Overall this was a satisfying deal..It has a sturdy construction and the cable is really good,i mean strong unlike those provided with Seagate drives which loosens after an year of use..The only problem,the speed is not what the specification on the site claims to be..i tested it on USB 2(Large file - 25mb/s,Small files - 15-20mb/s) and USB 3(Large file - 70-50mb/s,Small files - 30mb/s)..Good enough for home use..
As for,so called Military grade construction,well i am not gonna dip it into water or throw it on the ground just to test..but it does look like it can take an accidental hit...I highly recommend it

This is very good product good reading and writing speed on usb 3.0 but i think i made a mistake i should have spent a little more to get a 1 tb hard disk than this coz i dont need this sturdiness as i am a very safe person

Have dropped it quite a few times (accidentally of course) and its absolutely fine... haven't tried dumping it in a bucket of water and nor do I intend to so try someone else to see of its waterproof... but shock proof definitely... the extra money if definitely worth it for the peace of mind you get...

As advertised, a good drive with shock resistant casing. Quick startup. Wondering why I didnt go for the 1 TB drive :(
Only downside is it uses a non-standard USB port. So you need its own cable to connect the drive. So be careful about not losing the shipped cable.

I saw some user complaining like cable isn't tightly sit in HDD's port. Nope, My HDD is perfect, Actually It's tight enough to the level that you can lift your hdd by holding the cable.. No noise, No heat generated, No data transfer limit (format your hdd to NTFS), No connecting issues. Very solid, looks perfect, performs well.. ?

The Durability and the built quality of the product does actually feel like military grade.Buying a black color indeed has its own cons, attracts a lot of lint.(I keep it in bag sometimes)Wire sometimes feel like it should've been a bit more long. And yes the flap to cover the USB port is li'l bit loose, so I prefer not to take it with me in the shower
