After almost 2.5 years, works almost like new. Battery has held up really well even after almost 700 cycles (Still at 85% health) and SSD only has a 7% wear. The display still amazes me with its quality and great anti-reflective coating, just wished it was slightly brighter but that is just nitpicking.Build quality has remained top notch throughout and it even survived a fall with only some cosmetic damage. Though be careful regarding the anodised finish on the bottom lip of the laptop as it reacts with the sweat of certain people (needs a specific type of body chemistry) like me and can result in a little chipping off of the finish. Edges of the body have usage marks too but all this is only visible from close. Compared to an Alienware i purchased, it has held up visibly better.Internals are still rock solid, though i might have to get the fan cleaned in a year or so (no significant heating though). Webcam quality isn't the greatest but its fine for basic usage and the power indicator alongside is a really nice feature.The speakers are still working great with no cracking. Their loudness and quality as compared to similar laptop is still amazing. The case vibrates slight at higher volumes, probably due to the fall, might have to get the screws slightly tightened.I can safely say that this laptop will certainly last me 2.5 more years easily. 5 years running at 100% capacity with no compromises is amazing and makes a 90k laptop look worth the money.

It's been almost two years with this product. I should say this is the best purchase I've ever made. Got it for 89k in diwali dhamaka sale. Around 20k off! I was told it would cost 112k in apple store after student discount and 115k on flipkart. So, I'm happy AF.Pros:1. Best trackpad in the world. There is no competition here.2. It has the best parts of windows os UI and Linux os command line. That's why most developers love mac. You can customize almost everything like in Linux. Google "dotfiles macos" to find a git repo to do that.4. Trackpad gestures are awesome.5. It's been 2 years and it performs like a new laptop.6. Build quality is the best. No competition here.6. Battery lasted 9-10 hours of browsing when bought. After 2 years it is 7-8 hours. Battery degraded to 88.2% of full capacity after 750 cycles. There are competitors like dell xps in battery but windows is not on par with macos.7. You can dual boot windows os with the help of built-in mac app to use windows only softwares. Would be the fastest windows laptop you've ever used if you dual boot.Cons:1. Would take 5-10 days to completely get used to new OS if you are coming from Windows.2. You'd hate to use other laptops' trackpad after a couple of months.3. You can't withstand all those slow laptops. It's like how you get used to the fast internet and you can't withstand slow speeds once in a while.Biggest con:1. You can't happily upgrade to 2016 or 2017 versions as they have removed MagSafe connector for charging, replaced USB ports with USB-C and I didn't like the feel of the new keyboard when I've tried it out in the apple store.All my plans of giving this old laptop to my sister and get the latest version are shattered which this update. :(

I was Windows laptop user till now, planned to buy this once and try. Let me tell you, this laptop is amazing. Excellent display, so light weight.. lightening speed.Only problem I face in MacOS is difficulty in adjusting to new OS. Windows felt much more user friendly. You might need little time to adjust and unlearn windows and learn macOs(if you are first time using this product). Else it is a beast.

It's being 2 years I am using and I can say, nothing can beat Macbook Pro in terms of Laptop. Once you use Macbook Pro, you'll hate to touch the keys & touchpad of other products. I have some negative comment from my clients, that's everything I show on my Macbook Pro they love the graphics and display, whereas the same they don't get on their laptop :PHighly Recommend for Tech People.
