The delivery was good, the product was great, but it fell and broke after third use...In house service was good but they said no parts... So whole piece needs to be put... Cost near new... Final verdict... Bad service with no parts.... So one star.... As morphy richards is interested only sale and not servicing of its products.... So guys please watch out

I have been using Prestige 2 plates sandwich maker for past 7 years. Wanted to try waffle at home and it is problematic to keep another appliance just for waffle, so search begins. Requirement is to have grill and waffle plate - sandwich maker. Prestige and Philips does not have one, Nova and other brands are not so trusted, only options I am with are Wonderchef and this. Went for this for better reviews it got and using other Morphy Richards product and satisfied with them.Now, lets come to the point, I will touch upon mainly on waffle making, as other functionality is same as other sandwich maker. But to start with, it comes with 3 pairs of plates (sandwich, grill and waffle) and the plates look solid and has good non-stick coating. Never used sandwich plate as it makes a sandwich soggy. Grill plate for sandwich, is more practical and sandwich comes crisp and in proper shape. Tip to get proper grill sandwich is to preheat and then place your sandwich. The machine takes 3-5 minutes to heat up, indicated by a green light.Now on waffle making, as this machine cannot be turned upside down like some professional one, you need to get your ingredients right. And you need "baking powder" to get proper shape of waffles. The batter, when cooking, should puff to such a volume that it rises up to the top lid and makes waffle grooves. If you get ingredients right, you ought to get good waffles. It takes around 4 minutes to get one set of waffle. If you want crispy waffle, open the lid at around 3 min, brush with some butter, and cook for another 3-4 minutes.A sample recipe for 3 sets (6) of waffles, I use, 1 cup of maida, 1.5 teaspoon baking power, 2 table spoon sugar, 2 eggs, 2 table spoon melted table butter and around 250 ml of milk. Simply mix everything to a smooth consistent batter (should not be too runny/watery nor too thick). Put the batter after preheating and greasing with butter. Give a minute of time between making each set of waffle, it gives the machine some time to reach enough heat (as it looses some heat while making a waffle). Do not open the lid before 3-4 minutes of cooking after pouring the batter.Grilling other things (say meat or veggies) is not as easy as using a proper grill pan/oven. Its quite small for that sort of task. You can only use it for preparing some breakfast by grilling sausages or small items like mushroom etc.Other things to note, build is good and the machine is of compact size. None of the parts are dishwasher safe. Plates you have to wash with regular dish soap by hand. It can be used with 5 amp power plugs. Body becomes heated when in operation. Handle remains cooler than the body, so its fine to be touched any time while in operations. Plates are clipped with two notches, so its little clumsy to remove them at times.Overall highly recommended for those, who likes grilled sandwiches as well as waffles. Saves you from having a dedicated waffle machine.
