A great Gadget, though bit overpriced (updated review)
By Bansal Gauravon
Comments as per first impression (based on 3 days use)
1. Design: Nothing new
2. Build Factor: Quite slim from previous grand and also the faux leather back flap makes it better. The front body is textured (like MEGA 6.3) and looks better than original Grand.
3. Performance: Absolutely Lag-free. I don't play games and my priorities are performance widgets and business organizer apps along with PDF and document editors and these work well.
4. Camera: Haven't used much, but seems fine.
5. Screen: i don't know, why a few people have complained about its screen. The screen has good contrast and with anti glare film the text is rendered very well.
6. Music: Loudspeaker is great; quite loud and clear and with power-amp its delight to hear the music.
WHAT IT LACKED IN MY OPINION:
Super-amoled screen and gorilla glass protection, also flip cover could have been provided. Not saying samsung could have given everything, but at least Gorilla glass II should have been there.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now i have used the device for 2 weeks and tried almost all apps i wanted too, so here is the comprehensive update
Battery Life: Really good, mine giving 1.5 days backup once fully charged
DISPLAY: Though not the best, but still very good, size matters and the large size gives it advantage when it comes to reading news, e-books etc.
SOUND: This device produces best music i have ever heard in a phone, only my Cowon D2+ provides a better headset sound than this, plus the unique features like: Sound Adapt (which customizes the sound as per the headphone/headset), Lyrics Integration, Smart Equalizer, and
Voice commands for audio playback seriously improves the user experience.
Don't use third party music players like player pro or poweramp as the stock music player is best. I have tried them all and ultimately un-installed them despite having an full version purchased for my earlier devices.
HARDWARE: I am using 16 screen widgets, which need constant data from rss feeds, apart from the 112 downloaded applications. Still, the phone is still working smooth and nice. Now beyond this i don't want some torture tests as i have installed all the useful applications i need.
DESIGN: same as my earlier comments. But, buy LF SZLF back case cover with bumper for this phone, it would provide ample protection and would seriously improve the grip and appearance of the gadget.
EXTRA FEATURES: Multi windows, which was first provided in note 3 is there and its a really cool feature, check youtube for this feature
Sound Adapt, Smart equalizer, stock battery save mode, and story album, new app exclusive to samsung Note 3 and Grand 2.
SUGGESTIONS for BUYERS: buy matte screen guard instead of clear, as matte really suits this device, buy portronics stylus as again this particular stylus suits it best, and finally buy LF SZLF case cover or flip cover
VERDICT: A really good gadget
Bit pricey Samsung Galaxy Grand 2
By Arun Rajappaon
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is overall a good smart phone, but price is bit on higher side.
If it starts selling @ (15K to 18K) it will be the best smart phone worth for buying.
Its an excellent phone

Its different than the Moto G by many features..
1. Memory
My preference - Grand 2
No, 16Gb inbuilt memory of the MotoG isn't just enough. You need a lot more space. Even though The Grand 2 has 8Gb internal its enough bcz u kno the extendable option is still there.
Also G2 has 1.5GB ram vs MotoG's 1GB ram
2. Camera
My preference - Grand 2
8Mp and 1.9MP front Grand 2 camera vs 5mp moto and 1.3MP Moto G camera.
3. Display
My preference - Tie
Moto G has a smaller display with a little more pixels
G2 has a larger display with lesser pixels
For me, G2 was decent enough and looked classy even with lesser pixels.
And i prefer a bigger screen so that depends on you wholly.
4. OS
My preference - Moto G
Moto G upgaradable to Kitkat
Both otherwise have the 4.3 Jellybean
5. Dual Sim
My preference - G2
You can have two sim cards and use the best features in each.
6. Stores and Repair Centres
My preference - G2 in India
Moto G has to be ordered online and there are no outlets i know of that you can go to to get ur device fixed etc, not sure if even parts are easily available.
G2 is Samsung, need i say more? Anywhere u go u get parts.
7. Games and Apps
My preference - G2
The Moto G in its 16GB doesnt let you use too many apps at once and ive heard of people saying FIFA 14 lags in it, so obv Asphalt will too.
The G2 has enough memory to support all the apps you want under one roof and besides all ur songs, pics and movies can be shifted to the memory card to make space for apps unlike in the Moto G.
8. Only u can decide whether the price is right for you because that depends on how important each feature is to you in the above 6. If you arent happy with things MotoG gives, you go for G2. If u dont need G2 features, stay happy with MotoG.
9. If u just need a phone for the time being and want to use it in the Short term the MotoG maybe a better option bcz even if it doesnt last long it still wont affect you.
If ur looking for something long term, G2 is preferrable bcz its got features that will cope with some of the best phones in the market and with upgrades and samsungs cheap and easy servicing it will still be value for money in the long term.
All mentioned above is my subjective opinion and it may differ from person to person. I choose G2 because i cant compromise on Memory & Servicing. For that i get advantage of a better camera and bigger screen and dual sim. I lose on Kitkat though.
Choose wisely. Both are good phones. Depends on what u need. Ive jotted down those features that mattered more to me.
Excellent phone
By Tejas Deshpandeon
Great feature phone. People criticize Samsung for expensive phones compared to other phone offering same features. But I have found Samsung phones more reliable and durable over other brands. I think the extra 3-4 k people should not hesitate to pay for the longevity of phone.
Nice features again but they should provide feature for moving apps to memory card. And flipkart should mention that this phone has a micro sim slot.
overpriced

this phone is too overpriced cmpared to the newly launched moto g and other xolo phones....though its havng btr specifications than moto g still its too overpriced for those specifications too....competition has increased samsung....grow up..
