Pros: Very easy to setup. The admin page is just wonderfully easy to configure and very easy to understand.You only need to remember the admin page password (make it strong), as all the other passwords would be saved.Works with all internet service providers.Even has a guest network.So totally you, can have 4 networks, 2x2.4 GHz and 2x5Ghz. Has a firewall but you want to stay away from that if already have internet security suite in your PC.Range is very good for a 2000 sq. feet house. 2 storeys down and up receive the signal with 2 bars less but you should place it near a window or a balcony. Has 3 years warranty.Cons: myDlink app is terrible. Shows very few things. But it's not very important.Can only restrict the signal power and data usage for all networks but you cannot restrict the speed which is very weird for a high end router.

OMG this router is awesome, the range is exactly what it is suppose to be, wireless ac ( 5ghz ) is not known for its range but its speed when the router and the device connected are in the same room with a clear line of sight. 2.4Ghz is avg, speeds and range are decent enough.The interface is easy to use. This router does not make sense for anyone who does not have heavy file transfers in their own networks, streaming from a NAS etc, for simple internet browsing much cheaper options are available .Please note to connect to 5Ghz networks your device ( phone, laptop, console etc) need to have a 5Ghz compatible card.To use the full speeds of wireless ac your device needs to be wireless ac compatible.

A big cut over most home routers - This extra long range router has manged to replace 3 regular AC band home routers. The Beamforming capability ensures full wifi coverage over an 1700 SQ ft hours - the router is in one corner of the house. Voice calls are much better - less disturbance and better clarity and quality.A very simple and easy to use interface (which prompts to update to the latest firmware) which nevertheless provides a solid set of customization and got me up and running in less than 10 mins .Strongly recommended - Only sorrow is I missed buying this on the lightning deal .

Excellent Product from D-Link. This router is exactly what I wanted for my NAS. Range is good. It has usb 3.0 port as well and 4 gigabit ports which is highly recommended if you are investing in Network Attached Storage. The user interface is very simple compared to what D-Link has on few other routers. I get around 100 Megabytes/second from my NAS with this router which helps me a lot as I have few computers and I need my files on all of them. This router is great for media consumption.

A really good router. The dual band configuration, smart beam tech, and easy QoS up the convenience factor of home networking. The router is easy to set up, and this router is a monster when it comes to speed. However it need some caution when updating firmware, you need to double check if your hardware version corresponds with the software version.So far I've found no issues in the WiFi radio, signal strength. No bugs either. And the router doesn't heat up. It's got USB 3.0 and dlna support too, so you're all set for a future proof wireless home networking.

I decided to buy a new Wireless router to replace my perfectly still working Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G2 (it worked for over 5 yrs without any major complaints as the number of devices in my home has increased over the past few years - 2 Laptops, 2 iPads, 2 Phones, 1 printer, 1 UHDTV and recently I upgraded my ISP plan to a 50 Mbps one. I was looking for a Wireless Router which can serve me close to 3-5 years and able to be future-proof for the near to mid term. after reading the reviews (refer to the CNET reviews this was in the Best 802.11ac routers of 2015) manual , I finalized on the DIR-868L for the below reasons - Dual Band (2.4GHz & 5 GHz) - Guest Network - USB 3.0 Port to host Printer or eHDD - Cloud & Mobile Support (Remote Management of Router) -QoS -Gigabit Wired Connection other vanity based reason, it looked different. Also have had a good experience with D-LINK (Have another router DSL-2730U) Though a bit pricy (8K+) i decided to go with this Router I received this product 5 days ahead of guaranteed Delivery date (Love this from Flipkart) Getting this modem up was very simple, just plug it into the Modem and the WiFi is up in close to 2 minutes. Configuring the Modem is also simple (I think, the UI for the Modem Configuration interface is simplified for the Novice user: provided they know what they are setting up) My entire network was configured up in less than an hour (2.4 and 5 Band Wifi, 1 2.4 Guest network, Printer, QoS, Mobile and Cloud configuration, eHDD) Now here's where i am not happy: 1. The Device i received was with Hardware Version B1 and Firmware 2 (I was prompted to upgrade the FIRMWARE which i did without issue) All guides and review i read had the Hardware Version A1, where the Modem Configuration UI was different and there are features that have changed. One major missing feature is MAC Filtering, this isnt available on the B1 version (I've raised a Support with D-LINK about this and Awaiting their reply) 2. The reviews mentioned that the cloud and mobile are lacking in features and functionality, it doesnt impress for now, they are nice to have features but need a lot of improvement 3. USB 3.0 with eHDD the user experience of the Shareport Ap lacks a lot in feature and functionality. finally, if you are used to all the blinking lights on you modem, you will have only 2 buttons and lights on this one. Its been 2 days since I've been using this Router, may update in the next few weeks with any new comments and experience that needs to be shared

This router is fairly decent. Has few good stuff packed like gigabit Ethernet ports, high speed dual band wireless. Router admin user interface is very fluid and nice. Has decent range. Should cover about 1500 sqft area if the router is placed correctly. Good for gaming and media streaming in HD only if you have a good ISP speed which is not always available across the country. Though this device packs six internal antennas they don't live up the performance level of Netgear nighthawk series or Asus RT-AC high-ends. You should rather put your money for more newer model routers than investing on 2013 router model.
