Lives up to its tagline: Never Settle!
By Shankar Ram Sivaswamyon
I am fully impressed with this phone after 2 weeks of usage.I was using a LG G3 before this and had to buy the phone because of a pcb board failure.( had also replaced the battery last year)Within 3 weeks I had done my research on various models at various price pointssome of the phones I considered wereMoto G5 plus----> excellent reviews all over, but camera is a compromiseMoto Z play------> good battery life...but specs wise ok and additionally it is made to support the moto mods so design looks funny with the pins at the backHonor Pro 8----> phone has some heating issues while using cameraOne Plus 5---> other than jelly effect no significant issues seen on the internetIPhone 6S ----> if IOS fan, then go for it but take the higher memory version as 32gb is too small for Ios apps.IPhone 7----> camera not as good as galaxy s8 , pixel or one plus. please see the comparisons online. why spend so much when one plus 5 is available at nearly half the priceLG G6 & Samsung S8---> did not consider Korean phones especially after my experience with G3.coming to the phone usage. I will not speak about the specs as most reviews highlight it in detailwhat I liked!Blazing fast while opening closing apps etcCamera is quite good! I would not rate it as good as pixel, but produces very acceptable quality in most lighting conditionsdesign is very slim. fits comfortably in one hand. but I would recommend a case as it is slippery especially while trying to take selfiesVideos are with Electronic image stabilisation ( 4K too) which is brilliant!Dash charge is very good!latest OS 4.5.8 update is available also to downloadwhat I dislikedCamera app is very basic. not so much customisations such as gesture shutter. there is a smile shutter which is too responsive and clicks away!Gallery app is also very vanilla. although we can create collections, it cannot be uploaded to google photos.Battery life is a question mark especially over 2-3 years as currently even with moderate usage It gets me through a day ( but most phones have this problem so its not a deal breaker )Display legibility is not great especially under direct sunlight. this could be corrected with adaptive brightness but then indoors it becomes too bright.so drains the batteryOther than display legibility most of the above cons can be fixed by software updates I guess.I have also uploaded some pictures I took under different condtions. please note that I did not set any condtions or modes.I just pointed and shot as I am no expert in photography :)overall I am very happy with the 2 weeks I have used it.Without any fear , go for it!
Very good build quality
By Guruon
Very good build quality. I have the 8GB version - is very smooth and never seen an app reload. The best part is 128GB on board storage, so no need to worry about missing the SD card option. I might come here with a long term review after a few weeks. The fingerprint sensor is super fast and accurate.
Worth every single Penny!
By Sagar Shardaon
I was bit tensed before ordering it bcz it is huge amount amount for me(I'm student) (33k). But my parents told me not worry buy it. I ordered it & received within 2day of order hatsoff to Amazon for that.*Pros- 90% Charging in 60Mins. If you use phone only for whatsApp & Social meadia not gaming Charging last for more than 10hrs With 4g- Camera Quality is more than Superior- Everything is too good.- using for More than 15 days not single phone lagged or heated!*Cons- Portrait mode Sometime is not effectedBesides that phone is above your expectations!
What a Phone! Class
By Mohit Sonnieon
I was skeptical initially to buy it, however after carefully reviewing it via Hundreds of videos, I finally made my mind to buy it. I don't regret my decision. The product has been working smooth as silk without any lags or Bugs. The buttery soft touch makes your fingers glide over the keyboard. Dash charging is a Blessing. 6Gb RAM is ready for anything then at it with Snapdragon processor working those apps like a cakewalk. Despite a lookalike of iPhone's design, it still is Android at heart running Nougat 7.1.
Must buy phone.
By Akshay Suresh Karbhalon
Using this phone from 1 week. Faced no problems. They have given lot of shortcuts and options for user friendly experience. Don't use this phone without back cover. Once you add a good back cover it is very handy. Camera of one plus 5 is best in this price range. Dual camera really makes a lot of difference. Avoids noise because of 2x zoom. Front cam is also good. Battery charges very fast and you can get along a whole day with it. Sound quality is also good.
Five Stars
By Puneet Kumar singhon
This is a really great phone, it looks super sexy, it's fast, loads of storage space and the fingerprint scanner operates so quickly you'll wonder if it's actually doing anything or it just unlocks when the button is pressed! (it doesn't, I tried with other fingers to make sure).the camera is good, but it does seem to struggle with focusing at times.I've had a OnePlus 3T and there are noticeable differences, mainly (I think) due to the 5 having a newer version of the OxygenOS. For example there are more gestures available (where you draw a shape on the screen to activate something), the icons and interface looks cleaner and you now pull the app tray up from the bottom rather than pressing a dedicated button. The 3T was a brilliant mobile and if you have it I'm not sure you really need to upgrade just yet. The OnePlus 5 is also a brilliant mobile, but it feels more of a refinement of the 3T rather than a revolutionary step away from it.If you're in the market for a lovely looking slab of tech that can power through games, has an excellent battery life (which can be charged super fast) and a lovely screen then the OnePlus 5 is well worth considering.PLEASE click on "helpful"This motivate me to write more review after buying thr product
Best in class premium phone!
By Mehak Sachdevaon
I browsed a LOT of phones before finally deciding to go for the One Plus 5. I have written this detailed review to help out with your purchase. Do leave a helpful vote if this review helps you out. I bought OP5 with the exchange offer. Here are some reasons why you should buy this phone :1. First of all, OP5 has an amazing camera! Even in low lighting conditions, it works great. You can take some really amazing selfies with this phone.2. It feels great to hold it in your hand. It has a premium body design and can withstand some accidental drops too! ( I dropped it twice already)3. It has an amazing AMOLED display which really brings out the color.4. It is a beast when it comes to battery life - can last for an entire day! Also, it only charges up in about 30-45 minutes with Dash Charge!5. OP5 has top-end specifications with the Snapdragon 835 that makes multi-tasking pretty easy.6. Oxygen OS comes with some pretty cool features.7. Call quality is amazing and I never faced any audio issues with it.8. OP5 is great for gaming. You can play long sessions of Asphalt 8 and GTA Vice City but it will never overheat!+PROS :+ Premium design that is inspired form iPhone 7 plus with multiple modifications.+ It can record 4K Videos with excellent details and good quality.+ It also has a LED Notification.+ The performance of phone is equally good as flagship phone of Tier 1 brands.+ The display is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.+ To charge fast it also support Fast battery charging (Dash Charge)+ The camera is featuring 2x optical Zoom for lossless closer photography.-CONS :- The display is only Full HD for a flagship phone, not suitable for VR.- They are missing key features like OIS, IR blaster, and FM Radio.- There is no place to expand the memory with the help of SD Card.- The company doesn't offer SD Card slot and still missing IP68 water resistant body.- Only 2 Midnight Black and Slate Grey Colour variants are available.- Non-removable Battery capacity is reduced from last handset (3400mAh to 3300mAh).FINAL VERDICT :Just Go For It! Although you will get a decent 5.5 inches Display, Well crafted premium design, Camera that offers quality pictures, Best CPU coupled with the 8 GB RAM and a Battery that can easily stand for one full day however now this handset is slightly expensive than its previous version.ALTERNATIVE PHONES :If OP5 is not for you, you can check out these phones :* LG G6* Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge* Xiaomi Mi 6
Beast in this Price Range
By Sinchan Deyon
Did it kill the Flagship this Year?Well if not kill it surely Injured them Badly.Let's keep it short and crisp. I will break down into pros, cons, and also compare it with other alternatives in this price range. Hope it helps. I am using this device for nearly 3 months now. So my review is based on my daily hardcore usage and pushing the device to it's limits.PROS* Snapdragon 835 is beast of a processor. It's powerful and power efficient at the same time.* 6 GB RAM, we used to have this on PCs. Nothing to say about the RAM management here. It is the best. Easily 10-15 apps running in the background at a time.* 5.5" 1080 p AMOLED panel is bright, crisp and have great contrast. Though HD it is on the top racks of the HD screens close to UHD. You won't notice the difference.* Build quality is amazing, one of the nicest phones to hold on your hands. Light and very comfortable to hold.* One of the fastest fingerprint sensors on a device.* Cellular reception is great with clear call voices and network reception.* Oxygen OS is fuild and close to stock Android. I am big fan of cleaner OS. This is by far my favorite UI. It has it's own small customisation and features with the goodness of stock Android.* Dash Charger is my favorite. One of the fastest chargers on the planet. This is amazingly fast. Top ups my device from 10-100% in little over an hour. Battery life is good. Last a full day of heavy usage.* There is a HEADPHONE JACK*Notification LED is helpful and it's multicolored.* Cameras are terrific. I kept the best for last. The dual cameras on this device is amazing. I am in love with the camera quality. The Telephoto is perfect. I could capture decent amount of details of airplanes from my roof. The portrait mode is very well integrated and works like a charm. However there is a little interesting bluff here. I will discuss it in the cons section. The front camera is also very good with screen flash. It capture good amount of details. 4k recording with EIS is a charm. Even the front camera has EIS, great for vlogging and YouTube videos.CONS* Speaker placement is utter design mishap. It gets easily blocked while playing games or watching videos in landscape mode.* There is no video calling option in the dailer for the Jio users.* The secondary camera has a bluff. The second telephoto lens is a 2.8 lens that needs quite a good amount of light to operate. While you are indoor or in low light situations the secondary zoom simply doesn't work. Even while you tap the 2x zoom the zoom you get is the digital zoom with qaulity loss. Only in good lighting condition the secondary camera operates.WHAT ARE THE OTHER OPTIONS* HONOR 8 PRO: double the storage for lower the price. The Kirin counterpart is power efficient and a great performer.* MOTO Z2 PLAY: thinner and have a dedicated SD card slot.So should you Buy it?- HELL YEAH !!!It is one of the best Smartphones you can buy today with your money. I would choose it over many higher priced devices for one simple reason. VALUE FOR MONEY.Let me know if you liked my review and send in your love if it helped you make an informed decision.Follow me : yourownconsumer.comTwitter: @dey7sinchanInstagram: @d.sinchuCheers
You should wait for One Plus 5T till November 21 !
By Ajay Singh Rajputon
******Writing this review after using the phone for 2 months****I bought this phone somewhere around september 7, 2017. I always wanted to try a flagship killer phone (One plus) , the only difference being the cost is nowhere near a flagship killer. However I bought One Plus 5 (64GB, 6 GB Ram) and I admit it is totally worth every penny. The camera quality is a bit on the good side however the camera software app has a lot of noise and watery paints type pixels. I would suggest downloading Google Camera with HDR+ port for this phone and the camera quality improves for low light photography which is a major plus point. The battery life for this phone is awesome. with 3300mAh Battery and Snapdragon 835 processor chipset, the battery life would last for 1 - 1.5 days with moderate use. In total it takes 1.5 hrs to charge the entire battery life with upto 60% charge within the first half hour. In case you battery drains drastically, try wiping the cache and delete data from the recovery mode. The phone is super fast and it didn't lag even once in the past 2 months. You can play games without any lag issue. However, there are a few points about this phone I would like you to know before you decide on buying this phone!1) Since it is already November now, I would suggest you to wait for One Plus 5T which will be available for sale on 21st November' 2017. Though it might have the same hardware and specifications. I would suggest you to wait for the latest segment of the phone for almost the same price.2) There are a few bugs here and there with this phone and it's not a major issue anyhow since all the phones have bugs at some point of time and One Plus 5 keeps rolling out timely updates for such buggy issues.3) The phone has yet not received the update for Oreo 8.0 Android OS. Yes, The phone still runs on Nougat 7.1.1.4) I would suggest you to order a backcover for this phone since it is very slippery and you wouldn't want to damage your brand new phone inspite of it being Corning Gorilla 5.0. If you're planning to buy a Tempered glass for your OnePlus5, I would suggest you to kindly check the tempered glass since there have been a lot of complaints regarding the Tempered glass coming out with time or bubbles being form in the glass. This is due to the fact that the One Plus 5 has 2.5D curved glass and the back cover touches the tempered glass and forces it to come out! Be careful with what you choose! So overall , the One Plus 5 is an awesome phone but you should wait for One Plus 5T. You never know it might turn out to be Awesome-er! If not, One Plus 5 will still be here!
OnePlus 5 : Simply Awesome & brilliant device.
By Yash@mahion
It's a great device. You will love the beauty as well as fluidity of this device.I am reviewing this device after use of 15 days : no lags , no heat's.Camera quality is good . 2X option zoom helps a lot . Front facing camera is also very good in zero light condition screen flash does good.Battery backup is also good. The stock Android experience I am missing few features here i.e : no IP ratings , no OIS , no dual apps .Fingerprint is very fast & responsive .Infact in hard daily usage it does well.Design is similar to 7+ but looks well OP5.Dash charging is best among all. In one words : Guys if you are looking for a good smartphones . OP5 is answer for those.
