This monitor is pretty good and works perfectly with a gtx 1080 but the piece I received was defective (backlight bleeding from top left corner) so ensure that you monitor doesn't suffer from a backlight bleeding issue which can be pretty annoying when you are watching a movie in a dark room. Other than backlight bleeding this monitor was perfectly able to handle arma 3 easily which is one of the worst optimized game ever made, Watchdogs 2 in 4k with gtx 1080 gave me 40-50 fps with ULTRA settings, Ghost recon wild lands was able to give 40 fps in 4k. Also, buy this monitor only if you have a graphic card supporting 4k or at least 2k display or else this monitor will be a waste of money if you are going to use it with 1080p display.NOTE: This monitor doesn't come with USB port and speakers (Your OS might consider that this monitor supports sound)UPDATE: I have contacted LG customer support before returning this and was told that they can't fix a backlight bleeding issue and backlight bleeding issue in this model is very uncommon (2015 monitors were infamous for that issue) so don't compromise if you even see a single spot of backlight bleeding issue.UPDATE 2: Received a perfect replacement! happy with my purchase.

I use it for image editing and creation of animations in Windows 10. The monitor is too beautiful, makes it easy to read any text contents and display high resolution pictures. The only thing to note is in order to run 4K display monitors with 60Hz you will needs graphics support or your Motherboard should mention that it supports 4K resolution. In absence it may run 4K display with 30Hz which will have annoying jitter when you move mouse or type keys.Update: 21st DecemberPlease note, be careful with LG as they are also selling items with manufacturing defects that sellers are not aware. I purchased same monitor again but unfortunately the monitor came with muddy brightness. I replaced it 4 times and changed seller as well but to my surprise I received monitor with muddy brightness, it shows yellowish for white. I filed complaint with LG and their technician inspected and confirmed that there is manufacturing fault in monitors being sold this month (December, Banglore).

I bought this monitor especially for my xbox one x & ps4 pro cause both hdmi supports hdmi 2.0 4k at 60hz.Best part about this monitor is it has hdcp2.2 means u can stream any video at 4k.i have gtx 1060 with ryzen 5 so freesync is useless for me.keep in mind hdmi never support freesync but supports on displayport.First things 1st u need to change settings for 4k in settings on hdmi or else u stuck at 1080p if u use display portTo do that go to Menu<picture<picture adjust<turn on HDMI Ultra HD Deep colour & super resolutionthats it u can get 4k on hdmi.displayport 4k is defaultonly it lacks HDRThis monitor has black light bleed so i kept at zero brightness,i think its common at most ips panes

Monitor is good when everything works fine. My monitor started giving back light bleed issue within 6 months.I contacted LG service care for 15 days just to get my complain registered. They assured me that the service engineer will come to my place and resolve my issue. After 2 days when the service engineer visited my place he told me that issue is serious and told me to drop the monitor at service station and did not give me any estimate with regards to time required for servicing.He looked unsure of the problem. I think it is really bad on the part of LG not to give replacement for top of the line monitors when they develop issues within warranty. Previously owned dell ultrasharps and they come with three year warranty and give prompt replacement when they develop problems. LG monitors look good on paper and are little cheap but their service is very bad. Request everyone to weigh the Pro and cons before buying this monitor and if you are spending 40k may as well spend a little more and buy a dell.
