First if all it took over 3 weeks for flipkart to deliver this item. Item was misplaced and what not! After it finally arrived I was expecting miracles as i Live in a 2 BHK 700 Sq/ft home and this router DOES EXACTLY same as my old low budget Belkin Router. I have a Nexus 5 (which is an AC Band certified product), and in the SAME room as the router I do not get full signal. Its drops to 4 out of 5 bars. Hugely disappointed with it. I will call D-Link over the weekend and see if I need a replacement or is this the actual performance of this product. Definitely Not worth 5k

I brought it for my home some 8 months back, and it serves my two laptops, two mobile phones, and one PS4 smooth internet without any problem from my 4mbps broadband line. It has 2 bands - 2.4GHz and 5GHz, but I have never used 5GHz band. The 2.4GHz band is sufficiently serving me the requirements. I strongly recommend this product to all. Go for it. 5 stars from me.

I think this one is the best entry level dual band AC router (802.11ac) router for small office/home that works well. A typical N router doesn't go above 20mpbs speed. Negative it that do not expect to attach large NTFS file system like 2 TB hdd to USB. Works with my ACT fibre net and I am able to utilize 50mpbs plan, haven't tested on 100mbps plan. I have been using it for over a month, no issues so far. Interface to setup is so easy, you get map of devices connected, set QOS priority for devices connected and so on.

The router provided by D-Link is perhaps the best in this price range for Indian market.The highlights of the router are -1. Excellent coverage range - I have a 1400 Sq. Ft. house with a typical 2 BHK apartment configuration; and even though the router is placed in the entry point (i.e, the Living room), the router is able to provide a very good wifi coverage even in the last bed-room of the house. I have a Samsung galaxy Grand, a OnePlus One, Lumia 920 and all of those get good signals in the entire house (Samsung Grand did not get signals earlier when I was using a DLink DSL 2750U).2. Dual Band Connectivity - Comes with simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency for providing the best of both worlds - 2.4 GHz for the range and 5 GHz for the speed. While connecting, two network SSIDs are listed, one with 5 GHz appended to the name, so we can select either of them. And if the 5 GHz band goes out of range, it can automatically connect to the 2.4 GHz one.3. Connectivity options - It has WPS for convenient pairing, USB connectivity (v 2.0) for media sharing etc, as well as 4 LAN ports. Most important part is that it provides Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. And, N300+AC900 provides a very good overall bandwidth.4. Cloud Access to router - DLink provides certain apps such as mydlink Lite and Shareport, which allow to control the router (even shutdown, reboot, etc) remotely using the app; and also allow for sharing of content.5. Value For Money - Again one of the best parts about this router is the awesome value for money that is provided by this router. There are obviously better routers available in the market and I too was puzzled in zeroing down to a perfect router, including some AC1750 Archers from TPLink, Asus as well as Netgear. But at this price point, I could not find any better router providing all round specs.6. Form factor - a dome shaped router that is rather unusual in the rectangular shape dominated router market. I feel that the shape is also responsible for providing this good coverage range. It looks really pleasant standing tall on the rack in my living room with other gadgets.I was concerned whether the internal antennae would be able to provide with a more than average range or not since I had always used External Antennae routers earlier; but I was bowled over by the performance of this router.Easily recommendable to anyone in need of an all rounder router without the need to purchase any external wifi-extenders..

The router is doing its job, i basically wanted some router that could support 100Mbps throughput without getting messed up cause of bad built.Have 100Mbps ACT Internet connectivity and now the throughput is around 98Mbps, very impressive.Range is good too, even while on parking my car or leaving from home the wireless is reachable at some distance.Will highly recommend this.

+ Easy to setup.+ May be okay for very small apartments but in general the WiFi range is not good.- Below par speeds: worse that after few years, this router became the bottleneck in speed. Initially, it was connected to a rather slow BSNL ADSL broadband and performed well although that's relative because the broadband speed was 2Mbps max. Later, upon switching to 16Mbps and then 100Mbps fibre broadband (fibre-to-the-home), this router could hardly deliver WiFi speeds over 7-8Mbps even with just a metre separation from it with no obstructions.

Great router ... got Hardware Rev B, has a few bugs and the admin interface is more jazzy rather than functional but still its great.[update 18.06.2017]: I just realized that the firmware upgrade from 2.06 to 2.07 has changed key security features and there is no way to change it. Till 2.06, it did not respond to any internet probe and remained in stealth mode, not suddenly SSH port is open, PPTP port is open and rest are reported closed. Dlink knows how to make good cheap hardware but their software sucks. I wish I had bought 860L, which can be customized with DDWRT; not 850L.

I had a working Linksys e900. I bought this router for 3 reasons.1. Extended Range: But I'm highly disappointed with the range of this new router. It's exactly same as my previous router which was a cheaper one. So no point spending on this.2. Supports media sharing via hard disc or thumb drive: In this area too, the router is pathetic!! My normal 1TB HDD is not detected at all... My 32GB and 16GB pen drives are detected, but of the 1000s of files in it, it only shows some 20 odd image files. Rest of the movies, mp3s are not even detected. Also, the router becomes very very slow when a drive is connected.3. Speed: When standing next to the router, speed is great. Exactly same as ethernet speed. Moment I go to the room just next door, speed drops 50%!I should have just invested in a simple WiFi extender instead of this product! Repenting more as Amazon is not ready to replace this with some other better product. It's less than a month since I bought this.
