Bought from seller "Cloudtail" (Amazon's own JV with Infosys co-founder N.R. Narayan Murthy's investment firm Catamaran Ventures) for Rs. 799 on a lightning deal with free shipping (Amazon fulfilled). Ordered on Jan 21st and received on Jan 25th with regular non-expedited delivery through Amazon Transportation Services. Never used a Nova product before, but bought it ahead of Phillips because the price was way too tempting and the product had a good 4.0 rating on large volumes. Also in the belief that Cloudtail probably won't stock rubbish.Very decent toaster for the price, but the manual is next to worthless. It's just a single leaflet that doesn't say anything about how to operate the damn thing. I didn't realize the toaster cannot actually be turned on without the bread slices, so send back the first one thinking it was faulty. Amazon/Cloudtail gave me no trouble with replacement. The second one was received on the 28th of last month. It was only when the 2nd one "wasn't working" either that I realized it must be me who's doing something wrong. Turns out that was indeed the case. So the first one was probably fine as well, and I feel bad (and embarrassed) for the whole ordeal.For those wondering how to get the thing started, here's how you do it. Firstly, put in the two slices. Then, plug the toaster in, switch on the power (wall socket) and then only can you press the lever. Power + bread both are needed for the lever to actually work. Disregard the small round button completely. It is NOT an on/off button, and can ONLY be used to 'cancel' when the device is actually on. While the toaster is unplugged and/or there's no bread, the lever just won't work unlike toasters from some other brands.The next few lines are for first-time toaster users. You don't need to try and 'stop' the toasting process. Almost all toasters these days (including this one, of course) are auto pop-ups, meaning, the toasting stops automatically after a pre-scheduled time, and the slices 'pop-up' to make extraction easier. Levels 1 and 2 are really mild. You'll need at least level 3 or 4 if you like proper crunchy toast. Also, like me, if you like crunchy without too much browning, use twice at lower levels, but only after waiting a while to cool down the bread and the machine, otherwise, the bread may burn.You may also leave the bread in the hot toaster for a minute or so longer (of course, with the toaster off) to make it crunchier without blackening.Finally, as for the device itself, it's fairly decent for the price, but sharp metal edges at the bottom aren't filed off, neither is there any plastic or other type of sheathing. The crumb tray works but is pretty rudimentary. Actually, it's not even a tray, but just a trap door on the bottom that just opens to let you dispose off the crumbs.Also, there's no cover on top, so you'll need to arrange for one. All in all, seemingly value for money. I hope it lasts long enough so that it is actually 'paisa wasool' vis-à-vis the Phillips one that I was eying initially.

I purchased the piece looking at the reviews, but was totally disappointed. Within the 3rd use, the lever that needs to pulled down for heating the toast gave way & the toaster refused to get heated. This given the fact it was handled with great care. i still have the original packaging of the toaster
