority for you, especially for photographers and cinematographers. This is for those people who prefers a handy external hdd for carrying movies, music and already backed up photo. Strictly no no for any kind of important data storage. Otherwise will pay a heavy price for data loss

Cons:- No Security software, No Read - Only mode to prevent viruses, Expensive
