Hello All, I received Samsung Galaxy Tab 730 about 2 days now. From the time I have received this tab, its not getting off my hand. Pros: All the features available with other Tabs and Pads is there in this Tab, so you need not compare Tech Specs with other Tabs. You do not lack any feature except voice calls (not expected to be on Tabs) Cons:Only valid when compared to iPad2.: - Charging takes long time to complete. - Slightly sluggish. - Android doesn't seem to be as complete as iOS, you will find many things that can be improved with respect to OS. - iPad2 Build quality is far better than Galaxy Tab. Why you need to buy Galaxy Tab 730 and not iPad2: - This comes with 3G, GPS at cost much lower than iPad. - Android Market Place with any app you require - lots of free apps. - Display is amazingly great. - most importantly - light weight (compared to any other Tab). Thank you Samsung and Flipkart for such great product and delivery. I'm happy for the cost I paid. I got what I wanted with a Tab.

I Finally got my Galaxy Tab 730 (8.9") and after using it with iPad 2, I felt SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 8.9 product is light years ahead of iPad or any other Apple Technology even iPhone 4S. Here is a short list of what advantage you can have over iPad2; Reasons to consider the GALAXY Tab 8.9: 01. You have USB mass Storage (Which iPad lacks); that means just plug & play and copy & paste. Its that Simple. 02. Significantly higher resolution screen i.e. 800x1280 vs 768x1024 of iPad2 ; More than 30% higher resolution screen. 03. Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Higher PPI screen i.e. 169 PPI vs 131 PPI of Apple iPad2 ; Around 30% crisper display of text, images and video. 04. You can have Full Resolution Photos (whereas on Ipad iTunes, it reduces the size while syncing). 05. Bright, vivid screen of Galaxy Tab 8.9 : TFT LCD that means Brighter and more vivid colour reproduction. 06. Much-Much lighter than iPad2; Around 30% lighter. Galaxy Tab 8.9 = 447g & Apple iPad2 = 601g 07. Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Much newer Bluetooth support 3.0 whereas Apple is still on 2.1 ; Typically faster data transfer and lower power consumption connecting to other bluetooth devices 08. One of the Important feature is the "Bluetooth" which works perfectly for sending and receiving any files with PC, Laptop and my phone. But on iPad, bluetooth just does NOT work for sending files! Which is really irritating. 09. Faster max data speeds HSDPA (21 mbps) vs HSDPA (14,4 mbps) of Ipad2 ; Higher theoretical max data transfer speeds over cell networks (around 50% faster) 10. You dont have to use any software to "SYNC" like on iPad. on Tab you Just drag and drop any file from Windows Explorer. Apple's Drawback: iTunes. 11. Unlike iPad, Android supports FULL multitasking and you have "DESKTOP" with Live Widgets (which Apple can only dream of... :P). 12. It plays more music file formats and video formats than iPad. You dont have to sit and CONVERT videos to get it to play. Yuck !!! 13. MOST IMPORTANT... Its ANDROID... in my case, i consider it much better than Apple's IOS.. Android 3.1 way-way ahead of the current generation of IOS in terms of features.... 14. Its screen aspect ratio is better than the iPad 2, on iPad to video playback has black boreders. 15. Dual Core Processor in Mobile Technology was Launched by Samsung in Apr 2011 (S2), where Apple just launched its dual core with lessor processing power in Sep 2011 (4S). So You can see how APPLE Corp. is light years behind Samsung, HTC, Sony or even any other company running in India.

It is an awesome tablet.No comparability issues with Apple Ipad 2,and guess what flipkart has reduced the price to 30900..from 32000...thats even lower then what you get in any showroom setting.I wish i had bought it from flipkart,,,i ended up paying 3000 extra..well altogether the experience is awesome you can even connect your pendrive with the USB adapter connecter provided in the Box along with the tablet. and it does have a bluetooth sharing facility and the HI DEF video player is again a Boon.Best buy for the price being offered...

I have this tab for over a week now. Delivery from flipkart was prompt and hassle free. The product itself is amazing. its not too big not too small, perfect for reading documents and watching videos. I like to read some ebooks or any new articles before i go to sleep, This tab is perfect for that as its not heavy at all and is very comfortable to hold in hand. A 10 inch one would be little uncomfortable i think. This is perfect for portability as well, it can fit in any bag for you to carry around. Games are a delight to play. Resolution could have been bit better but i guess but not a limitation.Battery life is outstanding I charge the device once in two days and that's with moderate use. I like the touch wiz overlay on this one as it add s lot of functionality to the device. The few things that i dont like about this tab are 1. No SD card expansion option 2. No Dialer option If these two were present then i think its an amazing tablet and better than the 10.1 version(10.1 also doesnt have these features) If you are thinking of buying a tab for reading and portability buy this, if you think your tab will mostly be on your table and just used sparingly for some games and videos then go for 10.1. both are good in their own right,just depends on the purpose

After doing a lot of analysis around I finally decided to go with Tab 730 ... Here is whatz not on the specs : 1. Samsung has agreed to upgrade this tab to Android Ice Cream Sandwich, current update is Android 3.2 .. 2. Comes with AllShare, so can connect with DLNA compliant devices. 3. The free cover with the product is good, worth the price and not something that show for discount 4. Need to buy screen guard, so add that cost PROS : Android 4 upgrade, best screen size not to big or small, 2 core processor, 9 hours of battery life, light weight though not comfortable for reading with cover on, Camera is good, 3G/WiFi/BlueTooth/DLNA, name a network and it can connect, Capacitative Screen, CONS : charging takes some time, slight lag when reading in some apps ( though kindle works fine ), Cant upgrade memory myself or battery for that matter. 3G but no calling ( may be can get an apply but really I'd rather have a phone then calling from tab ), touchWiz is not that great .. I rather use Go Launcher HD For delusional apple lovers, agreed apple graphics are good, sadly that is the only thing your getting. Here is what this tab has to offer over and above what iPad can do .... 01. Plug and play USB like USB 02. Flash 03. Better choice of apps ( both free and paid ) 04. NO itunes 05. More support audio and video formats ( Avi, Divx, etc etc) 06. Bluetooth works with any device 07. Google Drive + dropbox, still need iCloud ? 08. Kies sync wirelessly to all devices 09. 3G ( compared to apply ipad 16 GB, thats close the price of this tab ) 10. Better screen resolution and display (1200x800) .. hands down ! but yes apply overall interface is good, but then we can get free launcher apps and get over that as well. Bottom line : 3500 book cover free + the price and things it can do .. worth the buy !
