Good product, works well with Fabernet internet SP. less than 30mins for configuration, few minutes for firmware upgrade. Media stream via Wifi is good not caching for HD videos. Good coverage with 5to6mbps in my 3 floor house out of 15mbps total bandwidth, Good speed for video playing. No need to mention about Amazon delivery, much earlier than expected. Over all good experience.

I bought this router last year (May 2015) and have been using it with ADSL Broadband, without any issues. This is a powerful router for the price range. I use it to work from home, streaming media & files between devices including WiFI direct on my Smart TV. The router is extremely reliable and haven't had any signal drops (which was an issue with my previous Cisco router). The range is powerful and covers my entire 2300 sq. ft apartment. The one function that I would have liked is the ability to create a separate guest account.

Dlink is something u can always rely on...but dint know there are so many types..ADSL2 route..Modem Router, this and that...no one specified whats required for Cable Broadband without a Modem..I had to call the technician..He checked it and said its a good router :-) But i had Firewall issue so had to reformat my PC to get it connected. I have kept it near the main pc and I can use from other room even in bathroom. I have connected max 3 mobile phones, PC and a laptop together and it worked though slow as my net package got bankrupt..lol. I hardly turn it off. Once it is off u require to log in again ..thats it :-)

i got this product from e-mall at chandni chowk, kolkata for 1750 bucks.......i was confused between linksys e-900 and this one and finally went for this product.......and i must confess this product is amazing, working like charm.......I use SITI BROADBAND which only provides me the cable but no modem and this router work like charm.....setup was like breeze hardly took 5 minutes and the range is very good thanks to two 5dbi antennas .....it covers my 4400sq.ft(2200sq.ft x 2 floors) house completely and even receive signal at the farthest corner of my ground floor( router placed on 1st floor) and using the product continuously for over 48 hours till now there has been no drop in signal till now and I would strongly recommend this product. and those complaining about the DoS attack........there is ARP protection option in the advanced option......enabling this option will also prevent the DoS attack as ARP is the main gateway for all these attacks by mallicious users...

Now, there are 2 types of users 1) Those who want to set it up and forget 2) Those who want to use it's administrative features, tweak it I'm the 2nd type but i'll also discuss it from the 1st type of people also . : For TYPE 1 people : . Pros * Very good range. I used to have an entry level router (IBALL IB-WRX150N). There is definitely a difference in range with this router * Very less heating comapred to iBall * Design is not bad. LEDs are quite visible. It has got a nice curved body * Easy to setup, if you know your network details Cons * Antennas are not detachable (Should not be an issue for most people) * Power cord is too short. This irked me a bit, but it's just doable Score 4.9/5.0 You can go for this router, especially if you want a better range Type 1 people can stop reading here Type 2 can continue reading . : For TYPE 2 people : . Cons * No dd-wrt support (The developers confirmed that no dd-wrt firmware will ever be released for this router) * Automatically logs off after 60 seconds if you have logged in the admin page (This is essential if you want to monitor usage) * Bandwidth Checking - No way to check which device is consuming how much bandwidth * DHCP - Not working properly. I have a temporary fix but still quite clunky * MAC filtering - Does not work (Filters get deleted automatically) * For every little change in configuration, you need to restart the router. Say if you want to apply a QoS filter, then you have to give a soft restart * Interface can be buggy if using Chrome browser. My requirement was very strong antenna in affordable price. Signal has to penetrate at-most 4 walls of 5 inch bricks.2 strong antenna(5db) does the job for me.I researched all 300mbps Rs2000-2500 models of all make.This research includes going through reviews on internet+going through owner manuals from respective product support sites. E900 (MIMO Tech+SMART) was in my mind but finally took expert advise and bought this one. Pros: 1> Very easy to set-up.I took 10 min to set it up for my PMPL broadband which uses static IP.(I was touching a router for first time) 2> Very strong and stable WI-FI connection.I can surf net with my DELL from behind 4 walls. 3> You can off wireless network when not in use.(This may be true in any product) 4> It has a WPS button in one side which is missing in product description section in FLIPKART site. (I am yet to utilize it). 5> Very strong built. 6> Minimal heating. Cons: 1> Looks are backdated compared to E900.(May not be cons for all like me) 2> Cloud service. (Its pretty useless for home use) 3> With stock firmware it can do little to prevent DoS attacks.But again the models has that facility actually became slow performer and will render slow speed.Because it takes lots of processing power in the router.As well 100% DoS proofing technology is only lying with US defense and not for general use till date.(Ask google) FLIPKART service: At first I thought it was negative.But when I came to know from my co-worker that he doesn't received his order and courier service informed that it is delivered.After calling CC the issue was resolved with some delay. Then I decided that mine was OK. I used cash on delivery option .

The router is amazing. It has amazing range for wifi zone. The dual antenna gives real good speed and range. Since i have configured many routers, configuring this was a piece of cake. One issue i got was that the moment i connected to the router via WIFI, it rebooted/disconnected. I raised this issue with flipkart and they immediately raised a request for replacement. But while surfing on the net i found that this was a common problem and we needed to upgrade the firmware. Once i did the firmware upgrade, the router worked like a charm. I didn't even take the replacement sent by flipkart. So in the end, if your router is disconnecting, check firmware version and upgrade. The videos to do so is available in youtube.

1. Nice product from D-link. 2. I am using it for my alliance internet connection. 3. I use to connect the device from my laptop , my mobile etc. 4. I have configured and placed the wifi in my 1st floor, It is working fine from ground floor as well as from my nearby lane. 5. As usual best delivery and packaging. I ordered it via COD. CONS: The device is coming with a LAN cable but it is short in length. Thanks to flipkart!!!!
