I am one of those who wanted to be part of the 'Apple' ecosystem for a long time. Therefore, this time when I was changing my ageing laptop I thought of going for a MacBook. Well! for a regular PC/ Windows user the switch-over was bound by skepticism and apprehension. Finally, I made up my mind and gave order through Amazon.The product was delivered well before time. Kudos to Amazon team for yet another on time delivery, which has become their USP!My review on using the MacBook for well about a week is as under :-Battery - Lasts on an average for nearly 11 to 12 hours post full charge (of course this also depends on the kind of applications that are run). This is the uniqueness of the product which makes it well ahead of other competitors in the market.Portability - Amazed by the slimness and weight. Can be compared to a tablet rather than a laptop in terms of its portability.Build Quality - Elegant and sophisticated. Will definitely grab attention and envy of your neighbour!Display - I think the resolution of 1440 x 900 on a LED backlit is very good and eye pleasing. Of course those who can shell another 40 to 60,000 bucks can go for the Retina based MacBooks.Performance - Damn impressed. Very quick start up and shut down. All flash architecture makes the machine incredibly fast.The best parts:1) SSD : I mean the transfer speeds with the Apple SSDs are crazy!!! Write speed is 576MB/s and Read speed is 721MB/s(based on Blackmagic benchmark test), I don't think u can see that level of speed anywhere... because of this speed, the app launch is faster and the boot time is less than 10 seconds with latest Mavericks OS X2) super light weight: I mean 1.35kg is really light. One can lift the laptop with one finger, I could never do this before.3) Astounding battery: I use the laptop like really a lot and I got more battery backup than my smartphone!! 2.5 days (with one movie and document editing and browsing over wifi for 3hrs or so)!!! I mean it is hard to drain this Macbook air's battery :)4) Screen: The resolution of this 13inch MBA is 1440x900, which becomes ~130ppi... 130 ppi is really good enough... some people say it is not retina display and other such stuff, but with Retina display you won't get such good battery backup and this screen is clear enough for others to feel jealous of your laptop ;)What I didn't like:1) The first and foremost is RAM. It uses 4GB LPDDR3 RAM which can't be upgraded. well for my use, it is good enough but others it might be a little less.2) SSD can be upgraded to 512GB max, but as usual it is very expensive(last time i checked the Apple guy told me 28k more to upgrade to 512GB SSD. Again, I take my backup regularly so I don't need more than 256GB SSD.My verdict: This is one gorgeous looking laptop, which doesn't have any problemsOverall a worthy buy for the price!

Inspite of launch of new MacBook (12 inch one) I feel MBA 13 inch is still the best laptop in market.MBA is very very quick to boot up and shut down. works flawlessly with whatever you throw at it. Transfer speed are amazing (both port are USB 3.0). Display view angles are very good, sound is decent. When you compare with new MacBook; Magnetic charging cable and 2 usb port are something which are deal winner for this 2 year old machine.In all very happy with MBA (MacBook Air). and would recommend it over new MacBook.

Amazing Product . Easy to use. I have also made my transition from windows to macbook , and loving it. On the specs it was given mavericks but i received Yosemite. Packaging was good . Fedex was slow to deliver. Display, Keyboard & screen size is good. And the best part was the discount. It cost me exactly 67K for 256 GB. Battery Backup is amazing. Charging is fast.

Good specs...super light...ssd..loooooong battery... Apple India warranty...Q4 2014 model...all this at 20% disc...you should be mad to leave this deal... The new one only has Intel 6000 graphics which doesn't make sense as power users will go for macbook pro..Amazon delivery is too good..ordered it at 11:45 previous day...delivery in 12 hours...great packing..mcheck with apple team and the piece is brand new...can't say the same for snapdeal.... Flipkart is very expensive
