I had got a new Lacie Porsche Design a month back,
Visually the HDD design is brilliant but within a week of time , HDD start to crash partitions started , every now and then the filesystem gets screwed up and I will will have to format and reparation it over and over again . Which kill the soul purpose of storage.
PS : Do not buy!
Fabulous!

You get what you pay for!
The design is superb, feels like a limited edition gadget though a little bit heavy and edgy on the design for a drive likes the feel, the silver finishing would last for as long as the drive last!
Installation and product ID registration is quite easy.
Been using the drive for a while now...
Transferring of 40-50 GB above is at an average of 30mbps on a mid range window laptop.
The preloaded file apps servicing are quite useful and really handy
What I like about the most about the drive is... It never gets heated though files and played from it for long 7-8 hours or moe and I 'plug and playe'(d) games on it which is not with other brand external drives when the aspect of heating is an issue, but that's what you get when you pay half more the amount of any 1TB drives which one can get from any retail or online market.
But would'nt recommend it to budget buyers as far as transferring speed of data's and files are a concern, there's not much difference there, but in any other case it's hard not to recommend it at a price of 7k (grab it before the offer still stands, the offer is not getting any better which i bet!) which is lesser now from the time i bought it or even try the new type c connector!
Hope this helps, thank you

It is great companion for my MacBooks air. But edges are very sharp.
