Tablet does not work if pen not continuously connected by cable

By Droidzoneon
The first unit I received was faulty. It did not work. The pen would work only while connected to cable. I've seen several others with same issue. I've charged it for even 20 hours through they say it should work after 2 hours of charging. Maybe there's no rechargeable battery in this?I ordered a replacement unit on Amazon and it had the exact same issue. I've reinstalled drivers many times, rebooted in between after manually deleting drivers from Device Manager etc. But nothing works. The tablet needs the pen to be connected by cable, to work.I wrote to Huion support, and even uploaded a youtube video showing the problem. But though their country manager responded, by that time I had already returned the second unit for a refund. What was scary were some reviews of the tablet/pen stopping working after some days. If this happens after the return deadline of Amazon, I wouldn't be able to do anything about it then.

Cheap Tablet: WYGIWYPF. What you get is what you pay for!

By Adam A Ron
Reviewing this after using replacement unit after having returned a nonworking unit. The first unit I received did not work. Simply did not work! Tried all things that Huion support keeps repeating in many different forums. Correct driver before connecting the tablet, charging the pen (in fact I charged it for 2 hrs, 4 hrs, overnight, without success), connecting the charging cable. So, I returned this for a replacement. these issues were seen on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and macOS Sierra. The replacement unit only works with the pen connected to the charging cable. This behaviour is same in all three OSes mentioned above.I emailed to service at huiontablet dot com with the issue but there is no response from them. Now it all seems like a waste of time. I would've much better off with buying a slightly expensive wacom tablets and be done with the tablet and move on to my work.It is really unfortunate that I have to return this unit too. I really like the feel of it, the convenience of large area, express keys and soft keys for this price. But it must be done considering that I am unable to use the pen without the cable attached. Also, after reading all the complaints for the Huion products, I feel that even if somehow this gets fixed, I will run into issues sooner than later.Note: I had posted a review earlier, but dont seem to find it anywhere. Not sure why.

NOT WORTH INVESTING IN.

By Palashon
It has a really bad surface, gets scratched easily.I did suggest buying a wacom instead of this, even though you get a smaller one.I regret investing in a huion, getting lured by the size offered at this price. It's drivers aren't fully optimized for photoshop,or illustrator properly, you are bound to face slow tracking or glitches at some point. It does look good, design wise, ample space for keeping the hand, also has a decent pen, but fundamentally and functionally, this won't last you long.I am a regular user of a pentablet, and it getting scratched, even after proper usage and with it's own new nib, hurts.

Easy to use graphics tablet

By Athreya Chidambion
This is my first graphic tablet. I have never used one even as a trial, so I can't compare it to any. Almost like learning to swim by jumping into the deep end! I've been using for 2 days now. Unlike a lot of other reviews I didn't find it hard to get it working. I forgot that it has a 8gb of memory on which the drivers are stored - so I almost downloaded the drivers! duh! But it's very easy to use and I'm currently using it instead of my mouse. I'd suggest if you're new to graphics tablets like me watch youtube videos. There are plenty of them. I'd also recommend getting the glove - it just helps not smudging the tablet incase your fingers/palm is greasy / dirty. I'd also change / disable the shortcut keys so it suits you. I'll probably be in a better position to review this in a month or so. It's value for money for beginners thats for sure.

But this tablet is amazing for the price

By Yogeshon
I really had doubts about this tablet. But this tablet is amazing for the price. If you are starting out in digital art then I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. For experienced users who are used to higher end Wacoms I'd say stick with wacom.First of all there is no installation CD, you have to download drivers from Huion website. If you have read review below, you may be in doubt about compatibility but fear not. The latest drivers on Huion website are perfect. I went to website, downloaded and installed the drivers, opened photoshop and started using the tablet without doing anything else. Huion drivers used to be problematic but this is not the case anymore. As to the tablet itself. The pressure sensitivity is good. I'd say 8/10. There is no pen tilt support. Large tablet size is really helpful for large monitors. If you are using laptop or below 20 inch screen then you may have to put an effort for long strokes. The express keys are really amazing. Those will save you a lot of time. If you configure them as per your preference then you can keep keyboard aside and use only tablet. Product looks really nice. Material though is not really great. It seems like it may develop scratches overtime. But don't let this stop you, do what I did. Put a plain A4 paper on top of tablet surface and then use it. Putting paper will not affect the performance, at least it was not noticeable to me. If you want good feel then use a bond paper used for printers.Application support seems great. I have only used it with Photoshop & ZBrush. And it works great in zbrush without any issues. I didn't configure anything extra for ZBrush. It just worked fine on first try. The latest drivers seem to work great. One last thing, it doesn't matter if you are Picaso on paper, using tablet takes time. You will need to practice some time before you can start using it naturally. Even for hand writing it won't come out great on first try but in 1-2 days you'll get used to it.Overall at this price this is a really decent tablet. Don't expect miracles though it is still not as good as high end wacoms but at this price it's good deal. Overall 8/10 from me.

Best bang for your buck.

Delivery was quick and there was absolutely no problems in installing the drivers and hooking up the tablet to my PC. This tablet has 2048 levels of pressure which is what you’d expect from anything half decent these days – by comparison, the Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch (which from what I can tell is what became of the Bamboo range, which itself is now not even a range of drawing tablets at all, just pads) only has 1024 pressure levels. So you get more for a less price with Huion. The matte slightly rough textured drawing surface (10 x 6.25 inches) is the perfect size for a tablet in my opinion, and if you want to, you can change the active area size in the settings. I’m still not sure why anybody would want to do this, but each to their own, and I’m sure it’s handy for some. The tablet comes with a pen holder which contains spare nibs and the nib removing tool, the USB lead to plug it in and the USB pen charging lead. The pen is really light. Possibly a little too light due to the lack of internal battery, but again, it’s not something that bothers me personally {i am used to drawing with pencils which are very light too} The pen is slightly rubbery in feel, and has the usual assignable barrel buttons where you’d expect them to be. So how does it feel to draw with? smooth and precise. It took me a while to readjust my hand/eye coordination and the way I draw, having to get used to finding an optimum (and comfy) drawing position again, but after a few minutes of fidgeting and drawing really bad things, I find it really really nice to draw with. Drawing with the tablet is quite frankly an amazing experience. It feels almost too easy. It has a 233 RPS report rate (something that even the lower end Wacoms don’t have) and so far has had no response issues. Even the distance between the tablet and the height at which the pen is responsive feels perfect. I barely fiddled with the tablets pressure sensitivity settings and found them to be exactly right, and the level of detail I can get with very little effort is pretty astounding. This model even comes with Macro SD card support AND a 4GB Macro SD card already in it so you can save your work to it. Another nice touch there Huion The final thing I need to waft under your nose if what I’ve told you so far is somehow not tempting you to buy it already, is that the Huion H1060 Pro+ comes with a nicely placed set of six (double sided) hot keys and sixteen programmable hot spots along the top of the tablet surface. A big time saver for undo’s/redo’s and whatever else you would need to set the buttons to do. So for anyone looking to get into digital painting. This is the best bang for your buck. Wacom has a new competition and i don't see them staying on top for long.

Best till date

Hi friends, I was a Wacom (No servicing in India) Intous user from last 7 years, but I've bought this and I am very much satisfied. The working surface area and the sensor of the product is simply awesome. I would suggest everyone students and professionals just to go for Huion instead of Wacom. Value for money and satisfaction of work. I would love to give it a 100 stars rating. This is a 100% professional pen tablet with such a low price.

Great product

By Pallabon
Nice product. Its my first graphic pad and I loved it. Must buy for beginner. It has all the features, it shd have as a graphic pad with the addition of 12 hot keys. USB cable could have been little more stardy, otherwise great product.

Perfect product!

By Sejuti Balaon
excellent product, the touch sensors and the response is amazing, anything I've drawn with it has been excellent, for the price range this IS the product to go for.

Excellent Purchase!

By Anand Prakashon
Note: I am not a professional pen tablet user, so don't consider any of my experience if you are looking for an expert advice. Bought it at effective price of ~7300. They delivered the upgraded version which has surface extended up to express keys area ,which makes it more beautiful than it's predecessor. It has L shaped micro USB. Best purchase this year for me as this device has unlocked a lot of new things I can do with my computer. Surface- pen engagement is good. Driver Software is simple and neat. There is no glove or carry bag included in box as seen in some youtube reviews/unboxing of New Huion 1060 plus. Comes with plugged in 8GB microsd which has installation files.
