If you don't mind setting it up manually, it's a great phone

This particular phone came with Hydrogen OS (very poor with features). Luckily, Oxygen installation takes 30 minutes at most, once you download ~780MB ROM.Also, both Hydrogen and Oxygen don't support notification icon badges out of the box, so you will have to use 3rd party apps for this. (I use Nova Launcher and Notifier)Hardware switch for silencing the phone has 3 positions. Normal, notify only for priorities (you can adjust what the priority is) and Don't notify at all. The thing is, if the phone deiced not to notify, it won't vibrate also. So if you actually wanted: Normal, Silence with vibration, Don't notify at all, you will have to use 3rd party app. I use Vibrate Mode.A bit older hardware shows sometimes. For instance it struggles with youtube videos on the beginning of the playback sometimes - fairly rarely. Nothing actually bothering.Apart from these, after one day of setting everything up, the phone is great (after 10 days of usage :) ). When compared to flagships, for standard usage, it actually misses nothing. Unless you really need fingerprint scanner or NFC.Display is great. I enjoy it very much. Before OnePlus x I had iPhone 5 and I find OPx a bit better, especially when it comes to display. Also Oxygen has some nice settings out of the box. Almost anything you really need (calls, messaging, camera, flash lite) is tree taps tops (usually two taps) away from the locked screen.
Best phone .. reliable and economical

I had used this phone for almost 2 years and 8 months. The phone has 3 GB RAM which is still the best as compared to today’s mid range phones and Apps available on Android. Needless to say performance was good.Internal storage is 16 GB and this can be a problem if unwanted files are not moved or cleared as downloads happen by default in the internal memory.Picture quality is good and can serve the purpose. Video capture is decent and also has slo mo recording.Battery backup is good and last for 15 - 18 hours depending on usage. My phone was in usage for almost 4 hours talk time daily basis and on 4 G always.Enjoyed the company of this phone
Superb mid range phone with stunning looks and great experience

Firstly the OPX which falls in the mid range price segment does not feel mid range when you hold this phone. The aesthetics feels premium because of the glass panel in the rear and metal finish on the sides. One plus ships the phone with a screen protector and transparent case to protect the phone from accidental falls. This is a good move by the company given there aren't any accessories available in the market yet.Camera: The best part of the camera is the lightening fast shutter speed. Clicks in a flash.Camera photos come out good with enough detail, though a bit noisyBattery : The battery life is average which lasts for little over a day with 2-3 hours of browsing on WiFi and 1hour of calling. I haven't faced any heating issues with the phone so far.Build quality : Build quality is top-notch, the metal frame looks good and provides great grip, while the onyx glass rear are what makes the OnePlus X look stunning, however the navigation keys should have been backlit Display:The display is excellent: it isn't among the brightest AMOLED displays but offers very deep blacks, excellent viewing angles and sunlight legibility.OS: Oxygen OS is a clean and light Android skin, which let's you enjoy the pure Android experience and the added extras such as the Ambient screen and unlocking gestures; The quad-core Snapdragon 801 is still quite a capable processor and a relevant performer. The 3GB of RAM will make multi-taskers happy;Speaker :Loudspeaker performance is about Average.Video : Video player supports all video formats but AC3 audio and subtitles are a no-go. The 1080p video samples are subpar and comparatively are not as good as the ones by the competitionAudio : Audio quality is decent with an external amplifier, but quickly turns to below average when the headphones are plugged in;Conclusion : OnePlus X will be a memorable mid-ranger everyone will want. It's an excellent piece of tech, a snappy performer with a lively hi-res AMOLED screen, with proper camera experience and all-round connectivity package.
Consider this change!

Amazing product for this price. Users looking for daily office related apps and that kind of usage must go for it. Heavy gaming app users should go for one plus 2. Best thing is the screen clarity and 3 GB RAM which makes it superb to use. Great body build is an added advantage!
A very good phone with pathetic support from OnePlus

I have been using this phone for over 2.5 years now. Overall the design, hardware and performance has stood upto the expectations. Though OnePlus has neglected this device completely and there has not been any update for it in months, infact in a year now. Please note OnePlus doesnt provide the accessories like chargers, charging cables, batteries for their phones and can discontinue any of the product anytime. I have kind of lost faith in the company. It started off with a goal but now the company has changed it its solely to make money and nothing else.
