Perfect high end phone at little price
By Ponson Thankavelon
I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. The phone is a awesome piece of creation. Here are my observations for last 3 days.
Pros:
The phone is blazing fast and lag free. I am able to open more than 20 apps in parallel and yet run lag free.
The speaker is loud and audible. Nice voice quality
Good signal reception. I have not faced any call drop even if I spoke continuously for more than an hour
I can play Asphalt 8, GTA San Andreas with high graphics in high performance mode without any lag. The phone becomes little warm while playing games. But, that is the case with all high end mobiles. But, this phone is far better than Xiaomi's Mi and Samsung phones in terms of heating. The battery temperature was just 43 degree after I played Asphalt 8 for 1 hour in high graphics. This is extremely good.
The phone provides 3 power modes namely 'Power Saving', 'Balanced' and 'High Performance'. You can play high end games by moving the mode to high performance. If you travel and wish the battery to stay longer then put the phone in 'Power Saving' mode. In Power Saving mode, it easily gives me 2 days of life time with 1 hour of total calling here and there along with 1 hour of internet browsing in 3g...
Screen definition is good but still not on par with Mi or Samsung. The contrast is little less but definitely it is enough for normal people. The contrast difference is only sensed when we bring another Samsung mobile nearby this. :D
Cons:-
The camera is below par when compared with Mi and other samsung, sony mobiles. But, I can live with that as I am not a photo freak. Besides, the clicked images and videos are not bad. They are little lower in grade compared to Mi but they are definitely not bad.... I would say that they are good but not very good...
There are some wifi glitches when tried to use it along with VPN connection. However, this is a software issue and hopefully will be fixed soon.
Verdict:- Guys, if you want a high performing device that can shoot decent photos with good voice clarity and singal reception and more than all doesn't heat much then go for it... You are making a right choice here...
Awesome Phone
By Emil Jos Thomason
I bought the phone through flipkart,as usual delivery was fine.
The phone doesnt have cyanogen logo on the backside
initially it runs on cyanogen 11 and android 4.4.4. but it got updated to cyanogen 12 running on android 5.0.2 within a hour.
it already has a screen guard on top of the phone.you may or maynot add an extra screen guard/tempered glass.
everything else regarding the phone is perfectly alright and running very smooth and fast.
the phone also comes with a 2A charger, which charges the phone very quickly.
Great Value for Money but there are some issues...
By Arjun Agarwalon
Believe me Oneplus One is the best phone in the 20k range if you crave for performance. No phone can beat that [3gb RAM + 2.5 ghz Snapdragon 801](HELL YEAH!)
But regarding some issues:
1) The phone worked perfectly with Cyanogenmod 11s (4.4.4) but after updating ota to Cyanogenmod 12 (5.0.2), touchscreen started behaving a bit wierdly. Many a times the touch does not register with the phone and double tap to wake feature also does not work sometimes. But this issue will be resolved after the Cyanogenmod 12.1 ota update which will come out in a few days.
2)The phone gets hot(~55 degrees) while charging and the charger gets very very hot. Not a big problem but thought i would mention it.
3) Many people have doubts regarding the free charger offer along with it. Flipkart is actually fooling you. The free charger is NOT a second charger but the primary charger that comes included with every phone. So do not get fooled :p.
Apart from these minor issues, the phone is a beast. I would like to point out the amazing battery life I get with this phone. With WiFi turned on all the time, I manage to get around 1.5 - 2 days of battery with moderate usage. So the battery life is phenomenal when compared to some other power hungry devices like the Nexus 5 and Galaxy s5.
All in all, it is a great buy.
And as usual the delivery was prompt and bang on time.
OnePlus One vs Moto X Play
By Adityaon
OnePlus One is no doubt a very good device. But is it worth buying in 4th quarter of 2015? Lets find out:
The only competitor it has right now is Moto X Play(Please don't compare Asus Selfie mobile with these two).
Gaming: If Gaming is your first priority buy OnePlusOne blindly. Moto X Play cannot match it here.
Sound Quality: It is slightly better than Moto X Play.
Camera: Moto X Play wins without any competition. If you are a camera lover, buy Moto X Play. Don't think twice.
Build Quality: Moto X Play is better.
Battery life: Moto X Play is slightly better. On paper Moto has much higher battery but in real life you will find less difference. But here Moto X is winner.
Future Proof: Moto X Play is again better. The reason is Moto X Play is released just 1 month ago. It will receive all the android updates in next 2 years. May be OnePlusOne will receive Android M. But don't expect more updates after that.
BottomLine: 1. If you are a kind of person who changes his/her mobiles every year buy OnePlusOne. (You will get Android M update and also get a hand on power of Snapdragon 800 series processor.) After that you can decide whether to purchase Snapdragon 800 series mobiles or not.
2. If you are a gamer and want to use mobile upto next 2 years buy OnePlusOne.
3. If you are a camera lover, and can sacrifice on processor power a bit, go for Moto X Play.
4. If you are a kind of person who wants to stick to one mobile for next 3 years. Please buy Moto X Play. The reason is it will definitely get all android updates for next 2 years. It has very good battery life and excellent camera. So even after 2 years there will be few mobiles who can beat Moto X Play. But OnePlusOne will get outdated after 1 year.

Good buy for the money you pay!
By Rajveeron
+ Good, sturdy phone, worth the buck for the hardware it comes with.+ Great battery life. You don't need to carry the charger everywhere you go. Easily get 12-15 hours per charge.+ Very fast at completing actions that otherwise took forever on my previous Nexus 4.+ Some cool finger gestures to operate the camera, music, etc.- The phone doesn't come with a pair of earphones. You'll have to buy a pair separately. (I bought JBL T-200 A in-ear)- The phone *must* be charged using the OnePlus charger only. Or brace yourself for long wait durations for charging to complete.- Screen at times unresponsive while playing games which involve tap-dragging your finger. Like Draw Something. This isn't a problem while carrying out your phone specific activities.- Ungroups apps that I have clubbed into a folder on the desktop. I don't know how and why, it happens and pretty often... Not very.
FLAGSHIP KILLER or is it?
By Sam Singhon
It is one of the finest sets around. But it has one issue and rather very annoying. some companies dont provide updates but oneplus shoves them into the set even if you want them or not. they want me to update to Android L 5.0 but the reviews are rather unfavorable and also there are issues with missing features like gesture control, 4K video, slow-mo video and stuff. That is why i do not want to upgrade but it starts the download in background and I loose data.Apart from this the device is a dream and works as intended, great purchase happy with it. One more thing if you are buying Cyanogen Mod dont you think it should come Pre-rooted. But as i say the benefits far exceed the drawbacks if you count them as drawbacks.SCREEN- personal observation when viewing videos especially at night the blacks are not very dark and that is not good seems dark-greyish at best. Also, the Oneplus has removed temprature control feature so that is a issue.Camera - Best videos ever with features like slow-mo and timelapse due to Sony-sensor which is the best in video tech. but not that good still pictures, above average but not flagship killer at all.Speakers - Inbuilt speakers are very loud, too loud to be true.Everything else is top-notch weather it be call quality or wifi-reception. no need to even talk about it.THANK YOU!
Crap

Please don't ever buy the product from OnePlus, It started uncovering its true colors, that is Touch Screen Issues (aka Ghost Touches, just google about this ghost touches problem for OnePlus One) a hardware problem and it will happen to all the devices after start using it. I was not having issues initially and all of sudden it started with these touch screen issues and the support people are telling me to do the factory reset (that din't help), even I swtiched to different ROM's and it did not help since it is a hardware problem. Please buy some branded company phones for your hard earned money.
Not a great buy. It boasts of a Gorilla Glass
By Nazmion
The phone is ok. Not a great buy. It boasts of a Gorilla Glass. I assumed that it would be a little bit more durable than the standard glass. This mobile fell on a tiled floor from 2 feet height on the top edge and it broke the screen. This happened within one month of buying it. And I did not go for insurance, unfortunately. The local OnePlus repair shop told me that this is not covered under warranty and charged me Rs. 12600/- for the new glass.
Worst Value for your money!!!
By Prismon
This is just fancy phone and not able to capture customers problem as contrary to it's claim. Dual sim and battery backup is utmost requirement and problem for any smartphone. This phone doesn't fulfill any of these. While I see both things available in yuphoria, yureka or moto series low budget device. 3GB RAM doesn't do any better than any 2GB RAM device. Actual cost of this phone should have been around 10k. Actually 8k taking dual Sim non availability. On top of that this phone has additional problem. You need to carry a thin pin all the time because you may need it should you require to change SIM. There is another additional issue. This phone doesn't have external memory sd card slot. Is this understanding of customer requirement you call it? SD card is no longer for storing files etc. It is more of taking back up for any vertical info that you don't want to take back up via cloud. I am frustrated with their marketing gimmick of phone only by invite as if they are selling some exclusive offerings only to find that this is as normal like any other low cost device.
