I love my new Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet
By Kapil Khandelwalon
Its my first tablet. I am loving it. Good touch. Processing speed is also very good. I have no problem so far.
Pricing confusion
By Pavan Katariyaon
To all the previous reviewers who are comparing the price of this tablet with the american pricing of $499, let me clarify that the American version is a wifi only version which is not launched in India. Yes, even after that there would still be a difference, but not as much as Rs 13000. The Wifi and 3G model would be launched in USA for $599 and add to that the respective tax from a particular state, which comes to around $629 (approx and average). Convert that and the amount is approx Rs 34500. So the difference is just about 4000, which is mainly due to Governement Taxes and Import Duties not because Samsung wants to price it higher in India and lower in USA. They possibly cannot do that because that increases the chances of smuggling, and grey market sales. About the product, i just got one yesterday, its a good product individually if one doesn't comapre it to the iPad. iPad is an iconic device and has its core focus in place. I don't see any model disturbing that status in the near future, irrespective of the list of shortcomings that an iPad has (no bluetooth transfer, no mobile connectivity etc etc), coz it does its primary duty and i.e being a TABLET. Again not to take the credit away from Samsung, this is so far "their" best product in the tablet category. It has all the possible features, though i would have expected a better display at this price point. Voice Call though not practical for this segment, it nevertheless adds up as an option for hardcore bluetooth headset users. The selling point though, is the S pen and the respective applications. The S pen is surely a creative person's dream and it works like one. It has definitely come a long way from the Note, with smoother interface. My advice to buyers would be, do not exchange your iPad with the Note, and for new buyers, its a tough call. But if Voice calls and S pen is what one is looking at, then don't look back coz Note doesn't disappoint. And if display and ease of use is what one wants, its Apple all the way!
my Dream Tab...not everybody's favorite.
By Ajay Shankeron
Idle mind is a devils workshop....Note 10.1 is one helluva creative persons workshop.
First of all let me say this...
I need a tab to work with, to create something, to do something useful, a mobile laptop.
Not for watching movies or playing games or anything..my hdtv n gaming rig do a pretty good job at that. Galaxy tab 10.1 i feel is tailor-made for my needs. I am a medical student and i do a lot of seminars. I also design posters n photo editing for the college union in the free time..Note 10.1 has made my work a breeze. I have discovered dozens of features that has made my life more productive. Those who have said its crap dont truely acknowledge its potential or are the one who need a tab just to see pics on an awesome screen or watch movies on the go or worst case scenario- I-have-an-ipad showoff! Price is high..yup but its got the same configuration minus camera n screen of note2 which sells at 37k. I see a deal breaker there.

Not pretty happy
By Suddhasheel G.on
I just received the item today. The first thing I was attracted to while seeing the advertisement of this product was the ability to use the stylus. Unfortunately, the stylus is for right handers only and I had a difficulty using it being a southpaw. Secondly, the lag time of the hand movement and its finally going to the S-note is pretty big. Also, the stylus does not work at all angles.
I am glad about the dropbox 50GB account and the samsung account. I hope that these would be configurable later as I skipped these on first opening the packet. I would also be keen on changing the language. The bad thing is that the device does not contain any documentation as well.
Resolution is very bad. Other features are pretty impressive
By Sajith Geetrajon
I loved the product except for
1) resolution
2) the product can still be fine tuned in the way different apps work.
Everything else is pretty impressive. The S pen is kick ass.. Samsung should have worked in resolution. Resolution is a big let down.
