Mind the gap in the door

As reported by other reviews, there is a slight gap on the door when closed. They say it is by design, but looks like defect. It kind of works for us, so not complaining much. Over all it bakes and we it is fine. Would definitely not recommend for others, as i expected better quality for the price and brand. Our last Morphy product.
The door of the oven doesn't close fully.

This is my first product of Morphy Richards. This brand was listed on top when I googled for good OTGs. So went ahead and bought this one online. When I received this item, as soon as I unpacked I realized that the door of the OTG is not closing completely. There is a small gap on the left side ( towards the knobs). The knob panel is little curvy and the glass door is not. Hence a slight gap. I though I should ignore such a small gap and went head and switched that on. As instructed it kept in toast mode and 250c. After 4 mins I observed that the knob panel is getting heated. I quickly switched it off and ordered for return. If one start cooking in it, surly the knobs and panel would get damaged in no time. Its a basic DESIGN ISSUE. I wonder how come they even sent it to market with out basic testing. No more Morphy Richards!!!

Its really d best.....Pizza cake everything just perfect.but don't know why cookies r burnt..dt's d only problem rest all fine..I wish I would brought 28ltr becoz I don't get the perfect cookie's tray fr baking if anyone knows what's d perfect size dt would suit perfectly plz let me know

I bought it last diwali during their unbox zindagi sale and received decent discount.
For product demo, the Bajaj guys came and did their part. Morphy Richards service is done by Bajaj.
After using the product for 6 months, I can recommend this OTG to anyone with family of 3-4. My wife has baked yummy cakes and muffins and the oven does work like a charm. We have grilled fish, whole chicken(need to remove legs or else it wont rotate as space is less) and prepared various types of kebabs. All cooked to perfection and no over cooking or burning till date. Very happy with the purchase.
